June 11, 1997.
There are fewer than two days left until the premiere of the movie "The Purge".
Tonight, Page Pictures will host the world premiere of "The Purge" at the Hollywood Theatre.
Well, the world premiere.
Of course, you could also call it the American Premiere. While the names are different, the essence is the same; it just sounds a bit more impressive.
Overall, the movie premiere hosted by Page Pictures this time was much bigger than the previous premiere of "Juno". Kyle's company paid real money for this movie premiere.
Many fans and media reporters were already waiting on both sides of the red carpet.
There were no fewer than two hundred people.
"Wow, Page Pictures is awesome now. This is a huge scene!" a reporter exclaimed.
As soon as he finished speaking, many reporters in the same industry around him nodded.
"Page Pictures is no longer what it used to be."
"Yeah, they've made a lot of movies. I wouldn't say every one of them is great, but there are ones. Just think of Run Lola Run, Wrong Turn, and Hard Candy."
"Page Pictures is just a recent company and lacks a solid foundation. Otherwise, it would be considered a second-tier Hollywood film company."
"Who said it wasn't?"
"Even now, it is still a leader among Hollywood's third-tier film companies."
"Thanks to the global profits of last year's Juno, its performance is no less than that of second-tier film companies such as Touchstone and Miramax."
"Guys, think about UPN. It and Page Pictures are both owned by the same parent company. How could they be weak now?"
"That's right."
"Film companies, TV networks, music production companies, animation studios, movie-related chain stores—I don't know until I think about it. But when I add it all up, I suddenly realise that Page Pictures' parent company is developing like a burgeoning media conglomerate!"
...
The media reporters on both sides of the red carpet,
After exchanging opinions, everyone suddenly realised that Page Pictures is now very powerful.
They couldn't help but look forward to it.
Compared with the media reporters, the movie fans who came here especially to wait seemed much more innocent.
After some discussion, it became clear that the vast majority of movie fans were not there to watch the movie, but to see Eminem, the popular contestant on America's Got Talent.
"So you all came here for Eminem!"
A young girl under 20 years old exclaimed.
Upon hearing this, the movie fans around them immediately nodded their heads in agreement.
"That's right. I don't know about you, but I've never heard of Page Pictures before."
"Eminem will be performing the theme song from the movie 'The Purge' today and I'm here to support him."
"Me too!"
"sofa!"
"Plus one!"
"top!"
Many people also showed knowing expressions.
The young girl immediately shouted, "No posts with only emojis!"
At this moment, Kyle was not here, otherwise, he would have been heartbroken.
Their words are so hurtful!
Page Pictures is indeed very powerful now, and has released many movies in succession, all of which have made a lot of money. It has a considerable reputation in the industry, but if you ask moviegoers, many of them have never heard of the name Page Pictures.
Why?
"When watching a movie, do I have to remember the name of the movie company?"
"What a joke!"
Yes, this is the true voice of most moviegoers.
Of course, there are exceptions to everything.
For some movie choices, you have to look at the name of the film production company.
For example, when you see Happy Twist Company, you will subconsciously think that the movie is good and can choose to watch it;
When you see a movie produced by Deyunshe, you will think it is a bad movie at first;
When you see the movies released by Marvel Studios, you will think of superheroes;
Therefore, word of mouth is very important!
Strictly speaking, even the six major Hollywood film studios are world-famous not only because they have distribution channels that can distribute movies all over the world and have produced and released hundreds and thousands of classic films, but more importantly, they have worked hard in this industry for decades.
This giant company based on "time" cannot be compared with a new film company that has only produced a few hit films.
At least, the vast majority of audiences will not recognise your company name and will go to the cinema specifically for it.
"That's the situation that Page Films is facing today."
Kyle thought to himself.
Therefore, this time, Kyle, Victor and others chose to face the challenge head-on, heading for the tiger mountain even though they knew there was a tiger there. Without going through a few tough battles, no matter how profitable your film company is, it will always be a second-rate company.
Before the premiere of "The Purge" officially started, friends from Page Pictures and guests all landed on the red carpet.
Hollywood stars: Will Smith, Charlize Theron, including movie actors who have previously collaborated with Page Pictures, such as the Joker, Deadpool, Black Widow, and the Hulk;
"Hi, Will!"
"Hey, Kyle!"
Kyle and Will Smith greeted each other.
The relationship between the two is already good, and with their collaboration on "America's Got Talent", how can Will Smith not show his support today?
Just then, Charlize Theron walked up to Kyle.
"Kyle, you said we were friends, but apart from the first Run Lola Run movie, you never invited me to play a role again."
Charlize Theron looked indignant, but her beauty could not be concealed.
Kyle quickly replied, "Okay, I understand. Don't worry, we will have a lot of cooperation in the future. Don't you still trust me?"
"Then you have a deal."
After getting Kyle's assurance, Charlize Theron happily entered the cinema.
Kyle couldn't help but shake his head, thinking: "It's true that there is no woman in Hollywood who is easy to deal with."
Future Internet giants: Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, and ICQ's Weisger;
"Kyle, I heard that Bezos of Amazon wants to buy your shares in ICQ. Are you planning to do so as well?" Jobs asked Kyle as he walked across the red carpet.
"That's right."
Kyle nodded. "But what you said is not accurate. To be more precise, it's an equity swap, an equity swap between ICQ and Amazon."
As soon as these words came out, they interrupted what Jobs was going to say next.
The implication is that if you want my equity, fine! Just exchange it for your Pixar shares, otherwise, forget it.
"Snort!"
Jobs snorted coldly and walked straight into the cinema.
"Kyle, you know." Lasseter waved his hand helplessly.
