Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Wu Are Fired Up!

He really didn't mean to cause trouble. After all, Li Chang'an wasn't the type to go looking for drama—he just called things like he saw them. Who would've thought his casual comment would blow up like this… and expose so many of that girl's boy toys?

It reminded Li Chang'an of a girl he'd met in his previous life—your classic serial dater. The kind who juggled a roster of guys at once. His friend, his friend's friend… they were all wrapped around her finger. The funniest part? Each guy thought he was the only one. None of them realized they were just names on the same list.

She even tried to rope in Li Chang'an back then—but by that point, he'd graduated from rookie to veteran. After a few smooth rounds of verbal fencing, he turned the tables and walked away on top.

Lesson learned: steer clear of women who collect boyfriends like Pokémon.

At that moment, Li Chang'an clearly heard the girl across the room soothing her own entourage, settling their nerves. Then—with a sway in her hips and confidence in every step—she made her way toward his table.

She walked up and calmly stood beside Li Chang'an. A faint, pleasant fragrance drifted over—not overwhelming, just enough to make people feel good. That alone told Li Chang'an: this girl had skills. She definitely wasn't a low-tier serial dater.

"Greetings, young master. My name is Lan Yue. May I ask your name?"

Lan Yue's voice was delicate and gentle, the kind that instantly sparked a desire to protect.

"My name is Li Changsheng. What brings you here, Miss Lan Yue?" Li Chang'an replied with a courteous smile—he wasn't going to strike someone showing goodwill.

Lan Yue said softly, "I overheard you and your companions talking and laughing about me. I think your words were a bit unfair."

"Oh?" Li Chang'an replied, "Then I offer my apologies, Miss Lan Yue. I was simply speaking casually."

Though her opening move had come swiftly, Li Chang'an didn't panic at all—leaving Lan Yue's first probing attempt a complete miss.

"That's good to hear," she said, sending him a flirty glance. "May I ask which academy Young Master Li is from? What brings you here today?"

Li Chang'an chuckled. "Which academy I'm from doesn't matter. What matters is—which academy is Miss Lan Yue from, don't you think?"

His words carried an unspoken message: As long as I know where you're from, that's all I need. Whether or not we meet again—it'll be my call, not yours.

"Aiya, young master, your words wound my heart..."

Under the surprised gazes of everyone around, Li Chang'an and Lan Yue had exchanged fewer than thirty cryptic lines before Lan Yue stomped her foot and left, clearly annoyed. The onlookers were puzzled—weren't they talking just fine?

Just then, five male students—everyone except the teacher—got up and walked toward them.

"Is this a fight? I'm in!" Xiao Wu leapt to her feet with excitement and charged ahead without hesitation.

From the moment Lan Yue started flirting, Xiao Wu had been holding back her frustration. Now her temper had boiled over—she needed to vent.

Neither side activated their Martial soul at first. The five young men from the opposing side looked confused when they saw the one who stepped up to block them was a delicate-looking girl. Though she didn't appear very old, Xiao Wu now stood about 1.7 meters tall. She blinked her big, innocent eyes and looked completely harmless—which instantly deflated their aggressive momentum.

Oscar stepped beside Li Chang'an and whispered, "Teacher Li, aren't you going to step in? Don't let Xiao Wu take all the heat."

Oscar had never seen Xiao Wu fight before, so he had no idea how strong she really was. Since their opponents were from an advanced spirit master academy, they were likely all at least Spirit Grandmasters with soul power above level 20—and there were five of them.

But Li Chang'an just smiled faintly and said, "You've been fooled by her looks too. Those guys are in for a rough time."

The five young men paused, but Xiao Wu certainly didn't.

She blinked her big eyes and smiled sweetly. "Hello, big brothers~"

All five guys froze and exchanged awkward glances. Faced with such a cute girl, their imposing air immediately vanished. For a moment, they didn't know what to do.

Then—just as they hesitated—Xiao Wu made her move. Her foot slipped as if by accident and she lunged forward, tumbling toward one of the young men.

Instinctively, he reached out to steady her—only to see a sleek, black braid whip through the air. Before he could react, it wrapped tightly around his neck. Xiao Wu's "fall" came to a sudden halt as she curled up, leapt backward with her back to him, and kicked both feet squarely at his chest.

Getting caught by the neck was enough to throw anyone off. Panicked, he tried to block her kick—but that was just the setup. Her feet weren't attacking—they were pivot points. In a flash, she flipped forward and sent him flying with a flawless throw.

Xiao Wu didn't pause. As her first target went airborne, she landed her feet on another opponent.

The remaining four had barely registered what was happening. The second young man quickly raised his arms to block—but could Xiao Wu's soft techniques be blocked that easily?

Sure, his arms stopped her feet—but to his shock, they had no force behind them at all. They were soft—like noodles! Her legs slid past his guard, locked around his neck, and then—defying momentum—she reversed her flip mid-air and sent him spinning to the ground.

All of this happened in mere seconds. The diners around them had just seen five students from Cang Hui Academy charge forward—only to watch two of them get cleanly thrown aside by a beautiful girl in an instant.

And just then, a shadow flickered—dark and fast. Zhu Zhuqing had joined the fight.

Though she didn't physically toss anyone like Xiao Wu, her attack forced the remaining two students straight to the ground.

That's right—Zhu Zhuqing had made her move too. No warning, no words, just action. She herself wasn't sure why she acted—but after striking, her bad mood suddenly vanished.

The Cang Hui Academy instructor was stunned by the girls' graceful, explosive attacks. Shock turned into fury as he shouted, "Idiots! Use your Martial soul!"

At his command, beams of colorful light burst forth. All five young men revealed identical spirit rings: one white, one yellow—representing a ten-year ring and a hundred-year ring.

All five were combat spirit masters—two with tool spirits, three with beast spirits.

The two tool spirits were a spear and a trident. The three beast spirits were a deer, a goat, and a horse. Frankly speaking, none of them were particularly powerful spirits.
