A loud shout echoed from nearby, and Kevin knew immediately that trouble had broken out again.
He wasn't entirely surprised, though; people, after all, grow accustomed to many things.
Kevin looked in the direction of the sound and saw a tall, muscular man standing at the corner at the end of the warehouse. It was Kasa Aiben, whom he had met before. However, unlike last time, this time he appeared in a furious, ferocious state.
One look at his state told him that a fierce battle was bound to break out, and at this point, he wouldn't listen. Vivian maintained a state of combat readiness from the outset, unwavering. Though slightly surprised that her blood mist clone failed to entangle the enemy, she reacted instantly the moment Kasa'aiben appeared. Her massive bat wings suddenly spread, filling the air with a chilling, bloody scent. Vivian abruptly rose taller, flapping her mighty wings and launching an attack. Kevin's vision flashed before countless blood-red phantoms swirled from either side of his vision, swooping down upon the enemy dozens of meters away. The damage they inflicted was shocking: the concrete floor and the iron-clad warehouse walls sizzled with smoke, rapidly corroding into slag. Layers of solid ice spread rapidly in their wake. The power unleashed by Vivian was like a devastating storm, sweeping everything within range.
While the high-level vampire's attacks were formidable, Kasa'aiben was no weakling. The moment he realized Vivian's strength was beyond his expectations, he decisively transformed and then withstood the blood-red blow head-on. Everything happened in a flash. The scene outside the warehouse was instantly turned upside down. A bloody, cold wind howled, spreading from Vivian in all directions. Everything was severely corroded and covered with a layer of frost. However, Kasa Aiben seemed to be largely unaffected by the cold wind. A layer of shadow, vague and uncertain, surrounded him, completely isolating the cold. His appearance began to gradually change: his hair grew rapidly, and his body became more muscular than before. His strong muscles bulged at a visible speed, soon bulging his clothes. His hands became bony, with enlarged joints and thick, and his fingertips turned into formidable claws. Thick black hair quickly grew from his chin to his cheeks, and a pair of wolf ears also appeared on his head: this was a true werewolf transformation, and Kevin had never seen it before. "It's much ugly…"
"Nonsense, male werewolf is just like this," Vivian's eyes flashed red, and groups of phantom-like bats were forming behind her. "It's indeed the mad dogs of the Aben family. I haven't seen these black fogs for a long time."
A weird smile appeared on Kasa Aiben's distorted face: "You blood-sucking bugs are not isolated from the world. I thought there were not many vampires now knowing the 'Eben family'!"
"Nonsense! When I fought with the first Black Mist werewolf, he couldn't even write the word "Eben!" Vivian used words to distract the other party, and at the same time the attack in his hand did not fall at all. A large group of bats rushed towards the werewolf in the distance like a whirlwind. Wherever the bats went, it was like being fired by a metal storm, and even the steel and cement instantly turned into ashes. "I beat you over your ancestors!"
Kevin was sweating on his forehead at that time: age is indeed the best weapon for women, although Vivian's weapon is used strangely... Vivian's words left Kasaaben momentarily stunned, perhaps instantly reminiscent of some family rumor. Even so, he remained undistracted. With a furious roar, the werewolf ripped at Vivian's bat swarm with a single claw. A sharp, tearing sound echoed as the dark cloud of bats was split in two by a force of wind that felt like a physical force. Kasaab's ferocious, beast-like form leaped from the ripped bat swarm, lunging at Vivian in mid-air. "What do you mean?!"
Vivian didn't dodge, merely offering a sarcastic smile. Just as Kasaab's claws were about to reach her hair, she transformed into countless bats and scattered. "Little trick!" the werewolf roared, and a thick black mist suddenly enveloped him. As if it had life, the mist spread towards Vivian's swarm of bats, its spread almost as fast as the bats' flight. Almost 100 percent of the bats were instantly enveloped by the mist. They dashed left and right, finally breaking free before the mist completely gathered. Vivian regrouped a hundred meters away and looked at Casa Aiben with a hint of surprise. She hadn't expected this "junior" in her eyes to be so formidable. Werewolves aren't particularly adept at magic, but they do possess some innate abilities to compensate, such as curses, stealth, and shadow powers. The Eben family is a renowned werewolf clan, and their innate ability is this mysterious black mist. While this mist isn't particularly effective offensively, it possesses a powerful spatial property, making it quite useful for moving objects or blocking off areas. While Vivian boasts of having beaten up an Eben family ancestor, she honestly doesn't want to get tangled up with this troublesome black mist. After all, it's the werewolves' brute strength she favors. While a wizard might be able to bully a warrior, fighting a magic swordsman is a real headache. "You actually forced your way out..." Kasa'aiben was shrouded in black mist, and his ferocious appearance made him look like a demon. "You're no ordinary vampire. Tell me your name and let's fight you fair and square."
"What era is this? Who wants to play tricks with you!" Vivian gathered a blood-red spear in her hand and hurled it at Kasa'aiben. "Die!"
The moment the blood-red spear appeared, Kasa'aiben's expression suddenly changed. He had previously withstood all of Vivian's attacks, but this time, he hastily transformed his entire body into a cloud of smoke and fled in all directions. As if it had life, the blood-red spear swerved in mid-air as the enemy fled, piercing the nearest cloud with a swish.
The stench of burnt fur wafted from the smoke, and then both the spear and the smoke vanished. The remaining clouds of smoke quickly gathered in another area, and Kasa Aiben reappeared, but this time he looked far more disheveled than before. Large patches of facial hair were singed, and his coat was tattered. A trickle of blood trickled from his forehead, a perverse red glow. "You're Countess Vivian Ancesta, the one who summoned the Red Moon..." Kasaiben wiped the blood from his face. His already beastly form swelled even further, as if unleashing his werewolf potential to face the formidable foe. "You're still alive?!"
Vivian folded her arms and descended gracefully from the air. "Ah, so I used to have that nickname?"
Kevin had just seen the two engaged in a lively brawl. Vivian had the upper hand and didn't seem to need his help, so he simply found a quiet spot nearby to watch the show, preparing to either launch a sneak attack or, when Kasaiben wasn't paying attention, sneak into the warehouse to retrieve Lily. However, the exchange between the two combatants piqued his curiosity, and Vivian's response nearly sent him plummeting to the ground. "Vampire sister, could you not drop down so gracefully before saying something like that?" Kasa'aiben's expression was also a bit strange, but he was much more composed than Kevin's. He remained vigilant as he slowly distanced himself from Vivian. "It seems you really... can't remember your own name, wandering the world. Even the vampires themselves don't know which branch you belong to, so they just randomly gave you the title of Count... just like the family records."
Vivian looked intrigued. "Then let's not fight for a moment. Tell me how your family records me. I really can't remember what happened back then."
Is this the time to chat? Of course not. Regardless of Vivian's thoughts, Kasa'aiben certainly wouldn't waste time talking to an enemy, especially one facing the notoriously eccentric and difficult Countess. Remembering the warnings in the family records, he ducked his head, enveloped in black mist, and charged forward!
Vivian flapped her massive wings and returned to mid-air. "Tsk... I'll ask you after I've knocked you down. I'm in top form today!"
