Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 The Power of Healing

It seems he's gone too far. He stopped a war between city-states. You know, every war provides Ares with faith and divine power, regardless of victory or defeat!

But Mobius actually stopped a war from continuing.

The humans below looked up at the sky with devout expressions.

"Oh, great god! Please come to our side, save us, and lead us out of the suffering of war." The soldiers laid down their weapons and knelt on the ground.

"Great Lord, we long for your protection, and hope your power can bring us salvation." Another soldier, whose eyes had healed, looked at the sky with fanaticism.

Things are getting serious! Mobius couldn't help but wipe the non-existent sweat from his brow. He couldn't leave, nor could he stay. He had merely sprinkled some holy water, slowly gaining healing power, but he hadn't expected it to directly heal all the wounds of all the humans on the battlefield.

What Mobius didn't notice was a faint power of peace emerging around him. This power seemed on the verge of forming a divine authority, but because the power of peace was too scarce, no divine authority appeared.

In fact, the War God Ares was right; he also possessed a bit of healing ability. Who is this, you ask? Ares, one of the future Twelve Olympian Gods, the God of War and Courage, who later also controlled the divine authorities of conflict and contradiction, destruction and power, chaos and bloodshed.

Although he only controlled the power of war at present, he was already a prominent figure on Mount Olympus, and Mobius, a newly ascended god, actually had some healing ability over Ares.

What does this mean?

It means how powerful the healing power in the holy water is! That's why Ares said he wanted Mobius to heal the wounds of his followers.

Mobius looked at the kneeling humans below, gritted his teeth, and slowly descended. He seemed to know what to do.

He arrived in the middle of the battlefield. Countless humans knelt, worshipping a god who had healed their wounds. At this moment, the war was successfully quelled by Mobius.

The priests of the other gods exchanged glances and also knelt down. After all, they were merely priests of gods, not gods themselves, so they needed to kneel in the presence of a god.

The gap between gods and mortals is like heaven and earth!

If they didn't kneel, then even before Mobius's punishment, the gods they served would surely punish them first, and the simplest form of punishment was death...

"Great venerable god! What is your divine authority? I am willing to build statues for you and worship you day and night," a soldier on Mobius's left said fanatically, stroking his newly grown hand.

His hand had been deformed since birth, but he never expected it to grow back here.

Mobius's eyes widened. What was wrong with this human? He actually felt the purest faith. Such a follower was either a fanatic or a devout believer.

And he had only just appeared. Were the humans here really that simple?

In fact, fanatics and devout believers are not that easy to come by. After all, humans were created in the image of gods, so humans would naturally have selfish motives.

Would a selfish person give everything for a stranger? I don't think so.

And this human in front of him was just an exception. He had been ridiculed for years because of his deformed arm, and all the difficulties he faced from childhood were due to his deformed arm. So, after Mobius healed him, he was willing to offer his faith.

The humans present bowed their heads even lower. Before the god spoke, someone actually had the courage to speak first. What if this god had an unpredictable temper and considered speaking before him an offense? Wouldn't they all have to die with him?

This was experience summarized by their predecessors! The tempers of gods were strange and varied.

Fortunately, Mobius was not one of those gods with strange tempers; on the contrary, he was very approachable, at least compared to those peculiar beings on Olympus, his temper was quite good.

"I am the god of purification and..." Mobius hesitated for a moment, then continued, "the god of purification and healing, Mobius, and a subordinate god of Lord Ares, the God of War."

"What is your name? Do you want to become my priest!" Mobius asked the person who had spoken first.

All the humans present were stunned. What was happening? This lord actually asked the first human to speak to become his priest!

Everyone around them was filled with regret and annoyance. If only they had spoken first, they too could have become a god's priest and enjoyed a status above ten thousand people in the city-state!

On the other side, the priest of the War God Ares in this city-state breathed a sigh of relief. It turned out to be a subordinate god of the deity he worshipped, so there shouldn't be any major problems.

"Great Lord Mobius, I am Daktor, a member of the city-state of Anto. I am willing to build your temple and shrine for you in Anto, and consecrate your statue," Daktor said devoutly.

Hearing Daktor say that, Mobius quickly wiped his sweat and said, "No need. As Lord Ares's subordinate god, my statue can be enshrined in the War Temple. You can become my priest and also go to the War Temple to worship me," Mobius quickly said.

He had just affected Ares's divine power acquisition. If he were to build his own temple and shrine independently, then no matter how magnanimous Ares was, he would inevitably harbor resentment towards Mobius.

"Mobius, you are truly excellent. You are indeed worthy of being my most loyal subordinate god." Ares's figure slowly appeared from afar.

He was originally on his way to Olympus when he suddenly discovered that a war had abruptly stopped. Although a single war didn't concern him much, as there were many places on earth where wars broke out, this particular one hadn't brought him the desired benefits, which greatly angered Ares. He didn't even bother going to Mount Olympus and rushed directly towards the direction where the divine power had been lost.

As a result, he discovered Mobius's presence and, upon hearing Mobius's words, he guessed that it was Mobius's power that had stopped the war.

"Great God of War, Lord Ares, may our wars bring you joy." The war priest, with his robust physique, prostrated himself on the ground, saying fanatically.

However, Ares didn't pay attention to this priest, seeming to have heard such words many times before.

He was now very curious about Mobius. He genuinely wanted to know how Mobius had stopped the war, and why the divine power generated after the war hadn't returned to him.
