Evening came, and luckily for Ryn, Veyr came to check on him during that time, and he was fortunate to get a free portal ride to the sanctuary.
"Thank you," he muttered as the portal opened to the sanctuary.
Veyr smiled and ruffled his hair. "Just call me anytime you need help, and I will always come rushing to help."
They stared at each other for a moment but said nothing. Then suddenly, Veyr opened his mouth to speak, and at the same time, Ryn said something.
"I…" both of them said at the same time.
Veyr chuckled and pointed toward him. "Go on, Ryn."
Ryn scratched the back of his head, smiling sheepishly at him. "I… I just want to say thank you for this, and I really appreciate you coming here to help me."
"You know I will do anything for you," Veyr assured him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "One of these days, when you are free, maybe we could have one of our dates riding my dragon and…"
