Sarah stood a few feet ahead of us, crossing her arms. Her face shifted from one emotion to another. The moonlight reflected off her disheveled blonde hair, her sharp blue eyes flicking between me and her mate. It seemed she had been waiting for us, watching us from afar.
Gideon sighed, rubbing his temple as if bracing himself for an argument. "Baby—"
"Don't baby me," she cut in firmly. "I woke up to find my sister missing in the dead of night, my mate gone, and when I tracked you both, I find you sneaking back from the damn forest."
She took a step forward, narrowing her eyes. "Tell me what's going on. Now."
Gideon exhaled sharply, looking away. "Your sister," he said. "She's the one the Moonlit Pack has been looking for all these years."
Sarah's breath hitched. Her eyes widened, the color draining from her face. "What?"
Gideon turned to me, his piercing gaze pressing into me. "Tell her."
