Chapter 10 - Return back to home

As soon as she passed the corridor of her house, her mother had noticed her return from the outside with a collar and its front lens blinking red and green as intended, which served as a penance for her juvenile trespass into a secret facility her father Victor Sumeris worked at.

Cassandra, her mother, carrying her youngest child, Max, looked at Ava with a cold frown and reminded, "Who's outside, sweetie? I hope you understand your punishment well." Cassandra looks at Ava with cold eyes but with hinting maternally.

Cassandra continued cradling her toddler son named Max while still looking at Ava, where she subsequently lifted her hand with a thumbs up, pointing at the table whose voice is mixed with calm excitement and love, "Ava, the food is ready, go eat your dinner."

Ava then tilted her head with frustration and made excuses like, "Maaaa, but I already ate…."

Cassandra's eyes then widened and scrutinized, "Are you trying to lie to me? What did you eat?"

Ava's deep-green eyelids are dotted left to the right facing the floor before she attempts to deny, "Yes, I did eat. I ate some really delicious food for lunch."

Cassandra teases and grabs her cheeks and says, "I know you are lying to me dear, or are you?" Cassandra crossed her arms together, and she leaned to look at her daughter. Her eyes filled with mischief alongside her smile and teased her, "You probably were eating something very delicious and enjoying it with the money I gave you, and now you are getting fatter, yes?"

Ava nodded and disclosed, "Yes, I did. I ate a lot of food, delicacies. No rice, just sweets." with guilt painted in her eyes.

Cassandra asked with maternal curiosity, "Is that the money I gave you, yes? To distract yourself" Cassandra pats her back in a charming way, she smiles and follows with, "Mmmm, mmmm, you really did enjoy yourself with the money I gave you and the money you saved for yourself. Now, do you understand if I gave you an abundant amount of mone,y you would stay out of trouble, yes?"

Ava's voice was enthused and answered, "Yes"

She nodded sheepishly.

Cassandra sat on her floor and pleaded with her, "Can you promise me to be a good girl, to be the normal and content girl you always were." Cassandra puts up her finger, extending it towards her direction, then gestures with it to a pinky promise

Ava responds with fleeting conviction, "I don't know, but I will make sure to stay out of trouble."

Ava asked with curiosity, "Is that okay with you?" with hesitation.

Cassandra near her head towards smiling, where she tried to be coy with her words

"Sweetie, it would make me sad as a mother if you were to get into trouble. You know how much I care about you as a person, right? I don't want you getting into trouble, for if you get into trouble, I get into trouble; alas, you are in severe juvenile detention."

"How much has your father pleaded with his executives for you not to be in your jail cell? We do this because we love you, and I want to see more of you grow into a decent person. We cannot risk you in jeopardy or on the bad side of the federal hands."

Cassandra's eyebrow lowered as she focused while trying to maintain a sweet eye and asked again with pushed authority but with promise, "So I will say this again. Could you stay out of trouble for me? I will make sure to have extra cash for two months."

Ava agreed with her plea and answered, "Deal. I will make sure to be a good girl as you wish, I appreciate the extra cash though."

Cassandra caressed her head and complimented, "Good girl, why don't you go upstairs while I take care of your brother, Max?" Cassandra then left while Ava went upstairs with her socks.

She is curious if her appearance fits the archetype of a pretty girl, after all her mother is pretty so why couldn't she be, the genetic nature of these humans had been perfected in a circumscribed way, during their time with the Extradimensional rulers, their rulers have made them immaculate and healthy with the withstanding testifying knowledge of genetics and scientific knowledge that borders in spacetime and cosmology or even quantum mechanics that is like magic to less advanced ones

The human standards of beauty have devolved to a materialistic dissatisfaction; their understanding of perfection and the spoil of technological, scientific discovery, and innovation, without their supreme moral pillar, has induced them to set new standards of beauty bordering on futurism for their greed and corporate purposes

Image of beauty, prioritizing the appeal of cybernetics and products that keep them healthy and fit - the wealthy are filled with luxurious glamorous clothing and accessories like Top hats or with implants, business suit or even high-end fashion, but that is only reserved for the aristocratic or luxurious centers, the more technology they have, they more their perceived value increases.

Most humans are too distracted with suppers and commodities with them keeping them healthy and content, and yes even makeup is an available crutch for the girls, but that's only in the capital or cities with bristling social status activities – Sector 451 is still the minimalistic area inEearth that Ava resides, think of it as half province and half city.

As Ava is driven by curiosity about her appearance, as an overview of her glass self, she continues to make her steps step by step, each with vigorous but dampening silence as she ascends the stairs.

As she reached the 2nd floor, she made her way to her room, grabbed the doorknob, and rotated where she opened and entering her room with gadgets and her computer alongside her 3D printer. All the gadgets are still lying, but they don't obstruct her or interfere with her decisions.
