Chapter 100: Do You Even Have the Strength to Try?

Hearing Lin Fan's question, Qingtan's expression turned serious as she replied with concern,

"Judging by their words, they were from the Ancient Sword Sect."

"They said a young man riding a Fire Python Tiger had caused them huge losses. I think… it might've been Brother Lin Dong and Xiao Yan."

Lin Fan raised an eyebrow.

"So they mistook Huo'er for Xiao Yan and attacked you?"

Qingtan nodded quickly.

"They also asked where that young man went."

"Ancient Sword Sect… I've heard of them. Not a weak force within the Great Wilderness Province," Lin Fan said calmly, then added,

"But don't worry. If they're still looking for Lin Dong, that means he's probably fine."

Qingtan smiled. "That's what I thought too."

Swish swish swish—!

Just then, sharp gusts of wind swept from the forest!

Dozens of figures in matching robes appeared before Lin Fan and Qingtan.

Leading the group were two old men.

One had bright red hair and an ominous expression—his aura suggested he was early Qi Creation Realm.

The other man radiated authority and possessed a mid-stage Qi Creation Realm cultivation—clearly stronger than his red-haired companion.

"Junior Brother!"

Their gazes swept the area and quickly locked onto the split corpse of the gray-haired elder, causing their faces to darken.

"You killed Junior Brother Guyan?"

The white-haired elder turned sharply toward Lin Fan, murderous intent flashing in his eyes.

"If you mean that malnourished, scraggly old man with gray hair—then yeah, that was me," Lin Fan replied blandly.

"Senior Brother, look. That Fire Python Tiger matches the one Guyan described…"

The red-haired elder leaned in and whispered.

"Good… very good!"

The white-haired man—Liu Ku, sect master of the Ancient Sword Sect—locked eyes on Huo'er, then glared furiously at Lin Fan.

"You lured the Ancient Dragon Ape to attack us… and now you've killed Guyan!

Today, I will tear you to pieces to avenge my rage!"

Lin Fan instantly understood what was going on—

They had mistaken him for Lin Dong.

But he couldn't be bothered to explain.

Instead, he smiled coldly.

"You want to tear me apart? The real question is: do you even have the strength to try?"

"You insolent brat! Think killing Guyan makes you invincible?"

Liu Ku sneered viciously.

He stomped the ground—his Yuan Power exploded outward like a storm!

With a roar, he conjured five massive swords in front of him and sent them stabbing viciously toward Lin Fan's vital points.

To the uninformed, it looked like a ferocious and deadly combo.

But to Lin Fan, it was full of holes.

"I gave you a chance. You didn't take it."

He shook his head and drew his Thunder Sword.

Swish!

The air tore open with a sharp, piercing screech.

A blinding streak of violet sword light slashed downward!

Before Liu Ku could even react—

He was cleaved in half from top to bottom.

Thud! Thud!

His two halves hit the ground, bloodless and lifeless.

BOOM!!

A thunderous explosion echoed through the forest.

A hundred-zhang-long sword scar, dozens of meters deep, appeared behind Liu Ku, lit by crackling violet lightning.

Everything in its path—obliterated.

No screams. No resistance.

The entire attack had been too fast.

The surviving disciples of the Ancient Sword Sect stood frozen, eyes wide with disbelief.

To them, Sect Master Liu Ku had been invincible.

But now?

He was just a corpse, split in two.

"You… who are you?"

The red-haired elder asked, trembling.

He didn't even dare run.

He knew that no matter how fast he moved—he'd never escape that sword.

Lin Fan tilted his head slightly.

"Does it matter anymore?"

"Go in peace."

With that, he swung once more.

The red-haired elder died without a sound.

Then Lin Fan calmly eliminated the remaining disciples and collected their Qiankun Bags.

Quick count: 200,000 Pure Yuan Pills. Not bad.

Looking over the carnage, he frowned, then activated the Flame Ancestral Symbol and incinerated every last body.

"Let's go. Time to find a new place to train,"

he said to Qingtan.

"Mm-hmm!" she chirped, already used to it all.

They rode off on Huo'er and eventually found another quiet spot in the mountains.

There, Lin Fan began combat training the final two forms of the Thunderflash Sword Art.

He had long since understood them—it was just a matter of putting them into action.

Before long, he'd mastered both forms.

To his delight, Swordbound Thunderflash wasn't just for attacking.

As long as he had enough Yuan Power, he could also use it for high-speed movement, traveling like a streak of thunder.

With that, Lin Fan and Qingtan set off once more—

heading straight for Great Puppet City, where they hoped to reunite with Lin Dong.
