Kimi's entire body went rigid when she heard his words. She quickly shook her head and spun around to face the opposite direction.
"No way. You absolutely cannot see them."
Kolton's eyebrows drew together in confusion as he studied her reaction.
"Why not? Are they located on your lower back? Is that what's making you so embarrassed?"
She couldn't believe this man had the audacity to ask such things. Did he even understand what he was suggesting? Kimi placed her hands against his chest and gave him a gentle push while brushing away the tears that had begun to form.
Her head moved back and forth decisively.
"Listen, I can tell you've been drinking tonight. You should really return to your birthday celebration. Whatever injuries I have are none of your concern."
She tried to step away from him, but Kolton quickly positioned both hands against the wall on either side of her head, effectively trapping her in place.
