The black sand soldier didn't know how to answer for a second.
Noticing his subordinate's weird look, the center army general realized he'd gotten too excited and let his inner thoughts slip out.
Without changing his expression, he kept asking:
"Attack? What attack?"
"General, it's not clear right now.
The guards on duty barely heard attack drums from the vanguard."
"Just attack drums?"
The center army general immediately felt like he'd gotten worked up over nothing.
Just then, another black sand soldier came running in like crazy to report:
"Gen... General!
The vanguard camp's suddenly on fire!
I think there's a major enemy attack!"
"Fire?"
The center army general got excited all over again.
If the military tents were burning, that meant the vanguard was in deep trouble, and whatever was attacking them had to be something else.
This also meant that vanguard general jerk would very likely get killed!
