Ryn didn't know how he was supposed to reply or react. How was he going to tell everyone that he got the invitation late when everyone hated him and no one was willing to listen to him?
Instead of answering, he touched the sharp sting radiating from his forehead. He blinked as his eyes locked onto the blood drop on the marble floor between his legs.
"I am talking to you!" Hadrian, Ryn's father, yelled and tried to throw another teacup toward Ryn, but he saw it this time and blocked it with his hand before it could hit him.
Gasps broke out in the hall, but no one said anything.
"He blocked that attack!"
"Is he rebelling?"
"He never does this!"
