A whole floating aircraft carrier descended from the sky, crashing onto Anansi.
Did the Spider God die?
From within the ruins, a violent noise could be heard. Then, a completely unharmed Anansi burst out, charging directly at Magneto. Magneto controlled the magnetic field around him, strengthening his physical body, and even this swift and fierce attack left him unscathed.
The clouds in the sky completely dissipated from the impact. Magneto was unharmed, but Anansi wasn't planning on killing him with a charge. On the contrary, he grabbed Magneto's face.
Magneto saw himself saving Hammerfall. The terrifying alien lay dead from his attack, his scorched body on the ground, filled with swords—this was the fate of anyone who challenged Magneto.
He saw his deceased children, Wanda and Pietro, finally smiling and no longer silent.
"Wanda... Pietro..."
The old man stared blankly into the distance and was then killed by the Spider God twisting his neck.
Magneto, who had reigned supreme and ruled a quarter of America for an era, died just like that.
"Well, on the bright side, at least America is half-safe now." Old Hawkeye's voice rang out next to Ashley. Just as she was about to ask what her cowardly, useless old man was doing back, she saw a shocking sight. Hawkeye had put on his Avengers uniform again, but he wasn't wearing that ridiculous mask because his left eye had been replaced with a prosthetic eye—the very same prosthetic eye taken from Bullseye's corpse just a few hours ago.
"What, you weren't going to send your old man into a fight blind, were you? This is your stepfather's handiwork, and it turned out quite decent." (PS: Ashley's stepfather is Ultron Mark VIII.)
Clint Barton smiled, hesitated for a moment, and then placed a hand on his daughter's head. To his surprise, his daughter didn't say anything this time.
"Take your mother and your stepfather and leave. Protect them, Ashley."
"What about you?"
"Me?" Old Hawkeye drew his best bow, with three quivers full of arrows on his back. "Don't worry about me. I'm an Avenger."
Ashley was silent for a few seconds before turning to go home, while Hawkeye watched the thing slowly descending from the sky. According to the data from the Necrolock prosthetic eye, that thing was terrifyingly strong, almost on par with Thor.
This is a death wish, Hawkeye muttered to himself.
"Alright, finally, we can talk."
Anansi landed in front of Peter. Deadpool, yelling "Yay!", charged forward, only to be thrown aside by Anansi's webs. He looked at Thor's hammer next to Peter and couldn't help but laugh, "You want to try it, right? But you can't lift it. What a shame."
In just an instant, before either Venom or the Iron Spider suit could react, Anansi rushed in front of Peter, violently tore off the helmet of the Iron Spider suit, and pinched his jaw. His eyes emitted a dazzling white light. "Let me see your story. Hmm, a very typical Spider-Man story..."
"Let him go!"
Old Hawkeye shouted while firing an arrow at Anansi. Anansi reached out and stuck a toy Captain America shield from a stall to stop the arrow, all while savoring Peter Parker's story.
"Very good, very exciting—you dare to deceive me?!"
With a sudden strike, Anansi was sent flying backward, smashing through several buildings in Hammerfall. The shocked Hawkeye looked at Peter, who was holding a hammer—a hammer no one could lift. His body was releasing lightning, Peter's own bio-electricity.
He raised Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, and with a roar, released all of his bio-electricity into the sky. The once cloudless sky began to grow heavy from the lightning coming from below, and dark clouds started to gather. Then, lightning that could engulf Peter's entire body descended from the sky, pouring into his body. Even Venom, which had an innate aversion to lightning, felt very comfortable.
A vast power surged into Peter's body, and lightning gathered around him. The Iron Spider suit underwent subtle changes, seemingly transforming from a smooth suit into something more like armor. He simply retracted the helmet.
Meanwhile, Anansi, who had been smashed into a residential building, wiped away the blood that the hammer blow had drawn from his mouth, got up, and began to laugh heartily.
"Interesting! Interesting! A mortal, trying to deceive the God of Lies?"
Anansi laughed and charged toward Peter. "You're the first mortal to ever do that!"
"Really? I thought a lot of people had boasted about their great deeds to you." Peter swung Mjolnir and then threw it with great force. Anansi easily dodged it, but then he saw the webbing hooked to the back of the hammer.
Next came Peter's fist, covered by Venom and swollen several times in size, being flung by the hammer.
"And all those things you boasted about to them!"
The giant fist smashed into Anansi's face, sending him flying backward. He flew for several kilometers, leaving both of old Hawkeye's eyes—his original and his new prosthetic—in a state of shock. Peter then activated his suit and flew toward the place where Anansi had landed.
Anansi flew without any obstacles, straight and fast from the immense force, until a mountain range caught him. A huge crack appeared on the mountain face from the point of impact, and the hundreds of meters of the mountain above that point shattered into giant boulders that began to tumble down.
Then, circles of rapidly rotating dark clouds gathered. Peter raised Mjolnir above his head, swung it in circles, and then made a motion of smashing it down toward Anansi. Thousands of bolts of lightning then descended from the sky, one after another, striking the spot where Anansi had been hit.
When the lightning ceased, Peter landed with Mjolnir in his hand. The area had been flattened by the impact and the lightning, and Anansi, looking completely unharmed, clapped his hands as he walked toward Peter.
"I have to say, you really surprise me. How long have you been a totem? Half a year? Or eight months? You're better at fighting than most other totems."
"And coincidentally, I love dealing with people who only know how to fight."
Countless skyscrapers rose into the air, and time seemed to return to Manhattan in 2012, the place where everything began. That day, the day Uncle Ben took Peter to the bank to deposit money—a day unlike any other.
