Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Arrival of Artemis

Ares was stunned, then burst out laughing and said, "Mobius, you are still too weak. Quickly think of what divine authority you want, and I'll snatch one for you. That way, you won't be so weak."

"Then you can perform the battle from just now for me every day." Ares slashed a nearby monster.

The monster's blood splattered, but none of it touched Ares.

The death of this monster made Mobius's heart pound to its limit, and a new idea emerged in his mind. He felt that if he killed all these monsters, there would be extra benefits.

He didn't know how to tell Ares about this, as it was just a guess. If he didn't gain any benefits, Ares might abandon him.

"What's wrong, Mobius? Your expression keeps changing," Ares asked.

Although Ares didn't like to use his brain, he could still understand basic emotions.

"Lord Ares," Mobius paused for a moment, gritted his teeth, and finally spoke his guess, "I feel that these monsters are harmful to the world."

"If we clear out all the monsters, we might gain unexpected benefits," Mobius said.

"Oh, you mean that, Mobius," Ares scratched his head. "You haven't become a god yet, so you don't know. This benefit should be divine authority, probably power related to purifying defilement."

"If you want such divine authority, I'll help you acquire it. After all, these monsters are like ants in my eyes," Ares said with overwhelming dominance.

"However, such divine authority would only be a support type, leaving you without self-preservation abilities. Are you willing?" Ares asked in advance.

Support type divine authority? Support type gods indeed seemed to have low status. However, the ability to purify defilement was quite useful for Mobius.

If he handled it well afterward, he might even attract the attention of Gaia, the Earth Mother. As long as Gaia could protect him, the subsequent matters would be much simpler.

Although he couldn't escape the status of a pawn, he wouldn't be someone who could be discarded at will.

"Lord Ares, I believe you will protect your subordinate gods. As long as you are here, my combat ability isn't important, is it?" Mobius said with a smile.

Mobius's clear words entered Ares's ears, making his heart skip a beat.

He seemed to have never been trusted so wholeheartedly before; no one would willingly hand over their lifeline.

After all, gods without power were truly miserable, often tormented into madness or disfigured beyond recognition.

But Mobius, standing before him, said he had him, which meant entrusting his lifeline to him!

Ares's tone softened as he said, "Are you sure you want a support type divine authority?"

Seeing Ares's expression, Mobius nodded as if it were obvious.

Mobius guessed Ares's thoughts, but he didn't mind.

Firstly, Ares was a god of war, and his mind was relatively simple, so he could easily gain Ares's trust.

After all, the relationship between subordinate gods was much closer than the blood ties between most gods.

One prospers, all prosper; one suffers, all suffer. This saying was not a joke.

The connections between famous gods were much closer than imagined.

One might hear of children betraying their fathers or mothers, but never of subordinate gods betraying their main gods.

Even if a subordinate god became independent later, the relationship with the main god was usually handled well.

There were many such instances. Of course, even if this matter was someone else's conjecture or a rumor,

he could still rely on Ares's character to protect himself.

At least, he hadn't heard of Ares engaging in any coercive behavior towards men, making him a moral standard-bearer alongside Apollo and Hades.

Although he still seemed quite explosive, he was barely acceptable.

Moreover, if Ares truly abandoned him later, with his support divine authority, someone would be willing to accept him when he was weak.

This way, he would be able to get through his weakest period.

After that, he believed he could embark on a path of self-preservation.

If he failed and was toyed with, he would accept the consequences; it wasn't a big deal to him.

However, he believed he could always live and forever stand at the pinnacle of Olympus.

Just then, a deer called, and a wolf howled.

A golden elk slowly approached from a distance, and behind it was an exquisitely beautiful goddess.

She held a silver bow in her hand, and every gesture carried a wild charm.

"Long time no see, Lord Ares." Artemis's figure slowly appeared. She glanced at Mobius, then looked at Ares.

"Artemis, what are you doing here?" Ares looked at the suddenly appearing goddess with displeasure, his face full of impatience.

"Monsters formed from resentment and battlefield power have appeared on the earth, threatening my followers," Artemis said indifferently.

However, seeing that Mobius was fine, she prepared to leave.

Although Ares was at odds with her, he wasn't as cruel and perverse as those third-rate gods.

After speaking, Artemis prepared to leave. Mobius now had a good entrustment, which could be considered worthy of her mother serving her for thousands of years.

Ares looked at the departing Artemis and snorted, saying, "You don't need to worry about it. This is what my subordinate god should do."

Artemis's body paused, stunned.

Then she gave Mobius a deep look and said, "Good, but don't let a single monster escape. If one gets away, I'll come find you."

"This is my subordinate god, of course I'll do it, you don't need to tell me!" Ares shouted loudly.

After speaking, Ares pulled Mobius's hand and headed towards the battlefield.

Mobius looked at Ares in surprise.

Ares actually said such words; according to the nature of gods, they wouldn't say such things.

Oh, right, Ares was quite good to his subordinate gods. The two gods who pleased him in mythology also received many privileges.

In fact, it was because the power of war was always equal.

All things either shatter before war or gain new life from it, which is why Ares was so unconventional. Coupled with Mobius's recent transmigration, he hadn't adapted to the huge class difference between gods and daemons.

That's why such a strange scene appeared.
