Chapter 1 - 1. Jack Green

Central City No. 1 High School, Senior Year 2, Class (1). The homeroom teacher, Frank Johnson, stood on the podium, looked at the students below, and spoke with a slightly solemn expression.

"The day after tomorrow marks the beginning of a two-month summer vacation. You will become high school seniors after the break. I think you know what I'm going to say next, right?"

"Yes!"

Many students shouted excitedly.

"Teacher, I've been waiting for this day for 17 years."

"And you've been single for 17 years, too."

"Alright, let's listen to the teacher continue."

The class leader spoke, and the class soon quieted down, but the excitement on their faces was still evident.

"I know you're all excited, but becoming a Trainer is a dangerous endeavor and a significant test for your family."

"After school today, go home and discuss with your parents whether you should enter the regular class or the Trainer class in your third year of high school."

"Remember, this choice will affect your whole life. Even if many of you have already made your choice, you should think it over again when you go back home."

"Okay, you may now leave school."

After Frank Johnson finished speaking, he left the classroom. As he left, the entire classroom became extremely lively in an instant. The uproar could even be heard in the corridor. Normally, in such situations, a teacher would come to warn them.

But this time was different because all the prospective seniors in the entire corridor were making excited sounds.

"Jack Green, which class do you choose, the regular class or the Trainer class?"

A relatively slim boy approached another boy and put his hand on his shoulder.

"Naturally, it's the Trainer class," Jack Green said calmly.

Despite his calm demeanor, his heart was already screaming with excitement.

Finally, he could become a Trainer. In the future, defeating Elites and overcoming champions was not just a dream.

Jack Green was extremely thrilled. He was a traveler from Blue Star who had come to this planet, which was very similar to a basketball world.

The biggest difference between this planet and his previous one was the magical creatures known as Pokémon. In some countries, these creatures are also called Pokémon or Pokémon.

Jack Green was very familiar with Pokémon. From "Pokémon Fire Red," "Pokémon Leaf Green," Diamond Pearl, Black and White, to Platinum, he had played them all in his previous life.

He was an avid Pokémon game fan and a dedicated Pokémon anime fan.

He always fantasized about one day traveling to the world of Pokémon and capturing his favorite Pokémon.

And this dream came true. Although it wasn't the Pokémon world of Ash and Pikachu from the anime, the world he was in had real Pokémons. There were Pokémons in the streets, TV commercials, videos, etc.

Two hundred years ago, there were no Pokémon on this planet. They suddenly appeared, and with their appearance, the planet's area continued to grow.

According to scientists, the world where Pokémon exist and our planet are gradually merging.

Initially, humans were extremely cautious about this strange creature, and their destructive power was immense, with powerful creatures comparable to nuclear bombs.

In the first fifty years, a massive war broke out between humans and Pokémon, with countless casualties on both sides.

Humans ended up using a nuclear bomb, but a legendary Pokémon appeared to stop it.

The legendary Pokémon's ability to devastate made humans realize that their ultimate weapon was a joke in comparison.

Surprisingly, legendary Pokémon did not harm humans but reached peace agreements with the high-level leaders of various countries.

With advancements in science and technology, secret realms, forbidden areas, and ruins began appearing in the world. Humans found knowledge about Pokémon in these ruins, including the technology to produce Poké Balls.

Over time, humans and Pokémon have lived in harmony for 150 years, blending into each other's lives.

Many countries have now ceased research on weapons, not because the world is peaceful and free of war, but because scientists have discovered the limitless potential of Pokémon.

Nuclear bombs are powerful but require detonation. An Elite-level Pokémon can detonate it in the air.

A slightly trained Pokémon can easily defeat dozens of heavily armed humans.

To harness the power of Pokémon, the Trainer class was born.

The comparison between countries is no longer about the number of nuclear bombs but the number of top Trainers.

An Elite-level Trainer with an Elite-level Pokémon can easily destroy a city, and a Champion-level Trainer can destroy a small country.

Trainers have become essential for protecting countries, and training powerful Trainers and Pokémon is a unified national policy.

The country Jack Green lives in is called Floraland. It has a rich history similar to the country where he lived in his previous life.

Since Pokémon arrived 200 years ago, history has naturally changed.

The Floraland Trainer Association stipulates that nationals who are 17 years old and have no serious violations of law or discipline in their immediate family can register as trainers.

You can only own Pokémon after becoming a Trainer. If you possess Pokémon beforehand and are discovered, you will face severe penalties from the Trainer Association.

Seeing Jack Green express his desire to enter the Trainer class, Mike Williams asked, "Do you have a Pokémon prepared at home?"

"Yes, what about you?"

"Are you going to buy it from the breeding house or the school?"

To become a Trainer class student, you must own a Pokémon, whether it's a Catterpie, a Weedle, or a quasi-legendary like Dratini or Beldum.

Even a Catterpie or Weedle sells for as high as 80,000 at a breeding house, and you can catch one in the wild if you're not afraid of danger.

"Of course, I'll buy it from the breeding house. The school only has seven or eight kinds of Pokémon eggs. My dad knows the manager of Chen's breeding house."

"I heard they recently got some Charmander eggs, and I've reserved one for myself."

When Mike Williams said this, his voice was slightly louder so that the surrounding students could hear.

Charmander eggs have a market value of over one million.

The surrounding classmates looked at Mike Williams with admiration. They didn't expect his family to be so wealthy; it wasn't apparent normally.

Their gazes made Mike Williams snort proudly.
