Chapter 111 - You Must Be a Good Person

The Demon Hunter leader wasn't the only one pursuing him. Kevin froze for a moment before he felt a chill rising from his back. Then, the air around him twisted, and a thin figure suddenly appeared less than half a meter away from him, swinging a silver-white blade towards him!

Such a close distance, such a brutal and decisive attack, coupled with the suddenness of the teleportation and his shields nearly depleted, the situation could not have been more dire. Kevin's mind went blank, but the expected pain didn't come: Y'zaks had already dodged beside him. The slight man in the long black trench coat had just raised his blade when the great demon grabbed his neck and flung him away.

Everything happened in a flash, so fast that even Vivian didn't see clearly. "Are you the demon hunters from this world?" Y'zaks clapped his hands after throwing the skinny man who had attacked him. He showed no intention of chasing after him and engaging in a fight. He simply glanced at the two demon hunters calmly.

His move was delicate, as if he had merely resolved a minor problem. However, Kevin felt a cold sweat breaking out on the back of his neck. The two werewolves were also perplexed. They stared at Y'zaks's massive figure, which seemed to have nothing to do with "agility," and could not fathom how this two-meter-tall man could move so swiftly. Kasa Eben, while confident in his own speed, was capable of such swift movements, but his was more of a typhoon, nothing compared to Y'zaks's ability to dodge ten meters without alarming anything.

The two demon hunters had not expected Y'zaks, this imposing figure from nowhere, to be so troublesome. They cautiously stepped back, remaining unmoved by Y'zaks's inquiries. Seeing only these two men had appeared, Kevin immediately thought, "They have another group! They're waiting for reinforcements!"

"Oh, they don't have any," Y'zaks waved his hand. "Big Blue took care of them."

Just as Kevin was about to ask what "Big Blue" meant, Y'zaks had already moved on. Under the bewildered, suspicious, and cautious gazes of the two witchers, he approached their leader. "You're their leader, right? I can tell you're a ringleader."

Lily was instantly elated at this. The idiot had finally realized it was time for revenge. She started jumping up and down behind him, "Big Guy! Avenge us! Hit them, hit them hard! Let them know you... know how powerful we are!"

Kevin joined in the cheering, keeping his composure, but his thoughts largely mirrored Lily's. He was already furious with these witchers. Now that his ace fighter had finally arrived, who wouldn't want to see their enemies crushed to the ground? But he and Lily waited for a long time, but Y'zaks simply waved behind him and nodded very kindly to the two demon hunters. "Let me make a deal with you. Can you just admit your mistake and leave us alone? I know those two girls and that little brother. They're all good people. You shouldn't harm innocent people."

Good people: "..." Lily: "..." Vivian: "..."

A deathly silence fell. After a few seconds, Kasa Eben hesitated and spoke: "Is this the most powerful person in your team?"

Kevin couldn't come up with a good reason, so he nodded. "In terms of combat power alone, he's definitely impressive. He can easily defeat anything."

"Is this tough guy trying to be funny?" Eun Eben calmly stepped back. Instinct told him not to trust anyone associated with these unusual individuals. This eccentric team, led by a strange human, had no normal person in it from top to bottom!

Although the two werewolves thought Yzaks was joking, the great demon himself was completely serious. He eagerly awaited the two demon hunters' response, but how could they possibly cooperate? After a brief moment of surprise, the demon hunter leader instantly flashed to a distance of more than ten meters. He aimed at Yzaks' chest, and with two crossbow bolts, bang ... What a formidable warrior! He had actually ignored those demon-destroying arrows, which exploded like small rifle grenades, with his flesh and blood. Furthermore, Y'zaks's body seemed to possess a strange energy. The moment the demon-destroying arrows made contact with his skin, their enchantment was removed, transforming into ordinary silver-gray metal rods that fell to the ground. Even the silver throwing knives were shattered into pieces by the impact. Even if this guy were human, his steel-clad frame would be no match for Kevin's rigid shield!

Y'zaks still showed no sign of anger. He probably didn't even consider those small metal rods an attack. The Great Demon looked at the two demon hunters, who had already dodged over ten meters away: "We can still negotiate now. You better be good people..."

The two demon hunters stared at the monstrous man in horror, and without waiting for the teleportation to cool, they turned and ran!

Of course, Y'zaks didn't give them a chance to escape. He waved his hand. Chains formed from foul green runes appeared beneath the two demon hunters' feet, pulling them back to Yzaks.

"Don't run," the great demon crouched down and said gently, "You can't hurt innocent people. So apologize to my friend and promise to be a good person from now on."

"Are you crazy?" The demon hunter leader remained surprisingly calm. He realized his teleportation had been blocked by the green rune chains bound around his feet. He immediately pulled out several rune-encrusted slips and threw them at Yzaks. "Destroy the evil and restore justice!"

The rune-encrusted slips struck Yzaks' face and chest, causing a burst of bright flames to erupt, but these were quickly suppressed by a layer of green demonic energy. Y'zaks's face was scorched black by the smoke, but he didn't take it seriously. He simply grinned, "Are you guys going to be good people or not?"

The witcher leader responded by struggling mightily, refusing to give up any chance of escape. He realized the freak before him was likely an unheard-of monster of unimaginable power. However, as a witcher, his conviction to never compromise with a monster was ingrained in him like a life instinct, so much so that he didn't even consider cooperating. Y'zaks frowned at the struggling pair, then with a few snaps of his fingers dislocated their limbs. He continued patiently lecturing them, "I can't let you go. You might report back, and then my friends and I won't be able to live in peace. You have to promise me to be good people and sign a contract with me, and I'll let you go."

The excruciating pain in their limbs made the two witchers cry out in pain, shouting in unison, "He's a lunatic!"

"I'm not crazy," Y'zaks objected earnestly, explaining his motives. "I just think we only have one life, so we should do something meaningful. Educating you well is an achievement. I hope all races can coexist peacefully, and that witchers and aliens can have room for negotiation. We all live in this small world, while the world outside is vast. It would be a waste to fight and die on such a small planet. It would be a waste of the vast universe that God created for us..." The two witchers stared at this ferocious, artistic lunatic as if he were a psychopath. The shorter man blurted out, "You're letting..."

Yzaks knocked the other man unconscious with a punch and continued to gently counsel the witcher leader, "Be quiet. Listen carefully. This world is so beautiful... If you stir again, I'll crush your cervical vertebrae. Why is it so hard to get someone to listen to me quietly?"

The few people watching from behind were completely stunned.

Kevin finally understood how Yzaks, who always adhered to the "nice guy" logic, used his demonic mindset to interpret this "good guy" theory. Yes, this was the good guy logic of a demon:

You must be a good person, or else you will be dead.
