Chapter 101: Dealing with Spirit Treasures, Roadblockers!

Da Kui City was one of the top five largest cities in the Great Wilderness Province.

Its vast scale was beyond ordinary imagination.

Moreover, the city was only about two days' journey from the location of the Great Wilderness Ancient Tablet.

As the day of the weakest seal on the Great Wilderness Ancient Tablet drew nearer, Da Kui City grew increasingly chaotic, with various factions gathering around this area.

Lin Fan and Qing Tan were traveling on Huo'er's back and, after more than ten days of travel, finally arrived at Da Kui City.

"This city is so huge! It must be dozens of times larger than Flame City!" Qing Tan exclaimed in awe as she looked at the massive outline of Da Kui City.

Lin Fan smiled and said, "The Great Wilderness Province is full of mixed forces, all converging here. As one of the top five cities, Da Kui City is naturally enormous."

"Come on, let's take a look around the city and see if we can get any news about your brother Lin Dong."

As they approached the city gates, to avoid unnecessary trouble, Lin Fan and Qing Tan dismounted from Huo'er.

Huo'er shrank back to kitten size and was cradled in Qing Tan's arms.

The two of them, along with the little beast, strolled leisurely into Da Kui City.

After entering the city, Lin Fan first found an inn where they could stay. They enjoyed a comfortable bath, changed into clean clothes, and took some time to rest.

Later, Lin Fan took Qing Tan out to casually explore the city, while also subtly inquiring about recent happenings in Da Kui City.

After wandering around for most of the day, the two finally returned to the inn.

Qing Tan spoke with concern, "Brother Lin Fan, from what I overheard outside, it seems Brother Lin Dong had a conflict with members of the Yin Puppet Sect outside the city."

"The Yin Puppet Sect is one of the three major powers in the Great Wilderness Province. It's said they even have experts at the Creation Stage. With Brother Lin Dong's current strength, facing them could be dangerous."

Lin Fan smiled, "Don't worry. Lin Dong is stronger than you think. And don't forget, he has a puppet comparable to the Creation Stage."

"As long as he doesn't get surrounded, even if he can't win, escaping won't be a problem."

"That's right, Brother Lin Dong also has that high-grade puppet you gave him," Qing Tan's eyes lit up in surprise. "Brother Lin Fan, did you foresee that he might face danger and lend him that puppet for this reason?"

"I'm not that prophetic. I gave it to him just in case," Lin Fan chuckled.

"No need to worry about your brother Lin Dong. Since he's not in the city, we'll meet him near the Great Wilderness Ancient Tablet. But before that, we can relax in Da Kui City for a couple of days."

"Mm-hmm," Qing Tan nodded, visibly excited.

Qing Tan had always been the type who enjoyed lively places and play. After days of either traveling or training in the forests, she was already quite bored.

Da Kui City was massive. Lin Fan and Qing Tan spent three days exploring the entire city, which made Qing Tan very happy.

That day, as they wandered around, they inadvertently arrived at Wanbao Pavilion in the southern district of Da Kui City.

"Let's check out what treasures Wanbao Pavilion has!"

Seeing the name triggered a thought in Lin Fan's mind.

From the ancient tomb estate until now, he had encountered and slain many enemies. Along the way, he had collected a fair number of treasures, including several spirit artifacts.

These spirit treasures were of little use to him, and as for giving them to the Lin Family in Flame City, their strength was too weak—handing them murderous loot would only bring them trouble.

Thus, Lin Fan decided to get rid of them all in exchange for some Pure Yuan Pills, which would at least be useful.

"Welcome, guests. Is there something you're looking to purchase?"

Just as they stepped into Wanbao Pavilion, a maid greeted them politely.

Lin Fan smiled, "Do you accept spirit treasures here?"

The maid paused for a moment, surprised that Lin Fan wasn't here to buy but to sell—especially spirit treasures.

"Honored guest, yes, Wanbao Pavilion also buys spirit treasures. Please follow me."

Quickly regaining her composure, the maid led Lin Fan and Qing Tan deeper into the building.

Soon, they arrived at a reception hall inside the pavilion.

Before long, an elderly man dressed in fine black robes entered.

"This is Steward Song of Wanbao Pavilion," the maid introduced. "He's in charge of purchasing valuable items. If you wish to sell anything, you can speak with him."

"Thank you, you may go," Lin Fan nodded.

The maid bowed and left the room.

Steward Song scanned Lin Fan and Qing Tan with a smile. "I heard you two have spirit treasures for sale?"

"Depending on the price," Lin Fan said with a smile, taking out a gray disc.

This disc was something he had taken from an elder named Shen, whom he had killed outside the ancient tomb.

Steward Song examined it and said, "This is a low-grade spirit treasure. How does thirty thousand Pure Yuan Pills sound?"

"What about this blade?" Lin Fan casually produced a large saber that once belonged to the head of the Di Family from Dayang Province—another low-grade spirit treasure.

"Twenty thousand Pure Yuan Pills," Steward Song replied with a smile.

Lin Fan then proceeded to take out more items: the Golden Lance from Da Luo and several spirit treasures from the Ancient Sword Sect.

Seeing one after another appear, Steward Song could no longer keep his composure.

He even recognized the weapons of Liu Ku and the two elders of the Ancient Sword Sect, making his heart tremble.

Taking a deep breath, Steward Song's tone grew more respectful. "May I ask for your name, young master?"

"Lin Fan," he replied calmly, glancing at Steward Song.

"Lin Fan? Do you happen to know a young man named Lin Dong?" Steward Song suddenly asked, as if a realization had struck him.

"Lin Dong is my younger brother. Why?" Lin Fan responded with a faint smile.

"No reason," Steward Song said, though inwardly he was thinking, No wonder—they're brothers. One killed a Yin Puppet Sect protector, and the other seemingly wiped out the Ancient Sword Sect.

In the end, Steward Song dared not haggle and offered Lin Fan a fair price.

After clearing out the useless spirit treasures, Lin Fan received nearly 400,000 Pure Yuan Pills—a very satisfactory deal.

"Farewell."

After counting the pills, Lin Fan clasped his hands in parting and left with Qing Tan.

"Wait!"

Just as they stepped outside Wanbao Pavilion, a group of people approached and suddenly called out to them.

"What do you want?" Lin Fan raised his eyelids slightly and gave them a calm glance as he spoke.
