Whispers went off listening his last plea. Anaphol's hidden perspiration with slight twitch of his fingers spoke volumes only to him and him alone.
He did not speak. For he saw, a two fingers rose. Not of just anyone but the Emperor Stelart. A few shushing here and there, the grand hall readied itself.
"Is that all?"
Anaphol rolled his thoughts in his mind. He rolled all he knew of the entire Territory of Sevenren. He did not have more idea. 'I should have went to a school!' He grumbled within.
Shaking his head, he pleaded with his eyes. A palpable tension was there in the air, Naph could taste it.
Emperor Stelart's fingers fell. Lady Izne at once stated, "We have heard all you have to say. Now please stand back while we hear more from our people."
Sighing with his head hanging, Naph strode back to where the six who brought him stood. His ride pulled by him. The guards having went back to their position as when the Emperor's fingers fell.
Lady Izne glanced over the three galleries on the left as well as the three galleries on the right of the grand hall's center. Understanding her intent, people broke off into select groups.
Whispers emanated the hall.
Naph didn't had to guess. He and his proposal was being judged. Whatever he had presented scrutinized against what they already know. 'It's like I am standing in a bounty auction!' He had only gone in one of those.
Don Extea had told him, such places could be anything from terrible to great.
It was time this empire's royal court showed him what it could be.
The very same man, who had been staring intently at Lady Izne, spoke. "The proposal by Operative Ennet needs to be presented from other perspectives. The audience demands that other operatives also present what they have experienced and collected since the start of the preliminary mission."
'No one told him anything? So how?' Naph's brows scrunched together. A few noticed that from the galleries.
However, the next moment Svnyo was called forward.
Anaphol felt mystified, 'Why wasn't I called by name?'
Svnyo reaching the center began her report. "The battle in the Territory of Sevenren began after the confirmation of Bulwark's death. In the underground market some information spread and there was a panic." She tasted the air with her breath. "What that information was, it couldn't be retrieved."
Svnyo's arms were folded behind her. "While the battle did start in the city of Sevenren, it did not become the battle for the Territory of Sevenren until the armies of the Territories of Leahero and Blan respectively had attacked the border villages. Only the forces from Rentilaco had pushed to go to the capital city Sevenren."
It was Lady Izne's turn. "Any intel on what the battle looks like?"
"No, Lady Izne."
Izne nodded. Svnyo came back. Next Dykur was called front.
Dykur talked of the changes observed in the Southern Regda from one week prior to the attack and then after the attack had commenced. Only one thing stuck out to Naph, it wasn't the premeditation but that even they waited for Bulwark's death.
Next up was Litto.
Svnyo and Dykur discussed something in hush voices, Naph could only catch them doing that in his peripheral vision. And just one sentence of Svnyo. "Why didn't you go over Southern Regda in detail?"
Naph didn't get it quite, still to him it felt Dykur talked more than what he himself knew.
Litto was in between his report when a crashing sound cascaded down from the middle gallery on Naph's left. A few turned to it. Litto didn't stop, he just became louder. That did dumb down the sound of hurried steps from there.
"The only nations and kingdoms till now that has shown active participation in the Battle of Sevenren is Thrysco, Streno, and Southern Regda. While the others I have mentioned have only shown interest in Sevenren in the recent months. That is all."
Litto came back. Nert wasn't even called and he stepped up.
Not choosing to stay the decorum Nert began. "Stelart," he heard a few gasps with Izne and the rest of the council's stare, "the caestre below the city of Sevenren is no joke. One of its resultant lesio effect is the teleportation poles that is only in the city of Sevenren. We have to get that." His eyes narrowed, "For the reason Keyriftrian is called keyriftrian."
By then, the guards had tackled him. Nert did not resist. Lady izne however, "Just hold him down. He still needs to give a report."
And he did. Nert's arms each held by a guard while his head was pushed down to the ground under another guard's knee.
After that, he was dragged away. Naph only caught a wink directed at him. Dykur too saw them both. Thus, Nert was gone from the grand hall.
Ovier's report was next. It did not concern the battle of Sevenren but he did comment on the enemies that had come to kill Anaphol in Island of Monite in summary. Ovier moved back.
Naph's heart beating loudly still. 'He avoided a lot he knew didn't he? Are they not telling everything because I am here? But why am I here after I pleaded?'
Cryst wasn't called forth by Lady Izne. But by Emperor Stelart himself and he asked. "Cryst, Ennet has appointed you as substitute representative for her proposal. What do you make of her proposal?"
Cryst gaze moved down to the floor for a moment or two. She then looked up at her emperor. "I think it is one that will require us to put off some of the efforts we intend to send to the continent of Irka."
Emperor Stelart laited through Cryst's eyes. "Begin."
Cryst nodding. "Ennet's proposal is not a product of recent developments. Rather it is made after thorough research and breaking ground after a blunder in local geopolitical shifts."
Taking a deep breath, she continues. "Territory of Sevenren will give us a look into the civilization that may have known about our planet more than what we know."
