He let out a gasp, and just as he was about to speak, he heard footsteps approaching them.
"The flames must have alerted the hall masters. We have to get out of here!" he muttered.
Veyr looked around them, but there was no means of escape. There was nowhere to run without getting noticed.
"They are going to find us either way."
"Summon your portal, you idiot!" Kael shouted at him.
"Oh, alright," Veyr muttered, and in the blink of an eye, the portal appeared. He rushed in, and Kael joined quickly. Luckily for them, the portal closed up just before the hall masters got there.
The portal opened again in a room—a very bright room. The lights were blinding, and as Kael stepped out of the portal, he had to cover his eyes for a moment as he tried to adjust to the light.
"Where the hell have you brought me to!" he yelled.
Veyr stepped out behind and chuckled lightly.
"This is my room," he said.
"What the hell? Why are the lights so bright and…"
