**POV SWITCH; ALPHA DENZEL'S**
"Tie him to a tree and let the Moon Goddess decide his fate," I commanded, my voice low but thunderous with intent.
I turned to the beta, his eyes darted to the floor, pretending not to feel the burn of my gaze searing into his skull. But he knew what I was asking of him. Everyone did.
I didn't repeat myself with volume. I didn't need to. I repeated it with presence. Staring him down, my eyes glowing with that crimson flush violent and unmistakable.
The kind of stare that kills a man without ever raising a claw.
The Luna's mouth parted in silent shock. This wasn't over?
It wasn't ending with the death of her only son?
"Of course not, Luna," I said, catching her thought like a scent on the wind. "I'm being merciful enough by letting the Moon Goddess determine his fate. You should be grateful"
I saw her teeth grind together, her jaw tightening so hard it quivered. She wanted to speak. She wanted to curse me. But she didn't.
