Upon entering her study, Apollonia saw Kylion’s figure drooping over the sofa. There was a towel, some dry clothes, and a set of tea placed on the table in front of him, but they seemed untouched.
Drenched in the rain, his hair was curlier than usual, and drops of water were falling from his sharp jawline.
“…You’ve arrived,” he said in a subdued tone, his eyes looking into the empty void.
“I was going to go looking for you.”
“I thought so. That’s why I’m here,” Kylion responded with a bitter smile on his face.
“Kyle, about what happened earlier—”
“You don’t need to explain,” he interjected, sounding as though he was holding something back. “I’m not the kind of person to interfere in those kinds of affairs, am I?”
“Kyle…”
