Chapter 446 - 446: The Angel’s Curiosity Awakened

"Oh dear, that's a real shame."

Vados sighed softly, her staff flickering with a pale light that pulsed like her thoughts—mysterious and unreadable. She raised a delicate hand and snapped her fingers. Champa's unconscious body floated up behind her, suspended gently in the air.

After a brief inspection of his injuries, she smiled faintly. "Hmm, nothing serious. He's just passed out. Let him sleep it off."

Whis glanced at the large bump forming on Champa's round head, his lips twitching in amusement. Still, he knew a God of Destruction's life wasn't so easily threatened. And since Champa wasn't under his charge, he wisely kept silent.

Vados turned to Chiga, her usual calm expression returning. "We'll meet again. I'll remember you, Uchiha Chiga."

With a graceful wave, both she and Champa vanished in twin streaks of divine light, leaving only fading ripples in the vast void.

Whis remained behind, holding the still-dazed Beerus under one arm. His brow furrowed slightly—today's events were nothing short of unbelievable.

Chiga didn't linger either. Returning to his normal form, he gave Whis a small wave. "I'll take my leave."

With that, he vanished into the folds of space.

Beerus stirred weakly, his voice slurred. "Whis… he's really strong. I think Vados was serious about wanting him as the new God of Destruction."

Whis said nothing for a moment, his usually serene eyes narrowing slightly. "I don't know what Vados is planning, but I have a feeling… something big is coming."

Sixth Universe

Vados returned to the divine palace, Champa floating lazily beside her. She set him gently on his platform bed, where he immediately began snoring—complete with an enormous snot bubble wobbling with every breath.

"Honestly," Vados sighed, rubbing her forehead. "Guarding this lazy cat all these centuries… I must be the most patient Angel alive."

She floated outside onto the palace balcony, gazing at the endless stars in quiet thought. Suddenly, the air above the palace shimmered. Space twisted, and a new figure appeared—an elegant woman with twin pigtails and a teasing smile.

It was Marcarita, the Angel of the Eleventh Universe.

Despite technically being Vados's younger sister, she never acted like it. Folding her arms with a smirk, she called out mockingly, "Vados, standing here alone again? Where's your God of Destruction?"

Vados didn't even glance her way. "He's asleep. What about you, Marcarita? Do you have business in my Universe today?"

Marcarita floated closer, her tone dripping with feigned concern. "Asleep, huh? His Ki feels awfully weak. Are you sure he's not… injured?"

"I'm sure," Vados replied curtly and turned to leave, but her sister wasn't finished.

"Father mentioned that Zen'ō-sama has been complaining again about there being too many Universes," Marcarita said casually. "I think some of the weaker ones might be erased soon."

Vados's step paused for a heartbeat. Her tone was even, but her words carried quiet gravity. "We cannot defy Zen'ō-sama's will. When that time comes, we'll simply accept it."

Marcarita gave a carefree shrug. "True enough. Not that it concerns us, of course. The Eleventh Universe's strength is unmatched!" Her face gleamed with pride, as if she were personally responsible for Jiren's might.

Vados only smiled faintly. "Perhaps you should visit the Seventh Universe sometime. You might find… unexpected surprises there."

"The Seventh? You mean where Whis is stationed?"

"That's right," Vados said, her tone deliberately calm. "I just returned from there myself. It was… quite enlightening."

"What? Don't tell me Beerus actually improved?" Marcarita asked incredulously.

Vados's smile widened slightly. "Hehe, it had nothing to do with Beerus. You should see for yourself."

Without another word, she turned and glided away, leaving Marcarita frowning suspiciously in her wake.

"Hmph. So mysterious," Marcarita muttered. "As if there could be a mortal stronger than Jiren."

Still, curiosity glimmered in her eyes. She made a mental note to visit the Seventh Universe soon.

Back Inside the Palace

Vados found Champa fast asleep, snoring loudly with the snot bubble on his nose growing and shrinking rhythmically.

She sighed again, a helpless smile forming on her lips. "Truly hopeless."

After a moment of quiet contemplation, a new thought sparked in her mind—one that refused to fade.

"Why not visit the Seventh Universe myself?" she murmured. "It's not as if I have much else to do."

She briefly regretted not asking Chiga where he lived, but that wasn't a real obstacle. She could always ask Whis later.

Tapping her staff, she summoned a soft green glow that spread gently over Champa. The God of Destruction turned over, letting out a deep snore.

"Sleep well, Champa-sama," Vados whispered, her tone fond. "I'll be taking a little vacation."

Her figure transformed into a streak of radiant light and disappeared from the palace.

Earth, Seventh Universe

By the time Chiga returned, dusk had painted the sky with warm shades of gold and violet. He materialized on Bulma's lawn, and before he could even take a step, a crowd surrounded him.

"Huh? You guys are still here?" Chiga asked, slightly puzzled.

Bulma crossed her arms. "Of course we are! We couldn't just leave after seeing a God of Destruction appear. Goku said that one was terrifyingly strong."

"Yeah!" Goku grinned, his energy flaring with excitement. "So, Chiga—what happened? Did you win?"

Before Chiga could reply, a soft body collided with his chest. He looked down to see Lazuli—Android 18—clinging tightly to him, her expression full of relief.

"Chiga! You scared me half to death!" she said, her voice trembling slightly.

Chiga smiled, patting her back. "I made you worry. But look—I'm fine. Not even a scratch. I won."

Lazuli smiled up at him, pride shining in her icy-blue eyes. "Mm! My Chiga really is the strongest."

"Brother-in-law's the best!" Lapis cheered from the side. "Forget those so-called Gods of Destruction—brother-in-law's the real deal!"

Lazuli turned, glaring sharply at her twin brother. Lapis immediately flinched and went quiet, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.

Vegeta, standing a few steps away, muttered to himself with a complicated expression. "He actually defeated a God of Destruction… Just how powerful is he?"

He clenched his gloved fist, still faintly stained with purple—Frieza's blood.

After Chiga and the others had left earlier, Vegeta couldn't resist finishing off the fallen tyrant. But even unconscious, Frieza's body was so durable that Vegeta had struggled to pierce his defenses.

In the end, Lapis lent a hand, and together they finally finished him. Vegeta, perhaps out of spite, delivered several extra blows for good measure.

And so, the once-feared Emperor of the Universe met his end in humiliating silence—unconscious, powerless, and now surely being tormented in hell.
