-Chapter 116 – Huge Corps
"Oi… are you kidding me?" Skaar stared at the titanic silhouettes emerging from the darkness, his eyes wide with shock. "What are these things…? They're massive!"
These hulking monstrosities were the failed ancient giant experiments—the same type of creations that, in the Wano Country arc of the original timeline, were later known among Kaidō's forces as the Numbers.
But at this point in time, these were still unfinished bio‑weapons, created through Caesar Clown's gigantification experiments and not yet sold to Kaidō by Doflamingo.
"Fufufufu! What's the matter? Scared now?" Caesar floated in the air, spreading his arms wide with a mad grin. "Then feast your eyes on my… ultimate masterpiece!"
He clapped his hands dramatically.
"Come forth… my final creation!"
OOUUUGHHH!!
A deeper, more chilling roar shook the lab. Everyone watched in stunned disbelief as a colossal creature emerged—a winged monster, scales glinting in the dim light, molten breath seeping from its jaws.
It was a flying dragon—one of the bio‑weapons originally engineered by Vegapunk to guard Punk Hazard. In the past, such dragons were large and terrifying, able to breathe fire and adapt to harsh climates. The World Nobles adored these creatures, calling them living treasures.
But this one was… different.
A year ago, when Caesar's Punk Hazard facility was destroyed by Ace's raid, Caesar smuggled out one surviving dragon and brought it here to Dressrosa. He used his gigantification research to modify it further, evolving it into a giant dragon. Now, Caesar regarded this towering behemoth as his crowning achievement.
Wores and the others stared in awe.
"Is that… a dragon?"
"That's right!" Caesar proudly floated down onto the dragon's massive head. He spread his arms dramatically.
"Behold… my ultimate masterpiece—the Ultimate Fantasy Battle Flying Greymon!"
"…What kind of dumb name is that?"
Even Wores, Skaar, Yaqi, and the Donquixote officers nearby gave him flat, unimpressed looks.
"What's with those faces? Don't you dare look down on my naming sense!" Caesar shrieked, veins bulging.
"…Yeah, it's bad," they all muttered in unison.
"Raaahh?" Even the dragon itself twisted its long neck, letting out a confused grunt that almost looked like disgust.
"You ungrateful lizard!" Caesar kicked the dragon in the head. "Now—burn them to ashes!"
ROOOOAR!
The dragon obeyed, spreading its jaws and spewing a torrent of blazing fire toward the intruders.
Skaar stepped forward, planting his feet as his palms rose. Invisible pressure shimmered in front of him, compressing the air.
"Super‑Pressure Air Cannon!"
The pressurized blast erupted like an invisible shell, colliding with the fire breath and dispersing it. The shockwave continued onward, slamming into the dragon's massive chest and knocking its huge body backward into the lab wall.
"You useless reptile! Get up!" Caesar snarled. "If you don't finish them before Smiley wakes up, I'll turn you into Smiley's lunch!"
At the mention of Smiley, the dragon's eyes widened with primal fear. It let out a shrill cry, shook itself off, and charged forward with rage in its eyes.
Wores calmly stepped forward, coiling his body like a spring. Water gathered in his palm, spiraling with explosive force.
"Fish‑Man Karate… Buraikan!"
BOOM!
His fist struck the dragon's abdomen. The shockwave of compressed water punched through the dragon's body, sending the massive beast flying across the lab. It crashed down, unconscious.
"Hmph." Wores let the water fade from his knuckles, a flicker of disdain on his face. "All that size… and still just weak."
"You're all trash! Trash, I say!" Caesar ranted, face red with fury. "Fine! If my masterpiece can't do it, then… Numbers! Crush them or become Smiley's food!"
The hulking experimental giants flinched at the name, then their eyes turned blood‑red with terror and obedience. They bellowed and charged, the ground shaking under their feet.
"Don't… become food…"
"Kill them… crush them… crush them!"
They swung massive clubs and weapons down toward Wores and his crew.
"Wind‑Pressure Tornado!" Skaar shouted, whipping up a violent cyclone that deflected one blow.
"Tang Caowa's Fist!" Wores unleashed another shockwave.
"Power Hammer!" Yaqi roared, his mechanical arm smashing into a giant's knee.
The three of them worked in perfect unison, knocking three of the towering creatures off their feet and forming a protective wall in front of Jewelry Bonney and Carolos.
"Oi! What's that supposed to mean?!" Bonney yelled, furious.
"Yeah! Don't look down on us—we can fight too!" Carolos squeaked indignantly.
"Fighting is a man's job," Yanliu (one of their crewmates) declared, turning with what he thought was a dashing smile. "Ladies, please just stand back and—"
BONK! BONK!
Two simultaneous punches to the head from Bonney and Carolos dropped him to his knees, two huge lumps rising from his scalp.
"Centaur Corps, advance!" Caesar screamed.
Behind the giants, a new wave emerged—half‑human, half‑beast hybrid soldiers armed with claws and spears. These were more of Caesar's twisted experiments, the Centaur Troopers.
The Donquixote cadres lined up in front of the charging giants and hybrids, ready to fight alongside them.
"Enough talking," Wores growled, his stance lowering, his fist tightening as he stared across the room at their enemies. The Spade Pirates stood shoulder to shoulder, eyes locked on the wave of monsters.
The air crackled with tension.
Despite being vastly outnumbered, none of them showed a hint of fear.
The battlefield was set.
The clash was inevitable.
