[Alright, let's go over it one more time.]
Peter listened to Venom's muttering, feeling a mix of panic and something else inside, but he replied listlessly: "Okay, okay, let's go over it one more time..."
[Tuesday, you went on a date with Gwen and kissed her. Wednesday, you went on a date with Cindy and hugged her. Then Thursday, you said you were still thinking, and just straight-up bolted.]
[When you went back on Friday, the two girls were on either side of you. Congratulations, you successfully attracted the wrath of every nerd at Midtown High. They absolutely cannot understand why someone like you is mixing among them.]
"Except for Harry and Amadeus."
[I seriously doubt if Harry counts as a nerd.]
"Anyway, I really haven't come to any conclusion. It's so awkward."
Peter effortlessly swung through the skyscrapers of Manhattan, chatting with Venom. It was a quiet, peaceful November. Aside from dealing with Kang the Conqueror, it was as peaceful as ever. Forget about super-villain crime; even ordinary crime was rare.
[Perhaps you just want to string both girls along. You enjoy watching them scheme for your attention.]
"I do not."
[Admit it. You were happy when everyone realized both girls were orbiting you.]
"That's..."
Peter was momentarily speechless. Happy? Having two beautiful girls revolve around you is always a pleasant feeling. But Peter quickly snapped out of it and questioned Venom: "Wait, are you the reason I'm having these thoughts?"
[I can only amplify a thought; I can't create one out of thin air. If you think you can have many girlfriends, it's because that idea is already in your heart.]
There's a huge difference between having a thought and having that desire amplified enough to act on it. Peter was about to say this but held back. Why argue with a symbiote? They don't date.
"Spider-Man? Are you online? You need to look at this."
"Received, Dr. Jonathan."
A video sent by Amadeus (Cho), recorded by HERBIE, appeared on Peter's eye lens. He froze instantly, so much so that he crashed into the side of a building. Jonathan (Dr. Jonathan Ohnn - Spot) urgently asked from the other end: "Are you okay, Peter?"
"I'm fine. I just briefly wondered what universe I was in."
"I think anyone would think that after seeing this."
No, that's not what I meant.
Marvel Zombies. One of Marvel's most famous parallel universe stories. It primarily takes place on Earth-2149 and Earth-Z, but the zombie virus spreads across many universes. But the problem is—the invasion of the Zombie Fantastic Four should have happened in the infamous Earth-1610, the old Ultimate Universe! Why did these guys come to Earth-616?
What? Not only is 616 completely different, but 1610 has problems too? Did Reed end up with the Clever-Reed (Evil Reed Richards) script?
"Amadeus, Amadeus, are you alright?"
"I'm fine? Temporarily, yes. I'm trying to stop the zombified Mister Fantastic from locking down the Baxter Building, while dodging the zombified Human Torch and Thing. Mainly the Torch's pursuit."
Peter listened to Amadeus's report while simultaneously notifying the Avengers. He quickly saw a large group of Ultron drones fly out of Avengers Tower and rush into the Baxter Building, starting to evacuate as many survivors as possible.
"Amadeus, run down as much as you can. Ultron robots are locking down the scene and evacuating survivors. You'll be safe if you find an Ultron drone."
Peter looked up at the sky. At that moment, a dazzling white light shot into the Baxter Building. It looked a bit like... the glow of the Bifrost (Rainbow Bridge)?
"Uh..."
Amadeus inside the Baxter Building didn't answer, because he had already spotted the zombified Human Torch on the other side of the lab. The Zombie Human Torch laughed heartily. Zombie Reed had already deduced the signal and located Amadeus.
Now, if they could just take him out, they could feast on all the fresh meat in the entire Baxter Building first!
"Found you!" the Zombie Human Torch shouted excitedly and charged, instantly smashing head-first into a glass wall. Amadeus breathed a sigh of relief and immediately activated the control panel. Four glass walls instantly rose up, and the Zombie Human Torch punched the glass wall. Unexpectedly, the intense heat failed to melt the wall.
"High-polymer materials were added to this. Mr. Richards specially installed this for the experiment to prevent you from messing around. You won't get out in a minute or two."
"A minute or two? You're just trying to live for an extra minute or two?"
Amadeus shook his head and placed his hand on the control lever: "This is a vacuum laboratory, Mr. Johnny Storm."
"?!"
Zombies don't need to breathe, but combustion still requires oxygen. In an instant, the air was completely sucked out, and the flames on the Zombie Human Torch extinguished. Without the flames, the accompanying super-strength was lost. The Human Torch, now without his super-powers, had become an ordinary zombie.
Amadeus quickly picked up his phone and walked toward the lab exit, but the Zombie Thing had already descended, blocking the lab door. Amadeus had to quickly hide. The Zombie Human Torch continued to pound on the glass, but the Zombie Thing ignored him.
"Sorry, Johnny, I can't hear what you're saying. I'll let you out after I enjoy this fresh meat."
Damn it, the Thing arrived too early! The technology to deal with him isn't in this lab!
Amadeus looked at the constantly approaching Zombie Thing. Finally, he gritted his teeth and tried to rush out, but the Thing was faster. It grabbed Amadeus and laughed: "Haha, I got you! I'm going to enjoy your head first—"
A huge sense of weightlessness instantly struck. Amadeus fell to the ground, watching the Thing's body, now missing its lower half, crash down in front of him. A muscular man, comparable in size to Thor and bare-chested, put away his war hammer and extended his hand toward Amadeus.
"The mortal realm is truly filled with strange things. Hello, mortal. I am Heracles of Olympus. Do you know where Thor is?"
Eastern Europe, Latverian Palace.
Doctor Doom was staring at the incoming message from the Baxter Building. The holographic image of his most hated person, Reed Richards, was playing.
"Victor, if you are seeing this, it means the Fantastic Four have failed. An unprecedented crisis threatens the entire Earth. I implore you, my greatest adversary, to put aside our differences and save our world."
"Foolish Richards." Doom stood up, handing Valeria (his adoptive daughter) to his deputy, then rose to his feet and opened a green portal in front of him.
"I don't even need to guess who caused this crisis."
