When he entered the portal that led to the other world, his mind was torn in two, filled with conflicting thoughts of what awaited him inside. Yet even in that moment, he couldn't stop thinking about Veyr and what had transpired between them.
When Veyr had refused to smile back at him, Ryn felt an emptiness inside of him and he hated that he was affected by it.
He silently promised himself that once he returned from the test in one piece, he would resolve everything and finally have the long conversation with Veyr that had been weighing on him and hoping that he listened and everything will be fine.
"Listen up, everyone," a loud booming voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
Ryn lifted his head and saw someone standing in front of the group. It was Jani, the student known for having the chance to rise as an elite. Beside him stood a female beta, Ana, who also carried the same potential.
