----------------------------------------------------------

Dusk settled over the horizon. On the cliff, gazing at the distant city of Ur, Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others stood in silence.

"Well, don't be so down. Isn't it good that none of the citizens died?" Merlin, reclining against a rock, smiled lightly, speaking with calm reassurance.

"That's true. Since they're all safe, we can always try to save them later." Shirou Emiya, leaning against the rock wall with his arms crossed, added his measured perspective.

"Or maybe they don't even need our help."

Fujimaru Ritsuka shook her head, recalling how the citizens of Ur had willingly sacrificed their loved ones for safety. Then she turned to Shirou Emiya, her tone serious.

"Senpai Shirou, the Jungle Goddess, Quetzalcoatl, is a pinnacle of good gods. Even you aren't her match. How are we supposed to handle the Three Goddess Alliance?" The thought alone gave her a headache.

Current intelligence suggested that the Holy Grail in Gilgamesh's possession wasn't the one Solomon had placed in the world to form a Singularity. That meant the real Holy Grail was likely in the hands of the Three Goddess Alliance. To correct this Singularity, defeating them wasn't just necessary-it was unavoidable. No matter how she looked at it, they were a serious problem.

"The Three Goddess Alliance, huh? Tsk, I hate conceptual abilities more than anything." Shirou Emiya's eyes showed clear helplessness as he recalled Quetzalcoatl's divine might. The pinnacle of good gods. No one in Uruk could match her. And then there was Tiamat-the Genesis Goddess herself. She couldn't die unless all life on Earth perished. Death had no meaning to her.

How do you fight a god with no concept of death? No wonder the mainline timeline's gods had retreated to the Inner Sea of the World-Star. If gods started clashing freely, the world would be destroyed. To even attempt to kill a Genesis Goddess, you'd have to wipe out all life first. And before you could prepare, Alaya would intervene.

Fortunately, this was just a Singularity.

"I think instead of figuring out how to defeat them, we should consider how to get them on our side!" Shirou Emiya's words made everyone pause. Then they began to think seriously.

"That's right. We could persuade them to surrender." Merlin's eyes brightened as he processed the idea. "They're the pinnacle of good gods. Even if summoned by the final boss, they haven't indiscriminately killed people. That means they probably don't want to destroy the world. We might actually have a chance."

"Can we really do that?" Fujimaru Ritsuka felt a surge of excitement at the thought of a breakthrough.

"Of course," Merlin said firmly. Then he considered their options. "If we can approach this without relying on brute force, we might be able to win them over. Even getting just one goddess on our side could shift the balance."

"Ritsuka, things are looking up."

"Exactly!" Fujimaru Ritsuka clenched her fists, trembling with relief. Ever since arriving in the Age of Gods, she had felt her own weakness. Fighting goddesses had seemed impossible. Even gaining the trust of her faction had taken a month of careful work. She finally had Gilgamesh's trust and a mission to investigate-but the Three Goddess Alliance still felt untouchable. Now, at last, a path forward appeared.

"No matter what, let's head back." Shirou Emiya's voice was calm as he looked at the setting sun. "We can't stay in the jungle overnight. We'll travel through the night."

"Right. Leaving Ur doesn't mean we've left the jungle behind. We can't relax yet."

"Understood!" And so, the group of five traveled through the jungle all night, moving toward Uruk.

Soon, they arrived at Uruk. Back at the Chaldea embassy, Shirou Emiya prepared a proper meal while Fujimaru Ritsuka and the others reported to Gilgamesh. Once finished, they all enjoyed dinner together.

"How was it? What did Gilgamesh say?"

"He seems interested in this plan to win over the goddesses. He already has a target in mind." Fujimaru Ritsuka recounted what she had seen and inferred. After all the guidance and help from Shirou Emiya, her respect for him had grown. She even began addressing him as "Senpai Emiya," following Mash's example.

"So Gilgamesh's target is that woman, right?"

"Exactly. That's who I think too," Merlin added with a small smile.

"Who?" Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash exchanged confused glances, looking between Shirou Emiya, Merlin, and Ana.

"It should be Ishtar." Ana said calmly.

"Ishtar? Why her?" Fujimaru Ritsuka asked again, noticing Shirou Emiya and Merlin nodding.

"Because she's the easiest to win over," Shirou Emiya explained, smiling at the memory. "Unlike other goddesses, Ishtar descended by possessing a miko. She isn't truly Ishtar in the strict sense-she retains more human traits. Plus, she's Uruk's city goddess. That makes her the most persuadable among them."

"Gilgamesh hasn't moved against her yet because he's likely looking for a flaw in her human side. Once he finds it, the plan to sway her will start."

Recalling Ishtar's love for money, inherited from someone like Rin Tohsaka, Shirou Emiya couldn't help but smirk. Bribing a goddess with money-that was amusing, if nothing else.
