Chapter 117 – Super Melee

"Aha… looks lively down here!"

A group of figures suddenly dropped from above.

At the front strode a swordsman with two blades crossed on his back, a monkey perched on his shoulder.

It was Doma—the Bohemian Knight of the Seas—and his Riding Pirates, the same crew that had already defeated Diamante and the Donquixote fighting corps on the Dressrosa coast.

"Haha! Looks like we got here just in time!"

No sooner had Doma landed than another crew descended after him. Leading them was a tall man with a feral grin, a heavy cutlass in hand—George Salin, captain of the Bulldog Pirates, who had earlier taken down Gladius, one of Doflamingo's elite officers.

"George! Doma!" Wores and the others brightened at the sight of their unexpected allies.

"Heh, Diamante took a while, but I still got here before George," Doma chuckled.

"Yeah, right! I was here first—just ran into some underworld scum outside and had to deal with them!" George Salin barked back.

"Tch… more pests?" Caesar Clown sneered from atop the wreckage, floating lightly as gas misted from his body. "It makes no difference… Giant Corps, crush them! Centaur Troopers, tear them apart!"

At his command, the monstrous ancient giant experiments stomped forward, clubs raised high.

Behind them, the centaur soldiers—warped hybrids from Caesar's cruel experiments—charged with bloodlust in their eyes.

"Crush… crush… crush!"

"Rip them apart!"

"Hah!" George Salin bared his teeth in a grin, his body shifting as fur erupted over his skin and his jaws elongated into a Doberman's snarl.

George Salin is a Zoan‑type user—his Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Doberman lets him transform freely.

"Boys! Follow me! Let's rip these freaks apart—woof!" George roared, rushing toward the giants and centaurs with claws bared.

"Ohh!! Follow the boss! Take down these monsters!" the Bulldog Pirates yelled, charging after him.

"Tch… showing off again?" Doma laughed, then brandished his swords.

"Riding Pirates! We can't lose to those mutts—charge!!"

"Ohhh!! Follow the captain!!" his crew shouted, rushing in with blades flashing.

The battlefield erupted.

Doma and George each took on two of the towering giants, their crews clashing with the Centaur Troopers in a chaotic melee.

The experimental giants—what the world would one day know as the Numbers—were enormous and durable, but against true veterans of the Grand Line, their size was no guarantee of victory. Doma's twin swords carved deep, and George's jaws and claws ripped through hardened flesh.

Still, their incredible resilience and sheer strength forced even these masters to fight in earnest.

"Let's move too!"

Wores, Skaar, Yaqi, Bonney, and Carolos burst forward, heading straight for the Donquixote executives.

Wores leapt toward Caesar Clown. The fish-man fighter hadn't forgotten Ace's orders: capture Caesar alive.

Caesar, a Logia‑type Gas-Gas Fruit user, was slippery and dangerous—but against a Fish-Man Karate master wielding both Armament and Observation Haki, and with seawater leaking through the ruined lab floor, the scientist was at a grave disadvantage.

Wores scooped up a swirl of water from a shattered drainage pipe, channeling it into his fist.

"Fish-Man Karate: Shoulder-Throw Current!"

BOOM!

The pressurized water smashed into Caesar's face, sending him hurtling through the wall in a spray of gas and debris.

Wores kicked off the ground, giving chase without hesitation.

On another side, Skaar squared off against Trebol, his own Paramecia powers—the Stress-Stress Fruit—clashing with Trebol's sticky-iron mucus in a brutal contest.

Yaqi took on Buffalo, who whirled like a human helicopter to rain down gunfire and blades.

Jewelry Bonney drew twin pistols and fired at Baby 5, but the Weapon-Weapon Woman morphed her arms into a Gatling gun and answered with a storm of bullets, forcing Bonney into evasive acrobatics.

Meanwhile, Carolos darted and spun, trading vicious kicks with Dellinger, the lethal fish-man fighter of Doflamingo's crew. Carolos's speed and strength gave her the edge even without her Sun Elf abilities.

All across the underground lab, the fights raged.

Above ground, the Riku Royal Army, now fully defected from Doflamingo, was mopping up the remnants of the Donquixote Family. The Tontatta warriors and the freed former toys pushed back the underworld's hired guns.

The whole Dressrosa coliseum—both above and below—had become a full-scale battlefield. Blades clashed, Devil Fruit powers collided, and gunfire echoed through the shattered halls.

But those watching the war unfold knew one truth:

The true deciding battle would not be here, nor in the depths of the arena.

It would be at the palace on the King's Plateau,

where King Riku and Doflamingo—the two kings of Dressrosa—would soon face each other in a clash that would decide the fate of the island.
