Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The forgotten Legends

In the sleepy town of Azuji, nestled between misty hills and ancient forests, whispers of a legend lingered like smoke in the night.

The elders would speak in hushed tones about the *Cave Dweller*—a creature of immense power, hidden deep within Great Cave, where shadows danced and trees leaned to listen and speak .

For generations, no one dared venture near, and the cave became a forbidden place, a boundary no child dared cross .

Parents would warn, "Behave, or the Dweller takes you," and kids would shudder, eyes wide, as the wind outside seemed to carry a low, warning growl.

Azuji thrived on tradition: farmers grew golden maize under rain-scented skies, blacksmiths forged tools that sang with iron and intent, and healers brewed potions from forest herbs, whispering prayers to the ancient earth.

But as modernity crept in—roads paved, phones buzzed, and tourists peeked curiously at the mist-veiled hills—the legend faded but to return .

Most forgot.

The youth laughed at tales meant to scare disobedient kids.

Great Cave became a joke, a backdrop for dares at drunken bonfires.

That changed one fateful rainy season. Autumn 2022. Azuji's children, tired of Netflix and drizzle, began daring each other, as kids do. The forbidden is forever spicy.

A group of five teens—Lara (the quiet dreamer), Jax (the thrill-seeker), Kofi (the jokester), Mina (the historian's granddaughter), and Tyra (the wild poet)—gathered at the old together curious thumbing through Mina's grandfather's dusty journal.

An excerpt caught their eye:

_"The Dweller sleeps where shadows pool. Do not wake what Azuji forgot."_

Tyra snorted. "Sounds like grandma's bedtime story." But curiosity clawed them. They agreed to explore the Great Cave that night.

After all, legends exist to be tested the said .

At dusk, they met at the cave's maw, flashlights flickering like fireflies in their sweaty palms and gasping .

The entrance yawned—a black mouth in the hillside, flanked by twin sentinel trees, their branches twisted as wrought iron. Cold breath seeped out, carrying a scent like wet stone and time.

Mina hesitated. "Guys, maybe we should stop and go back .

"Chicken?" Jax teased, stepping into darkness.

The others followed, leaving the bruised sunset behind. Gravel crunched. The cave swallowed sound. As trees faded, an unsettling quiet fell.

Water dripped like a restless heartbeat. The air thickened, and a hum, like a sleeping giant's breath at rest

made them shiver in fear .

"Weird," Kofi whispered, but his grin undermined the fear.

Deeper, they found it: an underground chamber where crystals jumbled like shattered stars in space .

At the center, a creature stirred. Eyes the size of boulders flickered open.

Ancient scales, etched with moss, shimmered.

The Cave Dweller the said .

The teens froze. The creature hadn't moved in centuries waiting for the right time .

Forgotten, it slumbered, bound by an ancient pact—protected by the town's unspoken reverence.

Now, curiosity awakened wrath of the creature the creature was angry

The curiosity had made fall into a great trouble ,the said

Lara, paralyzed, whispered, "We're sorry." The creature tilted its head, scales glinning like wet stone.

It them spoke in a voice that wasn't sound but a vibration in their bones: _"You woke me. Now you pay the debt of your mistakes.

A tendril of shadow lashed out, pinning Kofi to the wall. He screamed.

The others fled, stumbling through darkness, flashlights dying, as if the cave itself erased their path.

They burst into the stormy night, soaked and screaming, leaving Kofi behind.

The rain swallowed their words. Azuji slept, oblivious.

By dawn, Kofi was gone. The others hid, too scared to warn or alarm anyone

That night.

the Cave Dweller emerged.

It glowed faintly, hungry.

Crops withered. Wells dried. Panic spread like a stain.

Mayor Elara called an emergency meeting, but most dismissed it as a prank.

I"Just rain," they said. "Don't feed superstition." But the darkness pooling at the forest's edge wasn't natural.

And in a cramped, candle-lit hut, the teens huddled, guilt poisoning them. "We did it," Mina whispered, tears frozen on her cheeks. "It's coming for us."

The wind howled. Great Cave waited .
