"This is alarming, I didn't think they'd take the initiative…"
After arriving at the other shrine handled by another member of the Himejima clan, Shuri and the Himejima member wasted no time and called their patriarch who is Shuri's uncle, Soue Himejima.
Once he arrived along with some of the members of the Himejima clan, Shuri quickly relayed what happened, with of course, hiding the fact that she's married to a Fallen Angel and bore a child with him.
One of the aggressive members gritted his teeth and tried to rally the clan, "Soue-sama! We must strike back! Those vile creatures dare to harm one of us! We tolerated them long enough, it's time to take what is ours!"
"That's right! They don't deserve Japan! It belongs to its true owners, the Shinto Gods! Us!"
Hearing the cheers and follow-ups, Shuri couldn't help but roll her eyes.
Yeah, right. Tell that to the devils and angels that occupy some Japanese territories. As much as she wants to say it out loud, Shuri does not dare.
She just hopes that Akeno can be found by Baraqiel. Not once has she worried that something bad might happen to him, she's that confident in his strength.
"Shuri, what do you think?" Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by her uncle's question.
She curiously looked up, she had been too distracted to listen to their arguments and false confidence against the Yokais when in truth, they're afraid of them.
If it wasn't for the Shinto Gods that support them from behind, the Five Principal Clans would've long been swallowed by the Yokais or any other forces.
"I…I think we should do some investigation first. We can't casually start a war just because one of them instigated, we don't even know if he belongs to the Kyoto Yokai Faction."
"Sounds cowardly, Shuri-sama." One of Soue's close aides shook his head in disappointment.
Everyone knows that Shuri is Soue's heir, the next head of the clan.
But everyone also knows how soft-hearted and gentle she is which causes some dissatisfaction among the members.
"…" Shuri looked at her uncle and saw no reaction from him. She felt disappointed, not to herself but to her uncle.
She was expecting him to support her, but instead, he stayed silent, which she instantly understood as him agreeing to his aide's comment.
"He's right! We have no time for investigations! We might as well do it while besieging them!"
"The attacker is someone from the Inu clan! One of the main clans of their faction! What evidence do we still need to prove to them?"
"Right! Right!"
Shuri looked at them with disgust, which she perfectly hid well as no one aside from her noticed.
Soue, who seemed to be pressured by the agitated members and their determination, was left with no choice but to sigh and relent.
"We'll start by midnight. We harass their nearby bases and sabotage their businesses. Let them take the initiative to attack us first before going all out with them. At least this way, we have something to explain to the Gods."
"Yes!" They all yelled in unison, smiles on their faces as a sense of euphoria filled their bones.
Looking at this, Shuri felt like something was wrong for some reason.
Doesn't matter, they do what they want to do. As long as Akeno is safe and Baraqiel is with us, muttered Shuri before walking out of the Shrine grounds.
Unbeknownst to her, Soue, her uncle was keeping a close watch over her back as she left.
———
Shuri had to make sure that no one was following her before tracing her steps back to where she left Akeno.
However, when she arrived there, fear gripped her heart as she didn't see the little girl who was supposed to be standing behind the tree.
"A-Akeno? Akeno!"
Shuri frantically looked around and was about to dash off when a voice interrupted her.
"Shuri, lower your voice! We're over here…" It was Baraqiel, his wings unfurled as he slowly descended on the ground, and in his arms cradled the sleeping Akeno.
Shuri's sigh was louder than all the sighs she had in her entire life, her shoulders relaxed as if a huge burden was lifted off from her shoulders.
"Honey, thank the heavens you're both safe!"
Baraqiel chuckled, "Thank me instead, not the place I used to live."
"Pfft! Right…"
Once their laughs died down, Baraqiel's face turned serious, "Honey, I have something to tell you…"
———
"It's finished. Now they know who attacked their princess and if we're right about how their mind works, they would throw investigations out of the window and proceed with attacking the faction directly." Once Kenshin got back to Yasaka's room, he reported what he did to her.
Yasaka smiled and nodded her head, her mind was already expecting that Kenshin would ask her for a reward, and a good queen like she is, would give him a massive reward.
However, that didn't happen and Kenshin didn't ask for the forbidden fruit, instead, he offered, "Before I got back, I had a good idea that you might like, want to hear it?"
Yasaka felt disappointed which she quickly recovered from and nodded her head to him, "What plan?"
Rubbing his palms together like an evil villain making his plan, Kenshin explained, "So, it's like this…."
By the time he was done, Yasaka was seriously contemplating the plan of making Kenshin disguise himself as a great villain that was manipulating everythjng from behind the scenes, and then taken down by none other than Yasaka.
Making her both a hero not only to her own people but also to the Five Principal Clans. Thus ending the thousand-year-long feud between the two factions.
However, one thing was making her worried, "But are you okay with it though? Wouldn't it take much of your time and even put you in danger? What if the Shinto Gods make a move themselves once things go out of hand?"
To Yasaka, no amount of a good plan is worthy of putting Kenshin's life at risk. At this point in her life, Kenshin has already made himself the center of Yasaka's life.
She's willing to do anything for him, even risk her position as the Yokai Queen if ever he asked for it. Which Kenshin wouldn't.
If this plan were to put Kenshin in danger or even a possible death, then scrap the plan. The original plan of framing the Loyalist clans is enough to cement her image as a good queen.
No need to go too far.
Unfortunately, Kenshin shook his head and confidently replied, "Don't worry, this event won't take that long. All it takes is to make me the sole enemy of both Yokais and the Five Principal Clans, make both sides forget about their grievances, and instead, focus on me, the villain."
Kenshin, of course, got this inspiration from watching Naruto. Making himself the enemy of the two factions, giving them a reason to join hands to fight against him.
As for the Shinto Gods, Kenshin's not afraid of them anymore. His fight with Baraqiel isn't one without any fruits.
Due to pushing his body past the limits, his entire stats have taken a huge jump.
[Name: Alistair Abara, Kuroki Kenshin
Age: 15, (12,260)
Class: Hero
Title: Evil Slayer
Strength: 349
Magic: 788
Agility: 456
Durability: 410
Constitution: 389
Mind: 300 ]
He's no longer weak and can already be considered a powerhouse. If he were to fight Baraqiel earlier with the intention to kill, he could've done so in just a minute.
Thankfully, he was rational enough to know that with Baraqiel's strength, he must be important to the Grigori, a faction that consists of Fallen Angels.
As for how he knew about the Grigori? Well, Yasaka's library is truly a treasure-filled one, almost the entire history of the Supernatural world was recorded there.
Be it the largest war of all time where Angels, Devils, and Fallen Angels fought with all sides suffering great losses to a small but iconic Vampire/Werewolf war that lasted for nearly a century.
At the end of it all, Kenshin knew he wouldn't be caught easily, much less be killed. His increase in stats gave him more access to his original strength and skills back in the world of Fantazio.
Such skills include:
[Fairy Body
- Reaching a certain threshold in the Constitution grants the near-immortal body that was forged by Alistair Abara using the combined flesh of a deceased God, a Dragon King, and the legendary Queen of Fairies.
The deceased God's flesh granted Alistair Abara an instantaneous regeneration that could bring his entire body from a single cell of blood, while Dragon King's flesh gave him a body durable enough to withstand the strongest of both physical and magical attacks and finally, the flesh of the King of Fairies made his body fully attached to the soul. If the body dies conceptually, the soul permanently stays with the body and would not go through the river of death, wherever the soul is brought to, the body will follow and vice versa.]
It is thanks to this that Kenshin has lived for thousands of years without any repercussions. Although he could guess it was this skill's passive abilities that gave him his original body back when he was transferred to this world.
As for how he obtained the aforementioned fleshes especially the King of Fairies? It's better if he's the only one who knows about it. It's for the safety of the readers.
He also remembered how he used to abuse this skill. Keeping a drop of blood in vials and then secretly hiding them all over the world. So that when his body dies, he would just regenerate from where he last left his drop of blood.
One time he did this on 25 vials which he planted on all his secret hideouts and then died shortly after. He was able to choose which of his blood drop locations he wanted to regenerate at, thus achieving a Phoenix-like resurrection but he gets to choose which respawn point he spawns back at.
Speaking of blood drop locations, for some reason, he can feel the familiar blood drop locations for god knows where.
I just got the skill and I don't remember using it yet… Kenshin muttered to himself before shaking it off.
He took a note to fill a few vials with a drop of his blood so he can use it for emergency purposes.
The next skill is also a useful one, unlocked when he reached the 300 threshold in mind stats, and 500 in Magic stats which he has long already reached.
[Soul magic Mastery
- The most complex of all magic in the world of Fantazio. Gives the user to manipulate, alter, and strengthen souls.]
With this skill, Kenshin could finally strengthen his soul, apply a Soul Bubble that protects his soul, and even manipulate and attack the souls of other people.
One of the hardest magics that he learned. It took him experimenting on thousands of souls from all races in the world of Fantazio.
Of course, he's not crazy enough to experiment on the innocent ones. Only the worst of the worst of all deserves to have their souls experimented on.
Kenshin unlocked more useful skills but the most useful of them all and also his favourite was the
[Dimension Creation
- Allows the caster to create pockets of dimension with a size depending on how much mana is used to flow. Inside the said dimension gives the caster near godlike abilities such as creation of inanimate objects, manipulation of anything inside, and the capability to grant laws that anyone in the dimension would be forced to follow]
When reading the description, one might think that Kenshin could create an infinitely large dimension with his Nuclear Energy Fusion Reactor skill but it's actually far from it.
For example, he has a mana capacity of 100/100 while still possessing the Nuclear Energy Fusion Reactor skill. Once a Dimension is created, his mana capacity would go from 100/100 to 80/100 and it would permanently stay there.
How? You might ask. That's because he spent 20 points of mana and the dimension would keep draining him of the same amount forever for as long as the Dimension stays up.
Not only that, the amount would increase if the size of the dimension increased too, or if he made a law inside. Not to mention, the more people live inside and when they use their mana and regenerate, it would take mana from the surroundings, and who provides mana to these surroundings?
None other than him!
Then there's also the frustrating side-effect of not being able to bring anything out that was created by him from the inside to the outside.
In the end, the Dimension Creation still has its limits and probably is not fit to use for now.
