Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Bastard CEO

Both Victoria and Matthias were furious looking at each other. Although they had done it all night while drunk, their relationship now looked like strangers. Victoria immediately moved her body away while picking up the white dress on the floor. Now her body felt sore, she was very sure that Matthias had done it seriously all night. However, how could Matthias find her in this hotel? Did Matthias follow her before?

"Answer my question first! How did you get here?" Victoria snapped.

Matthias clicked his tongue in annoyance as he put on his white shirt. "Aren't you the naive one?"

"Me?" Victoria laughed lightly and folded her arms. "Mr. Matthias, weren't you the one who targeted me from the start? Yesterday you sent me a marriage certificate even though we've never met before!"

Matthias frowned. "We've never met?"

"I don't know what really happened to us. What is certain is that I want you to clarify all of this. Actually, we don't deserve to get married. Were you the one who manipulated the marriage certificate?"

"Why would I use that method!"

Victoria smiled sarcastically as she took out her wallet from her sling bag. She took out some banknotes and threw them at the CEO's face.

"I don't want to see you anymore! Our business ends here because I'm getting married soon!"

"What?"

Without further ado, Victoria got out of bed while tidying her beautiful hair. For a moment she turned around and showed an annoyed look.

"You're such a jerk, Matthias! I thought you were a professional CEO like they say on the news. But it turns out you're just trash!"

Matthias' eyes grew redder hearing his wife's sarcastic words. He became even angrier at his wife who carelessly accused him even though in fact they had been married for a long time. But, how could his wife not remember him at all? What actually happened to his wife?

"You'll regret this later, Victoria!"

"I will never regret it because all I know is that you are just a jerk!" Victoria immediately got out of bed wearing the white dress she wore last night.

"Do you really not remember at all?"

"Why would I remember my dark past? Now I have a future husband. Later I will return the marriage certificate to you!" Her slender legs walked quickly out of the hotel room without turning her head.

Now only Matthias was left lying on the bed. For a moment his gaze fell on the red marks on the bed. His forehead wrinkled and he smiled happily.

"Luckily, it was your first time. I guess I still have hope even though you're engaged now."

Victoria's mind was getting messed up because of what she had experienced all night. While she was locked up in the penthouse, she was confused about what to do. Even though today was a work day, she felt like she couldn't work in peace after her virginity was taken by that bastard CEO. Her mind and heart were now focused on cursing the CEO to the fullest. She decided that she would not forgive the CEO and would hate him for the rest of her life.

To vent her anxiety, she called her best friend to meet her at the penthouse. Maybe her best friend knew what happened to her two years ago. She didn't want to guess based on her assumptions. If in fact she had married Matthias a long time ago, should she sacrifice all her desires?

Victoria took the initiative to welcome her friend by serving coffee. Then she sat next to her friend.

"Sorry to bother you at a time like this, Jennifer."

"I just feel something is strange with you. Why did you suddenly call me? Are you feeling unwell?" Jennifer touched her best friend's forehead with a worried look.

A rough breath escaped from her mouth. She lowered her head while staring at the diamond ring on her ring finger.

"Ansel proposed to me last night."

"Really? Congratulations!"

"But, I'm curious about what I experienced two years ago. Was I actually married to someone or not?"

Jennifer's facial expression suddenly turned tense. Her hands started shaking as her best friend brought up the past all of a sudden. Was it time for her to tell the truth?

"Victoria, do you remember?"

Victoria widened her eyes and touched her best friend's arm with both hands. "Is it true that I'm married? Why have you been hiding everything from me all this time?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hide it from you."

"So, is it true that I've been married all this time?"

"As far as I remember, you and Matthias are not married yet. Your relationship is still engaged."

"Then why does Matthias think we're married?"

Jennifer raised her right eyebrow. "Wait a minute! How do you know you're married?"

"Because I met Matthias last night. Right after Ansel proposed to me."

"Then, how is he now? We haven't seen him for a long time since your accident."

Victoria rested her chin on her hands for a moment. "But, seeing his act like that, I'm sure the accident was caused by him! Moreover, his family hates my family."

On the other hand, Matthias was in a skyscraper, his gaze blankly staring at the bright blue sky today. His chest still felt tight imagining the words his wife said in the hotel room. On one hand he was very happy to meet his wife, on the other hand he was angry because his wife did not remember him at all. All this time he had never heard from his wife, all he knew was that his family told him that his wife had run away a long time ago. When it was his turn to return to this city, he heard news that his wife had been in a relationship with another man and that she was even engaged.

"Matthias, it seems like you should know all this." The young man gave some documents to his friend.

"Have you found out why Victoria has been running away from me all this time?"

When he read the document file showing the case record of a fatal accident, his eyes immediately bulged and his right hand squeezed his chest, feeling tight.

"She… had an accident at that time?"
