Even through his small struggle, Spire mustered enough strength to instantly get in his coat and fling a dagger at her, however, Ritta never let her guard down, hence the immediate deflection of the dagger with one of her steel arrows.
"Tasue," Damion crouched as he held her shoulder. " Many arrows will be flying around… I don't want them to hurt the people around, they aren't to be involved in this. I want to ask you something… can you make the stray daggers and arrows fall if they get close to these people??"
"I… I think I can." She answered, nervously.
"I'm counting on you, now, stay back," Damion said with a smile, knowing full well that she couldn't make all of them fall safely so he'd also have to watch where he was shooting, as well as account for the probabilities of the deflections, however, he didn't really have solid arrows yet so… it might not have concerned him as much. He watched the deflections Ritta managed to make with Spire's daggers and to his widened eyed surprise, she was already taking care of the same. The few deflected daggers were landing on gravestones and grass, places that didn't have people around it. Then again, he was more impressed to see the arrows Ritta used were all on the ground, 'she shot them so her arrows would drop immediately they came into contact with his daggers, deflecting both at the same time…' he deduced before reality struck that this couldn't go on forever.
"Ritta, where's Alloy??"
"She's on her way, she's dealing with his right hand man."
"Okay then."
"What will you do??"
"I'll buy time until she gets here. I'll need your help though, I'm not fast enough to see his daggers."
"No worries."
"Tasue. Let him go."
Tasue did as she was told and Spire got up, feeling like himself again. However, one more thing bothered him. But before he could ask it, a flaming arrow shot through his coat's bottom. He squinted back up at his brother holding up a bow and readying the next shot. A flamed arrow forming with the draw. He threw a dagger and it was deflected almost immediately. Upon glancing at Ritta, it was clear she was in charge of that. And so another clash of weapons began, Spire aiming and basically shooting his daggers straight at Ritta's and Damion's vital points, Ritta matching his speed and shooting arrows to deflect them and defend both in time, Damion, shooting straight at Spire, trying to prevent his mother's necklace being shot and trying not to kill his brother as well, and Tasue using her abilities to take care of any should-be stray projectiles.
"I see you inherited mother's ability, but you are still too inexperienced, too green!! With that aim, you'll never lay a scratch on me, let alone beat me!! You have to aim to kill!!" Spire said as he dodged as many arrows as he could.
"Where was that brotherly advice when we were kids??!!" Damion retorted.
Meanwhile, with the massive distraction of the fight, the towners were prepared with their homemade explosives, they threw the cocktail at the coffins. Sending multiple people a rush of happiness as they broke and ignited both coffins directly from the runes carved upon them. They began cheering as the flame grew bigger and bigger, and in no time, Damion noticed the shouts, as he looked behind, he noticed the fire. Directly from its source. His heart began wrenching.
"NO!!" He bellowed, turning and began running toward the fire up the hill-like graveyard to the center. Spire wasn't going to let that chance disappear and pulled a move, flinging four silver daggers at the same time toward Damion, this didn't bother his defender, Ritta, as she could easily deflect them, but, as she shot the third arrow, she watched the butt of the dagger come in contact with the fourth and they deflected each other, giving it a boost.
"Damion!! Watch out!!" Ritta called out.
Damion glanced back and tried to dodge the dagger he barely saw. A splash of blood spewed on the ground as the dagger slit through his lower right arm. He was lucky it didn't nick anything he needed to fight. But as expected, it hurt, and began bleeding as he held it. He ignored the physical pain… looking back at the fire and feeling nothing but the pain in his chest. He stood still, accepting the situation… however, Spire began laughing. The malicious laugh he held caused the whole area to go silent. They were confused. Until he revealed another truth.
"You really thought I put them there??!!" he continued laughing his heart out as he stood upright from his attack.
"What??" Damion began…
"I put these coffins here to demand obedience from this town!! But it seems they wish to suffer my anger as well." He walked a few steps inside the graveyard and stood behind a gravestone.
"These weaklings believed I used my parents to fuel my power… how wrong they were!! Do you know why I chose this town??!!" He clasped his hands together. "To remind you of everything!!"
Seeing this familiar pose, Damion and Ritta's mouths went agape, goosebumps began forming on their skins. "No…" Ritta exclaimed. Spire then shot his hands down to the grass, palms flat. A second later, the air felt slightly thicker, a very eerie and dark purple energy began flowing from his body, through his hands to the ground. Soon enough, the people also noticed this. Spire was ready, he then chanted.
"死骨の唸り (Shikotsu no Unari) — Deathbone Howl"
The ground began rattling, cracks were fore felt than heard from the six feet distance of multiple bodies buried there, the first one dug through the ground and arrived hand-first, it struggled a bit more before it was completely out, and in a few seconds, a wide selection of dead bodies had extracted themselves from their graves. Shocked as is, one of the towners pointed and stuttered, "That's… that's… Mrs… Mrs… MRS MAYOR!! IT'S THE MAYOR'S LATE WIFE!!"
Another one not too far from him pointed shouting, "THAT'S MY FATHER!!" And another, and another, and eventually, that entire side of Gami was in a complete riot and panic. The bodies of the dead weren't back for a chat though, the moment they had their bones and remainders of flesh set, they were set loose after them, one of them had already bit someone's leg and scratched them as well. Most of them only had sticks and the guns that they acquired to defend themselves, but it seemed almost hopeless to kill their own loved ones after they had already been taken from them before.
Damion, Ritta and Tasue watched this horror befall them and they were all clearly taken aback, enough to be frozen with pure shock. Four undead were right behind them, ready to attack, ironically, the child, Tasue snapped out of it first and since she was a bit tired from dealing with the guards and the strays, she began shaking Damion, faintly calling out, "aniki," to get his attention. But he was truly frozen, he couldn't believe that Spire could do this to a town just to spite him. The pain of the towners got him deeply, he knew what this ability was, and hence, was almost brought back to his nightmare of the past.
"Anikii!!" Tasue called once more as the undead began placing its hand right above her. She clutched to Damion's arm and closed her eyes. Right after, both the undead and the three of them were thrust forward, along with a gust of wind, forcing all of them to plummet to the ground. It was definitely not Tasue's power… each of them unfroze with a clear reaction.
"Who did that?!?!" Ritta demanded as she tried to get up. Damion followed as he helped Tasue up. A voice shouted in the distance, as they took a glance behind them, they found the cause sprinting in the street, the ebony haired girl with a shadow katana on her left hand was headed toward them and soon enough, they could finally hear what she was saying with her hands in the air…
"Shoot!! Shoot an arrow!! Shoot it at me!!" Alloy shouted.
