"Where's Guren?" Kureto Hīragi scanned the crowd, spotting Shinya Hīragi, and directed his question towards him.

Shinya Hīragi stepped forward in response to Kureto Hīragi's inquiry. "Guren and Aoki are leading the assault against the third progenitor. They should be engaged in combat by now."

Kureto Hīragi's expression hardened. "Aoki? He's going up against the third progenitor with Guren? Doesn't he fear being utterly defeated and crawling back in disgrace?"

"Don't worry about that, brother. You know Aoki's strength. We wouldn't have completed the Nagoya mission so easily without him. Our original objective was to eliminate the nobles and withdraw, but crippling the third progenitor would be a significant advantage," Shinya Hīragi explained.

Kureto Hīragi lifted his head, pointing towards a group in the distance. "Is that the 'advantage' you mentioned? They look rather… disheveled."

The assembled soldiers looked towards the approaching group—Aoki and Guren Ichinose's squad, their faces grim, bearing the unmistakable signs of defeat.

Aoki, though seemingly unscathed, displayed an unprecedented air of dejection.

"Aoki," Shinoa Hīragi and the others rushed forward, their concern evident. "What happened?"

Aoki sighed, glancing at Shinoa Hīragi and the others. "We lost. I underestimated the third progenitor's power. I couldn't suppress her alone, and Guren-san couldn't assist me."

Shinoa Hīragi and the others were taken aback.

Aoki had never before suffered a significant defeat; he seemed capable of overcoming any obstacle.

The realization that even Aoki couldn't suppress the third progenitor instilled a sense of helplessness within them.

If even Aoki couldn't handle her, no one in the Japanese Imperial Demon Army could.

A soldier approached, grabbing Aoki's collar. "What do you mean, you lost?! Do you know that on our way here, we were ambushed by vampires?

Ignoring your squad's actions and the fact that you let a vampire escape, nearly half our comrades were slaughtered!

If you had won, none of this would matter, but you tell us you lost?!"

The soldier's outburst was quickly quelled by Guren Ichinose's intervention.

Many soldiers shared his disappointment; while Aoki and his squad believed victory was certain, they, the non-combatants, were being slaughtered, and Aoki ultimately failed to secure their victory.

Observing the soldiers' plummeting morale, Kureto Hīragi smirked.

He then declared, "Everyone, you now understand. While the Moon Demon Company is the elite of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, each of you is strong, but your commander, Guren Ichinose, seems to lack judgment, following the orders of an inexperienced brat, leading to this outcome. I deeply regret this."

"However, do not give up so easily, for our arrival brings the hope of victory."

He turned to Aoi Sangū. "Proceed, Aoi."

Aoi Sangū nodded, gesturing towards a transport plane. A large shipping container was slowly extracted from the plane.

Shinya Hīragi protested. "Wait, Kureto, what is that?"

Kureto Hīragi responded coldly. "This doesn't concern you. Stand down."

He then turned to Guren Ichinose. "Hmm, your personality doesn't seem to have changed yet. Disappointing."

Seeing the container, Aoki, using his Rinnegan, saw its contents, his expression changing drastically.

He didn't intervene, firstly because his power hadn't fully recovered, and secondly because he'd noticed something unusual about Guren Ichinose from the start, beyond just the defeat.

"Alright, that should be enough, Guren." Meanwhile, Guren Ichinose's world shifted. A pair of delicate hands caressed his cheek, and a girl's voice echoed, "Give your body to me."

A buxom girl with waist-length purple hair, dressed in a Japanese schoolgirl sailor uniform, with red eyes, appeared before him.

Shinoa Hīragi would have been shocked; it was her deceased sister, Mahiru Hīragi.

"Stop it," Guren Ichinose muttered.

"Poor Guren, you can't even resist me. Why? Is it because you saw your subordinates slaughtered?" Mahiru Hīragi leaned closer.

Guren Ichinose's eyes shifted from brown-black to red.

Kureto Hīragi noticed the change. "Oh, the personality change has occurred. Whatever. My plan can proceed."

The container's top opened, revealing countless black, barbed iron cables behind Kureto Hīragi, his gaze now cold and distant.

"Kimizuki, stay calm. No matter what you see, don't act rashly," Aoki whispered to Shihō Kimizuki, but before Shihō Kimizuki could react, the cables shot towards them.

Aoki could easily evade them; Shinoa Hīragi and the others could manage as well.

However, many soldiers were impaled, others temporarily resisting but unlikely to hold out for long.
