"Yes."
The Royal Scholar did not protest. He had done as Queen Elizabeth demanded, taking the paper and pen to proceed with the work. He had stayed beside King Edward for years, just as he had been planted by Queen Elizabeth. So he knew the King's handwriting extremely well.
And so he wrote down the late King's handwriting without missing a thing. Soon, he was done forging the King's last words.
When he was finished, he handed the document to Queen Elizabeth with a bow. She accepted it and scanned the contents. Queen Elizabeth smiled.
"Thanks for your hard work all this while. You will be rewarded when the time comes," she said.
"Thank you," he replied with another bow.
Queen Elizabeth stared through the paper in her hands, smiling. She felt proud as she declared, "Mission complete." She stared down at the body of the late King. "At the end of the day, your precious kingdom ended up in the hands of a woman. You must be bitter in the underworld now."
