Chapter 250 - Chapter 210-3: I, Glory’s Light, the Player, Am a Noble Apprentice of the Crimson Mage Tower (Part 3)

After scrolling for a while, he closed the forum and returned to his gaming pod. Most players were still in the early exploratory phase, with little understanding of Glory.

They couldn't offer him much help yet.

More importantly, even though he logged out of Glory, time in the game didn't stop.

In the game, one real-world day equaled three days in Glory. If he stayed away too long, no one could guarantee what might happen.

After logging out, his character didn't disappear, it simply remained in the world, asleep, as if taking a nap.

Just like the language system, this hyper-realistic mechanic had driven players mad with frustration.

But it didn't matter anymore. Among those who had stuck with the game for over a week, Glory had become utterly irresistible.

For all its frustrations, no one wanted to play anything else.

This radiant world was just too captivating.

Logging in again, Glory's Light exhaled in relief upon finding his body intact.

This level of realism meant logging out would become one of the greatest risks for players in the future. Secure housing or bases would become highly coveted.

Fortunately, as a member of the Crimson Mage Tower, he was already under solid protection.

Unless someone managed to break into the tower, no one could hurt him.

As for that? Glory's Light chuckled to himself. Just yesterday, he had overheard his superior, Level 3 Formal Mage Hertz mention an event.

Over a month ago, a powerful necromancer had led a Bone Dragon to attack the Crimson Mage Tower. The dragon's breath devastated half the surrounding street. The scene had been terrifying.

But even such a formidable threat had failed, the tower's powerful magical shield held firm.

At first, Glory's Light was skeptical. After all, dragons were said to be the strongest creatures in Glory, according to official game info.

Even Bone Dragons, though undead were still dragons. Shouldn't they be able to raze a human city with ease?

But after some discreet questioning, his fellow apprentices confirmed it. A dozen of them said they'd witnessed it themselves. One even admitted to wetting his pants from fear.

The vivid details were too consistent to be fabricated.

Only then did Glory's Light realize he had joined a mage tower so strong even a Bone Dragon couldn't breach it.

Pride welled up in his chest. Just knowing he was part of the Crimson Mage Tower filled him with excitement.

The stronger his backer, the higher his future ceiling.

But right now, his biggest headache was how incredibly hard it was to learn magic.

Glory was nothing like other games. In most games, you could just pay some gold and poof, you'd instantly learn a new spell.

Not here. In Glory, every spell had to be studied bit by bit, building out the spell's magic nodes manually in your mind.

This hardcore system made learning spells painfully slow.

The reason? Simple: it was just too hard.

"Glory's Light! Quick, come with me to the Second District teaching area!!

Lady Vina is giving a lecture on spell application herself! Hurry, if we're late, there won't be any seats!"

The small-framed Nass burst into the room, face brimming with excitement. It was clear something huge was happening.

"Lady Vina?" Glory's Light blinked. The name sounded vaguely familiar.

"Of course! You've never heard of Lady Vina??" Nass looked at him, genuinely baffled.

Glory's Light coughed awkwardly. "Mind filling me in?"

Nass didn't push further but couldn't hide the gleam of admiration in his eyes.

"Lady Vina is Lord Li De's personal maid."

"Maid?" Glory's Light looked puzzled.

Nass shot him a glare. "Let me finish!"

Glory's Light rubbed his nose and stayed silent.

Nass raised his chin proudly.

"You think being Lord Li De's maid is easy?

Don't be ridiculous. Lady Vina has been with Lord Li De since the very beginning. She's the one he trusts most.

When he's not around, the entire Crimson Mage Tower is managed by her.

She holds tremendous power." He gave Glory's Light a stern glare.

"You'd better not offend Lady Vina. She holds massive influence in Green City.

Even someone like Lord Hertz bows respectfully to her.

If she wanted to deal with us, one glance is all it would take and tomorrow our corpses would be floating in the city sewers."

Glory's Light nodded fervently. "Don't worry. I won't drag you down."

At the same time, he felt a strange awe rising toward this maid of the mage tower's master. She was definitely not someone to mess with.

Then, curiosity sparked. "Nass, have you ever met Lord Li De?"

He had been in the tower for a while now but had yet to meet its mysterious master. To control such a powerful faction… what kind of being must he be?

Just the thought made him a little giddy.

Nass nodded fiercely, eyes burning with fanatic devotion.

"Of course! I was lucky enough to see Lord Li De once. I can tell you for certain:

Lord Li De is a powerful Advanced Mage. He's the personal disciple of Grand Mage Spark, and the youngest prodigy mage in all of Green City.

His name is sung by bards. His achievements are the talk of every noble in the city."

He fixed Glory's Light with a serious gaze.

"Believe me, if you're lucky enough to meet Lord Li De, you'll feel nothing but honor."

Hearing this, Glory's Light felt intense curiosity surge within him.

Just what kind of person was this man, so powerful, so well-connected, and owner of such a formidable mage tower?

Would there be a chance to get close? Maybe even… cling to his thigh?
