In Gentile Studio, Rowan Dove shot to his feet and raced out of his office without another word to the investigator and drove straight to the hospital.
When he arrived there, two blond-haired men stood outside, their faces covered as they hurried toward him.
"The investigator called to tell me he found Aurora. How true is that?"
"If we knew, we wouldn't be here, don't you think?" The other man sneered in response.
The duo exchanged daggering looks for a moment before Rowan walked past them, heading into the hospital.
The investigator had been waiting somewhere near the reception, and with his peculiar large coat and Lincoln hat, he was easy to spot.
As they approached him, he raised the photo to their faces.
Seeing their confusion, he shrugged and began to explain.
"I know people have doppelgängers, but I find it very likely that someone who looks like your little sister, especially when beat up the same way, might be your sister, just older."
The three men swallowed.
