Chapter 103 - Heavenly Fox Star God vs God King Zeus

At this moment, Brunhilde, the Valkyrie entrusted by the Gods with the right to select human champions, was racking her brain to determine the optimal thirteen-member team.

In this mythological world, humanity's history had already spanned seven million years.

Through a past of constant destruction and reconstruction, heroes as radiant as the stars had emerged.

Whether it was the strongest from the Three Kingdoms period, a hero from Japan's Heian era, the lion-like Spartans of Ancient Greece, or the most brilliant inventor in human history...

The Valkyries had little time left, for the Gods were arrogant, and their patience was finite. Tomorrow would mark the beginning of the duels.

However, a few essential candidates had already been identified. At this moment, Valkyrie Brunhilde gazed at the man standing beside her.

"I haven't yet had the pleasure of learning your name," Valkyrie Brunhilde inquired, suppressing the excitement in her heart.

The man's every move exuded the bearing of a true powerhouse; only a combatant of his caliber possessed the audacity to challenge the God King.

That immense power, capable of repelling the Gods in an instant, and the audacity to challenge Zeus, the God King—not to mention his explosive techniques.

The Saint before her, named Seiya, possessed terrifying strength at a minimum of the Chief God level.

If her sisters could complete the forging of a Divine Artifact for him, they could virtually secure one victory, much like with the Primordial Adam.

"Seiya, the Pegasus Saint, Seiya." Seiya lowered his eyes, gazing at the tall Valkyrie before him.

For an instant, the Valkyrie felt a flicker of something akin to envy for his composure. Then, she refocused her spirit and stepped into the Valkyrie's Palace Garden.

Waiting for them in the Palace Garden were heroes from across human history. At the very front, however, stood twelve maidens of varying builds and appearances — the Valkyries themselves. These Valkyries, each embodying vastly different concepts, nevertheless congregated closely around Brunhilde.

"It seems your sisters trust you deeply," Seiya remarked, expressing his approval to Brunhilde.

"Compared to a fighter who challenges the Gods, it's nothing," Valkyrie Brunhilde replied, already considering the order of combatants. "Before the great Creators, we are truly too feeble. Even if we miraculously gained the right to fight through their laws, we must still put everything on the line for even a sliver of possibility. So, I implore you..."

"Brunhilde," Seiya said, a hint of reprimand in his voice that startled the Valkyrie, "do you still harbor such reverence for the Gods who seek to erase humanity?"

"Truly," she stammered, "it's just that when facing powerful Gods, a certain awe is unavoidable."

"Heh heh," Seiya scoffed. "I don't know what kind of seven million years humanity in this realm has endured, but since you're challenging the Gods, then first, melt away that fear."

Seiya's gaze seemed to pierce through space, watching the multitude of Gods arriving at the spectator stands. Simultaneously, human heroes and representatives from across history also took their places in the stands.

"If you can't do it now, then let your eyes witness the glory of a Saint right now." Seiya clicked his tongue. "Hunting down rebellious Gods, correcting the wrongs upon the Earth—allow me to show you what a true God-Slayer is."

"You mean, you intend to be the first to enter the arena?" Valkyrie Brunhilde was momentarily stunned, but quickly received affirmation under Seiya's gaze. Time flowed swiftly. As a melodious sound echoed through the three realms, it signified the arrival of one thing: the final battle had begun.

The Gods of this world were indeed impatient beings. With the arrival of the various Gods and human representatives, the battle horn had already sounded. Yet, before that, one crucial thing still needed to be done.

As Seiya strode past the gladiatorial arena's entrance, Shiva, currently leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, suddenly spoke languidly as Seiya passed by.

"Tell me," he drawled, "who will be met with cheers... the Gods, or humanity?"

Seiya said nothing, simply striding into the arena.

With the arrival of both the Gods and humanity's representatives, the duel arena was now a roaring tide of voices.

This gladiatorial arena, created by the Gods, was not only protected by their divine blessings, making it nigh indestructible, but also easily accommodated millions of spectators simultaneously. In the overlapping spaces, it showcased the figures of heroes and champions from every mythology, every nation, every history, and every era.

Just as Heimdall, the horn-blower for this contest, awaited Valkyrie Brunhilde to present the combat roster, a figure suddenly appeared in the very center of the arena, ahead of schedule, in a torrent of light.

It was Pegasus, the one who had previously challenged the Gods. Heimdall recognized the newcomer in an instant. He walked up to

Seiya, a hint of exasperation in his voice. "Representative of humanity, it's not your time to enter yet... Hey, hey, what are you doing?!"

At that moment, Heimdall watched in stunned disbelief as Pegasus snatched his horn. Though he himself was a relatively powerful God, facing Pegasus—who had once challenged the collective Gods and casually walked away—he found himself pinned to the ground by a single hand.

Accompanied by a long, melodious horn blast, the assembled Gods, who had been leisurely chatting, all snapped their gazes towards the arena. But according to the schedule, it wasn't time for the duel yet!

"Hey, hey, can you hear me, Gods?" Seiya's voice was forcibly transmitted through this Horn of Ragnarok, reaching the ears of every single God and human present.

"Selfishness, arrogance, treachery, and sloth—these are your original sins as Gods. And these original sins are destined to see you trampled underfoot by me. How strong can such meaningless beings truly be?"

Seiya gripped the Horn of Ragnarok, pleased with its sound transmission capabilities. His gaze swept fiercely across the entire arena. "I'm tired of your mockery. Want to fight, you curs? I'm standing right here!"

At this moment, the collective gaze of the Gods converged upon him. As Seiya uttered his final words, the entire arena erupted into pandemonium, followed by a rising chorus of shouts like "Kill him!", "Drag his soul to hell!", and similar pronouncements.

Seiya stood casually in the arena, completely unfazed by the Gods' clamor.

As a duelist, he was deliberately allowing the Gods to choose their opponent. This meant completely surrendering the right to initiate the battle.

If he wasn't a fighter with supreme confidence in his own strength, then he was an arrogant fool.

At this moment, Ares, whose accumulated grudges were already burning hot, was the first to step forward. "Let me fight him!"

"Don't be as senseless as he claims," a voice cut in. "Haven't you learned your lesson yet? You are no match for him."

The radiant Apollo walked to the forefront. "I was already slated to participate. Allow me to give him a lesson he'll never forget."

"But his blatant disregard for the rules means anyone can step into the ring, doesn't it?" Heracles stepped in front of Apollo, carrying a silver coffin. "The one who should truly fight him, it should be me, Heracles!"

"Heh heh, or do you intend to lose to him and utterly disgrace the Gods?" the Four-faced, Three-eyed Shiva said coldly.

Shiva! Even he could no longer tolerate this provocation? The Gods were stunned. With the appearance of this heavyweight, the Chief Gods no longer vied for the right to step in and fight Seiya. While they certainly needed to defend the Gods' dignity, this fighter's strength was undeniable. It was only fitting that a more powerful God should be the one to respond.

Yet at that very moment, a grand symphony began to resonate throughout the gladiatorial arena.

Rainbow-colored light converged at the center of the arena, as if the radiance of the stars and the heavens had all poured into this spot. Simultaneously, Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony" resounded within the arena, played with magnificent power by a mythological orchestra composed of Musical Gods, seemingly heralding the arrival of a supreme being.

And the God dancing to this magnificent music was a frail, white-robed old man.

"It's Zeus! God King Zeus!" a God roared out his name.

It wasn't just him; at this moment, the gladiatorial arena was in a frenzy. No one had anticipated such a heavyweight combatant would kick off this competition!

The God among Gods, the God King, the strongest God's most formidable contender, answering the Saint's challenge, appeared before the Gods and humanity.

As his dance concluded, he pointed his left hand towards the heavens. Gazing at the challenging grin on the face of the God-Hunting Pegasus before him, he, too, closed his eyes.
