Chapter 102 - The Gods of Yellow and Red

Almost no God could clearly see the movements of the Young Pegasus. After the storm swept through the hall, a golden gleam tore through the sky and appeared before Zeus.

At this moment, the utterly listless Zeus suddenly sat upright, seriously scrutinizing the young man before him.

Shaka, also able to perceive it, casually blew bubbles with his tongue, while the one-eyed Odin opened his eyes.

Even Zeus raised his head, for only he could sense the abundant power within the Young Pegasus's body.

At less than a meter's distance, for an enemy, it was akin to having a gun pressed against their forehead.

Everything transpired in a flash of lightning. By the time the prime Gods reacted, they were instantly enraged.

In that same instant, Ares, clad only in a red cape, pressed his spear against Seiya's back; Susanoo brandished his blade, stopping it at Seiya's neck; the glorious Apollo aimed his Meteor Arrow at Seiya's brows and eyes; Heracles's silver iron club was poised to fall at any moment; and the suit-clad Hermes wrapped chains around Seiya's waist.

The Gods' reaction was incredibly swift. Upon reacting, they instantly subdued this defiant rebel who dared to attack the God King.

"Nonsense."

With a crisp crack as the tabletop shattered, a blinding orb of light accompanied the shockwave that swept through the Temple.

Almost no God could clearly see what had transpired in that instant. It was as if time had been frozen; when all things flowed again, all attacks had been disintegrated, and shattered weapons, like streaks of light, streaked towards the Gods.

Shaka, with a movement as gentle as a feather, caught the arrow fragment that splattered before him. His Alaya-vijnana was one of the few that could perceive the light and heat unleashed in that instant.

He saw the opponent use only his innate power to deflect the incoming arrow, use Ares's spear to flick away Heracles's club, and then stab the spear into Hermes's body.

But all of this transpired in an instant. For the other Gods, they could only perceive a burst of light, and the figures of the Gods sent flying by its radiance.

"Such a thing, this old man cannot simply turn a blind eye to."

It was not until an aged arm collided with that source emanating endless light that, at this moment, time itself seemed to slow its flow.

The Young Pegasus and the aged God King clashed, a scene exuding a divine beauty, as if it would still be recorded by humans on murals millions of years later.

"Stop, stop, Father God and Pegasus! Don't fight anymore!" Athena swallowed the bread in her mouth and shouted loudly.

Almost simultaneously, a new voice rang out from the doorway: "Great Gods, please hear me out!"

One anomaly after another caused the Gods to cast angry glances towards the main door of the Temple. The tolling bell tower was struck again.

However, this time, it was neither a noble chief God nor the God King who appeared.

Valkyrie Brunhilde strode into the Hall of the Gods. Purely by status, all the Gods present were basically superior to her, yet she still strode with firm steps to the center of the Temple, opening her arms and shouting towards the Gods:

"Great Gods, if you were to rashly judge humanity's sins like this, it would truly be far too hasty!"

"Oh, do you have another opinion?!" At this moment, the black crow standing on the one-eyed Odin's shoulder suddenly shouted loudly, "Don't spout such grand words! You mere Valkyrie! Hurry and withdraw!"

Valkyrie Brunhilde ignored the clamor in her ears. "Of course, through the Valhalla Code's Article 62, Item 15's Super Special Clause, the confrontation between the Gods and humanity—whether humanity has the value to continue existing for another thousand years—should be decided by this Ragnarok!"

At this moment, the entire hall erupted in an uproar. This clause indeed existed, and was truly inscribed in the Gods' codex.

Although it was unknown which God had proposed it, it was initially treated as a mere joke. A decisive battle between the Gods and humanity—this in itself was a completely unequal fight.

"Ya-ho-ho-ho! So that's it, Ragnarok, huh?" At this moment, the God King Zeus was the first to retract his power, letting out a booming laugh that shook the Temple. "This proposal is quite interesting, isn't it? What do you think, unknown Pegasus?"

"Stop bluffing. If you feel fear, you can entirely avoid fighting." Seiya's foot withdrew from the shattered tabletop. He opened his mouth in a grin, looking disdainfully at the aged God King before him. "But if you come, I will utterly shatter that pride of yours—that of a mere product, unaware of its own nature."

"Product? What kind of product?" At this moment, the God King completely failed to understand what the insolent Pegasus before him was saying. He only felt the fire in his chest ignite.

He watched Valkyrie Brunhilde respectfully approach Seiya, and with immense joy, welcome this warrior who challenged the Gods into the human camp.

Watching Seiya's departing back, the Gods fell into a flurry of discussion. They wanted to say something, but they all looked towards Zeus, who sat at the very top. Before he spoke, none attempted to stop this Saint.

"Are you just leaving like that, Pegasus, who challenged the Gods' dignity?!" At this moment, the black crow god Huginn, standing on Odin's shoulder, cried out.

"Exactly! Exactly! Before being a warrior, you should first apologize for betraying the Gods!" The white crow god Muninn shrieked.

Seiya's footsteps halted. Then he turned around and extended his right hand.

Faster than the destructive sonic boom that ravaged the Temple was his Source Wind. Even the crow gods didn't react; all their feathers had already been destroyed and obliterated.

At this moment, the two belatedly aware, 'insignificant' crows shrieked and hid behind Odin.

Seiya, from beginning to end, had no interest in targeting these "Chihuahua-type" Gods; he preferred to directly trouble their masters.

"Keep your crows in check, one-eyed Dragon." Seiya pointed at the grim-faced Odin, then turned and departed.

The Gods' ultimate combat law against humanity, in this world, is commonly known as Ragnarok. That is, the Gods and humanity each send representatives for a thirteen-on-thirteen duel to decide whether humanity has the value to continue existing.

In truth, the moment he saw the Love God, Seiya already understood what kind of transit world he had arrived in: Record of Ragnarok.

In this world, every thousand years, the Gods would decide humanity's extinction in a council. But this time, just before the judgment of humanity's extinction, the Valkyrie managed to secure a slim chance of survival.

This also served as humanity's last chance to engage in one-on-one duels with the Gods; if victorious, they would be allowed to survive.

It sounded hopeless, but in reality, humanity truly demonstrated a considerable degree of resilience, consistently walking a path of half wins and half losses until the very end of Ragnarok.
