The training ground for Master Theron's class was filled to the brim with students, not only from their year. After the discussion he had with Kael about the war, Ryn knew the masters were preparing all students. They were, after all, the pride of Tianlong.
As he walked toward the first-year section, he felt a hand wrap around his neck. The familiar touch sent a wave of dread down his spine.
Ryn turned immediately to see who it was, and his eyes widened in shock when they met Thane's golden gaze. "It's you."
Thane glanced around them. "Were you expecting someone else?" he asked.
"No, it's just…" His words were cut short by the arrival of Mira, who stepped between them.
"How are you doing, guys?" Mira asked. "I heard the seniors will be joining us for training today. Does it have to do with the arrival of General Iroh?"
Thane shrugged, while Ryn shook his head. His mind was still unsettled by the dread he felt when Thane touched him. That had never happened before.
