In the lavish room of Evan's mansion, the light filtering through the wide glass windows painted everything gold. Evan stood in front of his mirror, adjusting the high collar of his black-and-crimson formal jacket. His hair was perfectly styled, a few strands framing his sharp, aristocratic features.
He smirked at his reflection... today was supposed to be a day of indulgence. The academy's graduation party was always full of gossip, drinks, and easy prey. He was popular... Even more popular than the king but the party will be a bother for him. He would have just gone home and not attended it.
However, rumours about him being at the academy ground had spread. That's why most aristocrats, both the ones invited and the uninvited ones have gathered for today's party.
Evan would have to say hello to them. Though, it's not compulsory.
'Or do I make an excuse? Something like... My rut had begun unexpectedly. Tsk!'
A soft knock sounded on his door, interrupting his thoughts.
