Chapter 289 - Chapter 382 DMC

Eero opened his eyes speechlessly, the silence of the collapsed inner world still echoing in his soul, and glanced at the dust scattering on the bed and ground; the sword on his lap turned into dust particles somehow, disintegrating before his eyes.

'It seems my soul loathes the zanpaktu created by other people.' The realization was both simple and deeply satisfying.

Eero thought, and then he was startled looking at a gray straight sword materializing in his lap, its appearance abrupt, unburdened by dust or process. It is a long straight sword, hilt with a thin blade, and completely gray without any other color on its surface, a canvas of pure, unadulterated potential.

Eero glanced at it for a while and then muttered, "So you are the weapon worthy of me; I really like your appearance; you look like a sword of infinity."

Instantly, the sword shook in his lap as if acknowledging his words cheerfully like a child, sending a warm, affirmative pulse through their connection. Ero smiled and rubbed it, and then he felt a connection with it; instantly, the first ability of Shikawa was introduced in his mind, a flood of knowledge that felt as natural as breathing.

"Eien no Michi," Eero muttered thoughtfully, and then details about Shikai appeared in his mind.

'So during shikai, I can change this infinity sword into any fictional and nonfictional sword I can think of,' Eero thought to himself, and then his eyes lit up, realizing the sheer scope of this ability.

"Let's see how it changes into the Yamato sword in the Devil May Cry series," Eero muttered thoughtfully.

Instantly, the sword in his lap shook and transformed into a katana shape that looked exactly like the Yamato in the Devil May Cry series.

It's grip has a pattern closer to a real katana; it has golden dragon lines that can be gripped easily by the fingers.

The handguard is now gold and a deep navy blue, shaped like an octagon with two trapezoidal halves, each with gold dot pattern patches, and in a grove-like motif with gold rings.

The scabbard is black, made of traditional lacquered wood, and features several metallic ornaments on its far end.

Eero grabbed the hilt and unsheathed it, pulling the black, polished blade from the scabbard with a soft shing. The dark blade exuded a sharpness that seemed to vibrate with untold power, exuding sharpness that can even slash the space.

'I remember in Devil May Cry, he used it to separate dimensions and space; he would use it to slash and travel through the space, a proper space power-based weapon,' Eero thought to himself after observing the Yamato for a while, feeling the subtle, dangerous spatial distortion around its edge.

Eero sheathed it again; he didn't dare to use it inside the room or it would cleave everything around. He could sense unimaginable powers hidden inside this sword.

Slowly, the sword in his hand returned to its original gray straight sword form, the shift quiet and seamless. 'It seems my sword will always stay in this shikai form. I wonder what will be it's bankai form after evolution,' Eero thought to himself and then walked outside the dormitory room.

After a while,

Sensation spread through the whole academy, even the soul society, because it happened for the first time in history; someone awakened the Shikai just after getting the sealed state. The spike of reiatsu was brief but undeniable, causing a ripple in the spiritual atmosphere.

Even as the news spread through the whole seireitei like a wildfire, all division captains became interested in Ero's profile, except some nobles frowned upon his achievements.

"Another genius appeared among the civilians." Somewhere in the secret chamber of the fifth division, three figures were standing and looking in the direction of a lot of displays.

Gin Ichimaru spoke, looking at the projection of Eero on one of the displays.

While Aizen Sosuke, standing in the middle of both of them, was looking at the gray Zanpakuto in Eero possession, his usual mild smile unwavering.

"Do you want me to test his capabilities?" Tosen Kanami spoke; he is the captain of the ninth division, standing on the other side of the Aizen.

"Don't worry about a young child; it's his shining moment." Aizen shook his head and replied with a confident smile, as if nothing could exceed his expectations.

Meanwhile, inside the academy, instructors glanced at Eero with wide eyes as if watching a monster.

"Very well, Ero, you exceeded everyone's expectations." Instructors then took a deep breath and said, then another instructor asked, looking at him curiously, "Can you tell us in which division you are going to apply?"

Eero glanced at their surprise expression and then replied calmly, "I want to apply to the thirteenth division."

"Very well. We will forward your request to the division thirteen,"The instructor nodded and spoke, then Eero nodded and left the staff room, returning to his class amidst the surprise gazes of students around.

Eero glanced at the instructor explaining the kido in detail: 'In last month, I have already learned all theoretical knowledge about kido; even I can release chantless kido if I want. That's why I decided to graduate; staying in this academy is of no use to me now.'

'As for why I am choosing the thirteenth division, it's because the new recruits there are sent to the real world on duty.' Eero thought to himself, then glanced in the outside direction from the window.
