Shane looked at Francis and watched his tummy move.
"You remember the genman that was in that movie that you saw today? His name is Timothy, but he goes by Tim. He is the product of a human father and a Genman dad, and much like your mom tried to protect you, he was sent away also to live with others. The owner here, Mr. Zack, felt so much for Tim that he adopted him as his son." Francis paused, settling back in his chair. "Tim is hybrid and chose to carry those two babies for a genman/human couple that were unable to have children themselves. It's not that they didn't try—it just didn't happen for the two of them. Now one day you might have another little brother, and it would be very nice to have a little brother, wouldn't it?"
"But that's not going to happen because mom said I wrecked her landing strip when I came out of her, so that she couldn't have any more babies. I was a one-time edition," Shane replied, his voice matter-of-fact.
