After Lady Erkath's ship landed on Deverinian Prime, she immediately made her way towards the house that sat next to a lake on a floating island above the capital city.
As she arrived outside the house, Erkath knocked on the door and politely waited a few moments before she received permission to enter.
Upon entering the house, she found a Deverinian carving something out of wood while sitting at a table in what appeared to be the kitchen area.
"Demon King," Erkath said respectfully while bowing before going silent as she appeared to listen to something only she could hear.
"Yes, Demon King, I had a most interesting time on Oceana Seven. I gained much from Rowena's request for me to visit there."
"I did indeed meet the young man named Adam."
"My opinion of him?" Erkath asked in surprise as she thought for a moment before replying, "He is a most interesting individual and also an enigma. It is known that he comes from a far less technologically advanced world than our own, yet his ship and the tech he uses are more advanced than anything I have seen."
"Yes, I also saw that his stream appeared on The MMM Show."
"He also cares deeply for those close to him, but also seems to carry with him a great pain that he hides away."
"I believe the pain comes from what happened to his late girlfriend when he was still on Earth."
"Yes, luckily, someone from his own planet appeared recently in the chat and told us what happened," Erkath replied as she went on to tell the Demon King about what Emma Hopkins had told Adam's chat about how Jenny had been killed and Adam was falsely accused of the murder."
"Yes, although we still don't know for certain how he came into contact with his ship Spector or why it chose him to be its captain."
"No, it seems Rowena was planning to explain on The MMM Show why I gave her half my company; however, Malgath made a mistake when he made it sound like Stacey was merely a third wheel."
"Yes, she does indeed care very deeply for Stacey. She has always said how much she regrets not being there for her when she was younger and that she desperately wanted to make up with her. Luckily, it seems Adam was the catalyst needed to bring them back together, and they appear to be getting along well now."
"I made a deal with Adam, in exchange for giving Rowena half my company and a share of the sales, Adam gave me access to all of Earth's fashion, something that will radically change the fashion industry in the universe, kind of like how Lorelie is changing the music industry."
"That's correct, Diva Lorelie didn't, in fact, discover this new genre of music herself; it was something Adam gave to her."
"Yes, I was also quite surprised when I learned this, and it is in fact regarding something else Adam did that I have come to speak with you today."
"Yes, it is indeed that important that I had to come speak to you personally about it."
"No, I don't think the council could decide this without your input."
"I still can't believe I'm saying this, but both Adam and Tephe, the daughter of the Dragon Senator Pevaphio, travelled back in time."
There was a long silence in the room before Erkath spoke again.
"Yes, I am being quite serious."
"They apparently travelled back to the Siege of Fenix Nest. The heroes that the Phoenix race honour as statues are in fact Tephe in her dragon form, while equipped with some sort of special armour Adam gave her, and Adam himself in a mech."
"According to Adam and Tephe, the Nonpareilus Oracle Andromeda's prophecy when Tephe was born was different to what we know. It was said that she would travel back in time with a pureblood, whatever that means, to save the Phoenix race from extinction."
"Yes, Demon King, a pureblood." Erkath asked with surprise, as she didn't think the first thing the Demon King would ask about was the term 'pureblood'.
"As far as I'm aware, Rowena and Stacey are the only Brood that know Adam is the pureblood their prophecy relates to."
"Any change in their appearance? Not that I ever observed. Should there have been?"
"I believe only Stacey is currently feeding on Adam since they are in a relationship; however, I don't believe she did it while I was staying with them. Does a Brood feeding on a pureblood change them somehow?"
"What! That's actually something that happened? Why have I never heard this?"
"I see, so the Brood progenitor had his council cover it up and banned anyone from speaking about it; that would explain why Rowena never told me about this."
"I understand. I will speak with Rowena about this topic on your behalf; however, she may not be willing or able to speak on the topic."
"Yes, to prevent the Phoenix races' extinction. It seems that during their original... ummmm I suppose the term is original timeline, the white dragon and black knight fought together on the planet's surface. Unfortunately, this led to the eventual defeat of the Phoenix's space fleet and allowed the Herpolisk fleet to land their invasion force using drop pods freely.
That invasion allowed the Herpolisk forces to outnumber the Phoenix forces severely and ultimately led to their extinction.
However, history tells us that's not actually how it happened; the black knight did not fight on the planet and instead fought in orbit, aiding the Phoenix space fleet and was in fact instrumental in destroying the communication jamming ship and capital ship. This allowed the Phoenix race to signal for help, to which the dragons were the first to answer."
"Yes, it seems that a minor change in battle strategy resulted in the change in history, or at least that's what the two of them and Empress Revi claim."
"Yes, Empress Revi confirmed their story and has even granted both of them the title of Phoenix Friend for their actions during the Siege of Fenix Nest."
"Yes, before Empress Revi's opinion, we all thought it was a prank they were playing on us, but her appearance changed that and has basically validated that they did travel through time. After all, why would an Empress claim such a thing was real if it wasn't?"
"They are not certain of the details, but it seems some strange, unknown energy affected the netron reactor on Adam's ship. This, in turn, created a micro wormhole that sucked them back in time."
"Unlikely, it is believed that the original occurrence was simply a pure fluke and that it wont happen again because his ship's AI has since found a way to protect the neutron reactor from that unknown energy."
"While it is thought to be possible to travel back in time, replicating the effects, since that is apparently how they returned to the present. The most likely outcome is believed to be that they would just return to the same point in time again."
"That's correct, not when they left, but when they arrived initially."
"I agree. If that was indeed supposed to happen, who's to say that they wont meet themselves who had just appeared from their original timeline? Also, who can say what happens if you meet yourself?"
"For the moment, everyone has agreed to keep quiet about the whole situation. Since I told them that I would speak with you regarding this and get your advice, they all decided to wait and hear what you had to say before deciding if they should inform their own leaders."
The room was silent once again, but for a much longer time as Erkath waited to hear the Demon King's opinion on the matter.
"Your brother? You mean Lord Omniel?" Erkath asked in surprise.
"I understand why you think it necessary to speak with him regarding this matter; however, do you think it's wise to speak about this over the universal subspace network?"
"Your own way of speaking with each other?"
"Sit beside you? I am not worthy, Demon King." Erkath asked in surprise, as it was well known that no Deverinian ever sat beside the Demon King, as it was seen as a sign of disrespect.
"I see, if you're sure, then please excuse me," Erkath said before she nervously approached the seat next to the Demon King and sat down in it.
"Nothing happened for a few moments, and just when Erkath was starting to get fidgety out of nerves, she noticed that the small house the two of them were sitting in started fading away and changing until she somehow appeared in one of the seats located around a large circular table within a magnificent chamber.
The chamber had a marble floor, tall windows that showed the bright sky outside, long tapestries that hung between the windows, and pillars that stretched from floor to ceiling.
On the opposite side of the table sat a stunningly handsome man who appeared to be made of light and stared at the two with a warm smile, and a woman who had her eyes covered by a veil and had long, white-golden hair.
