Kimi's eyebrows knitted together as she wondered who could possibly be requesting to see her at the company. Perhaps Alvin had decided to drop by, or maybe one of her friends needed something urgent. With Kirk away handling pack business in Thunder Growl territory, taking Dynasty and Zed along, she couldn't imagine who else would seek her out here.
Rising from her desk chair, she gave the employee a curt nod of acknowledgment.
Something felt off about the way he was looking at her though. As she stepped out of her office, she pivoted to face him directly.
"Was there something else you needed?"
The employee quickly shook his head, but his eyes darted toward the other workers scattered throughout the open office space. Following his gaze, Kimi noticed the same peculiar expression mirrored on every face that glanced her way.
A knot of unease formed in her stomach. What was going on with everyone today?
