Frieza collapsed face-first, purple blood pooling beneath him. His tail was severed from the root, and a deep scar on his torso still gushed blood—a pitiful sight for someone once feared across the stars.
His surviving soldiers stood frozen in disbelief, silent as insects in winter. A few of the smarter ones began creeping toward the spaceship, hoping to flee before sharing their master's fate.
Chiga, seated comfortably and eating barbecue, glanced lazily at the fleeing ship. A flicker of golden light flashed through his eyes.
Boom!
A thunderous explosion erupted, vaporizing the ship and every henchman aboard into a cloud of ash.
Lapis—Android 17—descended from the air, expression calm. Without even glancing at the fallen tyrant, he moved back to his grill and flipped a few nearly burnt pieces of meat before saying,
"Brother-in-law, that Frieza was really pathetic. One hit and he shattered."
Chiga smirked faintly, reclining with his head resting on Lazuli's lap as she brushed his hair aside.
"Don't underestimate him," he replied casually. "Frieza's talent is impressive. If he'd bothered to warm up with a few push-ups before coming, you might've had a harder time."
Lapis blinked. "Huh? You're kidding, right?"
Chiga chuckled. "No, I'm not."
Nearby, Vegeta gazed at Frieza's broken form with a twisted sense of satisfaction. Tossing aside his pride, he crawled forward, wanting to witness his old tormentor's downfall up close.
Gohan hurried forward to help him. "Vegeta-san, do you want to go closer? I'll take you."
Before Vegeta could answer, Gohan lifted him easily and set him beside the dying Frieza.
Frieza was barely breathing—more exhaling than inhaling. He could hardly twitch a finger. Vegeta spat in disgust.
"Frieza, look at you now! Once the terror of the universe, now crawling in the dirt like a dying dog. Where's your arrogance now? Hahaha!"
His laughter broke into tears. Years of humiliation and rage poured out all at once.
Chiga snapped his fingers, and the black shackles around Vegeta vanished instantly. Vegeta looked toward Chiga in awe, then raised his hand, ready to finish Frieza once and for all.
Suddenly, a purple claw grasped his wrist. Vegeta froze, horror spreading across his face as he turned.
"Be… Beerus?!"
Beerus narrowed his eyes. "So, you still remember me. Did you do this to Frieza? Your strength has improved."
Lapis frowned, stepping forward. "Hey! Don't talk nonsense. I'm the one who defeated him."
Beerus turned toward him, his voice cold. "You? Such arrogance."
In a blink, Beerus appeared in front of Lapis, touching a finger to his forehead. "Disrespecting a god has consequences. Disappear."
Purple light began to swirl at his fingertip. Lapis' body froze; he couldn't even move.
At that moment, Chiga's calm voice broke the tension.
"Quite an entrance, God of Destruction. But tell me—since when do my people fall under your judgment?"
Beerus frowned, turning toward him. "You know who I am? Then who are you?"
Chiga tilted his head slightly, eyes glowing faintly. "We can discuss that later. But first, take your hand off my brother-in-law, or I'll start getting annoyed."
Beerus sneered. "Then show me if you have the right to speak to a god like that."
Purple energy rippled from his finger as his aura surged. But before he could strike, twin beams of golden light burst from Chiga's eyes, slicing the air between them. The sheer force made Beerus instinctively retreat.
That lingering Ki made even the God of Destruction's heart skip a beat.
"This power… I recognize it," Beerus muttered. "That presence on Earth—it was you!"
Whis appeared beside him, his normally serene face showing rare seriousness. His staff hummed softly as he observed Chiga.
Under their watchful eyes, Chiga rose to his feet. Lapis immediately moved behind him, still shaken.
"Brother-in-law, that cat-looking guy's insane! I couldn't even react to his moves!"
Chiga smiled. "Of course. He's the God of Destruction I mentioned earlier—the strongest in this universe."
Lazuli looked up at him with concern, gripping his arm. "The strongest god? Then… you can't defeat him?"
Chiga gave her a soft smile. "Did I say the strongest god? I said the strongest in this universe. There are others."
Lazuli tilted her head, clearly lost.
Beerus glanced at Whis, who finally spoke. "If that's true, which universe are you from? An existence at your level shouldn't be unknown."
That question lingered in everyone's minds. No one—neither Bulma nor the Saiyans—knew where Chiga had come from.
Chiga shrugged lightly. "I'm not a god from any universe you're familiar with. Explaining it would be troublesome. Let's skip to the important part—why are you here?"
Beerus stepped forward, smirking. "Simple. I came to test your strength. What do you say? Shall we fight?"
"Fine," Chiga replied, standing tall. "But not here. This place would never survive our battle."
Beerus grinned. "Agreed. I couldn't care less about this planet."
Whis frowned, sensing the danger. Chiga's power was immense—perhaps even divine. If he and Beerus clashed seriously, the entire universe might not withstand the shockwaves.
But Beerus, impatient as always, barked, "Whis! Take us somewhere far away. I want a proper fight this time!"
Whis sighed softly, already regretting what was about to happen. "Very well," he said. "But if things get out of control, I will intervene."
And with a shimmer of divine light, the three of them vanished from Earth.
