Chapter 208 - Chapter 208: Too “Wise”

Yun Ming still wanted to confirm once more.

"There is," Zhen Hua nodded, raising his left hand. A wisp of black flame floated forward.

"This was extracted from my two bodyguards—it's dark flame. And to have Super Douluo-level cultivation, there's no one else it could be but her."

Yun Ming fell silent for a long time. That she had become like this, he couldn't deny having some part in it. But the main reason likely lay in her own nature—once she fell for someone, she never let go.

"She still has her humanity. She isn't a completely evil soul master," Zhen Hua said solemnly.

Yun Ming smiled faintly. "Then she still has a chance…"

Over at the third-grade Class One side, their homeroom teacher was a middle-aged woman named Song Lin, a Two-Word Battle Armor Master and a senior teacher of the outer court. She had brought up Class One personally.

"For the first match—Wu Rui, you go." Song Lin called out to a male student in front of her.

"Do your best." She smiled lightly.

Wu Rui, Martial Soul: Heavenly Book, Soul Power Rank 50. He was the strongest control-type battle soul master in third-grade Class One's team, though not the strongest in one-on-one combat.

Song Lin hadn't planned to completely crush the joint team of first- and second-grade students. It wouldn't do to suppress them too hard. So, for the first match, she chose Wu Rui—fifth strongest in solo combat within the class. Even so, in her view, the junior students stood little chance of victory.

Elder Cai stepped onto the stage with a step into the air. A silver flash later, she had already landed on the battle platform.

"First one-on-one match, contestants take the stage."

Two figures leapt up from opposite sides of the platform, drawing cheers from students of all grades in the stands.

Wu Rui landed lightly, appearing cultured and at ease. One hand before him, the other behind his back, hair neatly combed, he gave a confident smile and waved to the crowd. He had always liked to show off—if not for the academy forbidding romantic relationships in the outer court, he probably wouldn't have remained single.

Yuanen Yehui landed steadily on the stage. She was still dressed as a boy, nothing about her appearance particularly eye-catching.

"Third-grade Class One, Wu Rui!" Wu Rui faced Yuanen with a bright smile, flashing white teeth. His gaze showed no contempt or provocation—just his best effort to look charming.

Yuanen Yehui didn't respond.

Wu Rui chuckled, "Second-grade Class One class rep, right? I've heard of you. Twin Martial Souls, pretty impressive. Good luck."

She remained silent.

Wu Rui continued, "If you can't hold on, don't push yourself too hard. Don't worry—your senior will go easy on you. We're all schoolmates, after all. With hard work, maybe you'll reach my level someday."

In the stands—

Song Lin immediately regretted sending this chatterbox out first. This guy had the skills, sure, but he just couldn't shut up or stop trying to act cool. Now, in front of the whole school, he obviously couldn't help himself.

"Shut up already! Why are you spouting so much nonsense?" Elder Cai frowned, cutting him off.

"Uh… Elder Cai, I was just showing some friendly camaraderie to my junior."

Elder Cai glared at him. "Begin the match."

"Be careful, little bro…" Wu Rui was still being cheeky, but Yuanen Yehui had already moved.

Her left foot stomped the ground, and she shot forward like a cannonball. Mid-air, her body suddenly enlarged—her third soul skill, Titan Strength!

Seeing her massive form rushing toward him, Wu Rui's eyes widened as he quickly activated his Martial Soul. "Oh my goodness. That's… huge!"

Yuanen Yehui's punch came crashing down. Even before her fist landed, the sheer pressure rushed forward like a storm.

Control types counter power types—Wu Rui had faith in himself. A flash of light, and a thick blue-bound tome appeared before him.

The pages fluttered open, and from the first page burst forth countless thick, dark green vines that surged toward Yuanen Yehui.

With such a massive body, she had no chance of dodging—but she didn't even try. Her punch kept coming as she charged directly into the vines.

"Can you do it or not, junior?" Wu Rui's taunt would cost him dearly.

Buzz! Boom!!

A burst of blinding red light erupted within the vines.

"What the—?" Wu Rui was still stunned.

A scream followed, and with a puff of smoke, Wu Rui was sent flying by a single punch from Yuanen Yehui.

His face caved in on one side—he hadn't been all that handsome to begin with, and now looked even worse.

What just happened?

Seriously?

Song Lin's face flushed red with anger. Not only had he run his mouth, but he got one-shotted in front of the entire school. That wasn't just embarrassing—it was a disgrace to their class! To think the story would spread: a third-grade student KO'd by a lower-grade student in one move!

And what was worse—he hadn't even gone all out! Totally caught off guard. That "Rui" in Wu Rui must've stood for "foolish."

"First match: victory to the First and Second Grade Joint Team."

Once she calmed down, Song Lin narrowed her eyes and turned to Ye Huo. "You're next." No further instructions were needed—these students had been with her for seven years. They knew her temperament well.

Ye Huo's eyes burned with excitement. He slapped Wu Rui, who lay nearby. "Big Mouth Wu, watch how I avenge you."

Wu Rui only gave a weak eye-roll. His face hurt too much to speak.

On the lower-grade team's side, Wu Zhangkong glanced toward Wu Siduo and Ye Xinglan. Wu Siduo stepped forward. "Teacher Wu, I'll take the second match."

Wu Zhangkong nodded. "Just use your full strength. Don't be reckless."

"Yes!" Wu Siduo answered crisply and leapt onto the stage, landing lightly.

Already waiting there, Ye Huo's eyes lit up at the sight of a beautiful girl in front of him. Girls always matured faster than boys, and although Wu Siduo was only fourteen, she didn't look that much younger than Ye Huo.

"Hello, junior. I'm Ye Huo from third-grade Class One," he said with a bright smile. Some of his earlier fighting spirit had already waned.

"First-grade Class One, Wu Siduo." Her reply was far simpler.

When he heard her name, a flicker of surprise passed through Ye Huo's eyes. He had heard that name before…
