Chapter 279 - Chapter 279: Sibling discussions

On the Planet Elysium within the Valhalla Galaxy, the most influential members of the Nonpareilus race were once again partaking in a meeting.

As most of them discussed the upcoming Supreme Speaker selection and who they each believed their race should support in becoming the next Supreme Speaker, a woman who sat beside Andromeda turned to her and asked in a concerned whisper, "Are you ok, Romy? You seem to have been distracted the last few days."

Andromeda turned to the woman with a smile before saying, "I'm fine, Raphi. I have just had something on my mind recently."

Raphilia was about to reply when the Nonpareilus Pregenator Omniel, who appeared as if he were made from light, suddenly closed his eyes, attracting their attention.

It took a few moments, but this action soon caught the attention of the others present as well.

"Is something wrong, Lord Omniel?" Andromeda asked with concern.

Omniel didn't respond straight away, but kept his eyes closed as those around him noticed that a small smile suddenly appeared on his lips.

After a few more moments, Omniel opened his eyes before saying, "Forgive me, everyone, but I think I will call an end to today's meeting here. Might I ask all of you to depart except for Andromeda, please?"

Everyone else at the table showed looks of surprise as this was something that very rarely happened; however, they all rose, with the exception of Andromeda, before bowing, after which some of them quickly departed through the doors while others, like Raphilia, vanished as their holograms disappeared.

"Is there something you wish to discuss with me in private, Lord Omniel?" Andromeda asked curiously.

"There is a discussion to be had in private, but not only between us. Please come take the seat beside me, our guests are about to arrive." Omniel replied.

Andromeda showed a look of surprise before realising something and quickly got up and moved towards the seat next to Omniel. As she did, she asked, "Is the Demon King requesting a meeting?"

"Indeed, it has been many years since we last spoke this way," Omniel replied, and as he did so, they both watched as two figures seemed to appear in the seats opposite them.

Andromeda recognised the first as the Demon King whom she had met several times throughout her life; however, what surprised her was the person sitting next to her. She, of course, recognised her as Lady Erkath, the former Universal Senator of the Deverinian race. However, as far as she knew, Lady Erkath no longer played a role in Deverinian politics and instead focused on her own business.

"Well, now isn't this a surprise? It's been a while since you last requested a mental-link sibling. Not only that, but you requested Andromeda be present and even brought Lady Erkath with you. I must admit that I am curious as to what you wished to speak with us about." Omniel said towards the Demon King.

"It's an honour to see you again, Demon King, and you too, Lady Erkath," Andromeda said politely.

"The honour is mine, Oracle Andromeda," Erkath replied.

"You wish to speak to us regarding the white dragon Tephe's prophecy?" Omniel replied with surprise as if he had heard a voice in his head before adding, "While it's true that her prophecy has never made sense, I never imagined that it would interest you."

Andromeda raised an eyebrow in surprise but did not comment on the subject.

The room was silent for a few moments; however, if anyone was present and observing they would notice that Omniel's eyes widened in surprise while Andromeda's lips curved up in a small smile.

Eventually, Omniel spoke, "You're telling me that the white dragon Tephe and this male named Adam actually travelled back in time and claim they have changed history by saving the Phoenix race from extinction? A claim that is backed up by Phoenix Empress Revi herself?"

"Tephe also claims that her prophecy changed?" Omniel asked as he looked at Andromeda before asking, "Is this possible?"

"That does indeed appear to be the case since little Tephe's prophecy has indeed changed," Andromeda replied calmly, causing the other three to show looks of surprise.

"You knew it changed and never thought it appropriate to mention something so important?" Omniel asked.

"My apologies, Lord Omniel; however, it was not the right time for you to learn of this," Andromeda replied.

"Are you able to tell me about it now?" Omniel asked with a slight frown.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you anything other than Tephe's original prophecy," Andromeda replied before going quiet for a moment before she recited.

"The dragon and the pureblood will fall through time.

The distant past they will go, but for what reason, they don't know.

Love will form as one woman mourns.

The flame that was snuffed out will once more bring light.

Their actions that day will make everything right."

"PUREBLOOD!" Omniel yelled in surprise at hearing the word before asking, "This Adam has pureblood?"

"That is still unconfirmed at this time, Lord Omniel," Erkath replied.

"I see, well, the second line clearly states that they will travel to the past, which confirms their story.

As for the third, I'm not sure why it mentions love. As for one woman mourns, I'm sure many women mourned the loss of their loved ones during the Siege of Fenix Nest.

The flame that was snuffed out will once more bring light, must relate to the Phoenix race being extinct in there previously….. Errrrr…. "

"Timeline?" Erkath suggested

"Timeline? I like that," Omniel said before continuing, "But now in this timeline they're fine.

Their actions that day will make everything right? This makes it sound like the universe intended for the Phoenix race to survive and that their original timeline, where they were extinct, was wrong."

"Intended? You make it sound like the universe is a living entity, Lord Omniel," Erkath asked.

Omniel looked at his sibling before responding, "If my sibling hasn't spoken to you about this subject, then they deem that you're not ready to learn about it yet."

"I see," Erkath replied with confusion as he looked at the Demon King, who didn't respond.

"So, what else do we know about this?" Omniel asked.

Erkath nodded before saying, "As you wish, Demon King." She then went on to repeat to Omniel and Andromeda everything she had just told the Demon King.

"So this Adam was the pilot of the black knight mech? That would explain why it was never seen again after the siege of Fenix Nest.

You also don't believe that this action can be repeated, and even if it were, they would only be able to return to that same point in time, which is good because a one-time incident is already complicated enough.

So what do we do about this? And who do we tell? From what I can see, we basically have three options.

Option one: We keep this quiet and ask all those who know about this to keep it quiet also.

Option two: We report this information to only the Universal Senate and the leaders of each race, and the Universal Senate then decides what is the best course of action.

Option three: We make the knowledge public, though honestly, I believe this is the worst of the three options."

"I agree, sibling, should this knowledge become public, then everyone will attempt to recreate what happened, even if they don't know exactly how it happened, or maybe they will foolishly try entering wormholes hoping that it will send them through time, and who knows what would happen should they actually succeed and travel through time and be able to change history."

"If we decide on option one, can we really keep this quiet, though? As the saying goes, as the number of people sharing a secret increases, the probability of the secret being revealed also increases, making it inherently harder to keep secret," Andromeda said before adding, "There are already eleven people who know this secret now after all."

"I take it you have not had a prophecy regarding this?" Omniel asked.

"No, Lord Omniel."

"What's your opinion on this, Lady Erkath, and do you think the others would keep it quiet?" Omniel asked.

"While I can say for certain that Rowena will, I can't say for the others. I guess Empress Revi will, since she has already kept this secret for two thousand years. Senate Pevaphio, as a senator, should be fine since the dragon race doesn't have a ruler.

Tephe aparently kept her prophecy secret for five hundred years, so she should be ok.

The questionable ones are Diva Lorelie, who honestly should have already informed the Merinmian royal family about this, and Stacey, Rowena's granddaughter, who may or may not follow Rowena's lead because of their history.

And then there's Adam, the biggest variable in this; he owes no allegiance to any race associated with the universal senate since he comes from a planet outside the known universe.
