Chapter 6 - Deal with the God

Chapter 6: Deal with the God

Victor didn't have to tell Dramore all these loopholes, as he knew Dramore could read his mind so he already knew what he was going to say, but he said something else.

"Add one more condition stating that after we are done with our contract, you can never interfere in my and Anya's life."

Dramore heard everything Victor had thought and said. He didn't mind adding those conditions. He could see Victor was very cautious, which was definitely the right thing to do.

"Alright, I would change everything according to your word."

The words on the contract changed with just the thought of Dramore, and Victor read the whole contract carefully again and now he felt satisfied with it.

After that, Dramore told him to hold the other end of the contract while he held one end and told him to just think in his mind to agree to the terms of the contract.

Victor did just as Dramore had told him to, and after a few seconds, the contract started to shine in a bright golden hue. He didn't show much reaction and kept holding onto the contract as two mysterious golden balls emerged from it, one entering his body and another going to Dramore.

When the golden ball of light entered his body, Victor didn't feel any pain or form of change in his body other than the fact it felt as if there was a shackle placed on his soul binding him to Dramore's soul, who had the same shackle, which he could feel.

He felt like he could trust this contract for some unknown reason he didn't know of.

Now there was only one thought in his mind.

'Anya, I finally have the chance to bring you back.'

Victor's eyes turned a little moist understanding the absurdity of the situation, but he wasn't complaining as he could do anything to get a chance like this.

But he didn't let the surge of emotion get to him as he wiped his tears off from his face. The emotionless look appeared on his face once again, but now his eyes weren't as soulless as before as there was a tinge of hope in them.

'I will save the world by any means possible.'

Victor looked directly into Dramore's mystical eyes and asked him seriously.

"Which world are you going to send me to? Are you going to tell me about the world, or do I have to find out once I get there?"

Dramore smiled for a bit as he knew if Victor was able to come here, that meant he should know about that novel one way or another, as this was one of the conditions to pull anyone into this space.

"You must have known about the novel 'Worldbound: Vows of Ruin' "

Victor, hearing the name of the novel, remembered he had read only the first part of the novel as he found it terrible because of how much drama, politics, deaths, and schemes that novel had even with the impending sign of the world being at risk. Those characters seemed to ignore it, which irritated him quite a lot as they were fighting over a crown so much.

'That novel had too much gore, blood and death, a bit of romance here and there, but that wasn't enough for him.'

'I really didn't like that novel, but why was Dramore asking him about that novel?'

He just remembered the name of the Author of the novel, 'God of Entertainment,' because of it he had even posted a review criticizing the pen name the Author used.

'Could it be?'

Victor looked at Dramore's face, which had weird twitching in it.

"Are you the writer of that terrible novel?" The disappointment in his eyes was quite visible as if telling Dramore that he had expected more from him.

Dramore was both entertained and annoyed by the audacity Victor had to insult his novel in front of him. While he was only the narrator as everything inside had really happened, it still hurt him a bit.

A strained laugh released from Dramore's mouth.

"Hahaha, but you're going into that same terrible novel. It wasn't just a novel—it was a real story, and save that world if you can."

At the end, he had a smirk on his face.

Dramore didn't know how many parts of the novel Victor had read, but even if he had read only two parts, it would be enough for him to realize how hellish the task of saving that doomed world would be for him.

Victor had a hardened expression on his face hearing Dramore's words because he had only read the first part of the novel and knew from online chats that the world would be destroyed at the end of the novel, which amassed even more hate toward that novel Worldbound: Vows of Ruin.

He remembered the story revolved around a boy who was the direct descendant of the once mighty house, House Aureth, which ruled the world of Veleria with the unified support of the other thirteen great houses beside them in the past.

But it said they were destroyed thousands of years ago. That was what was written in the novel, and there was no information besides that in the first part.

Victor didn't care how cutthroat the world he had to go into was, but for the sake of his Beloved, he would stop at nothing. He didn't think the God in front of him would allow him to read the next three parts now.

"You are absolutely right about that, Human, and I'm looking forward to seeing your fate. Hehehe, and I just found out from your thoughts you only read the first part."

"It would be more entertaining than I had thought."

Victor didn't know what was in the second part of the novel and why it was making Dramore so excited. He didn't care—whatever it had, he would just face it and save the world by whatever means possible.

There was still a question in his mind which, after knowing Dramore for only a short time, appeared in his mind.

"Are there people besides me you have sent to that world?" Victor asked.

Dramore smiled at his question and didn't say anything that would reveal the fact directly, but he did like him a bit, so he gave him a hint.

"Don't you know what my title was, Human?"
