Chapter 2 - The Weaver And The Void

The multiverse didn't start by matter being thrown around aimlessly, or by chance. It was created from the fundamental opposition of two absolutes of consciousness: There existed before the very first bit of light in the darkness; before even a potential of an Allspark,

THE DUALITY: PRIMUS, AND UNICRON.

Primus was the Weaver, a consciousness of infinite geometry whose essence understood how to take the nothing of the void, and knit into perfect selfsustaining structures. To Primus existence was a clockwork, every movement dictated by its counterpart within. The Light of Reason and the light of structure. The counter, Unicron. The Unraveler of the Weaver. Void made manifest, it knew that existence was a cosmic sickness; and that the only cure was the quiet emptiness before all existence. He did not hate life, he was merely returning it to the nothing it was stolen from. Their everlasting clash created the plane of creation, a torrent of energies where the laws of physics were born from their eternal battle of wills. Realizing his work could not possibly be secured against the looming menace of Unicron, Primus infused himself into a planetary engine-a giant sphere of metal with machinery of such incomprehensible intricacy they spanned dimensions-and this became Cybertron. A world of sliding plates and sub-etheric cities, whose metallic lungs breathed thermal vents; and whose divine spark vibrated with an inherent frequency. But even a planet cannot guard all of creation; so Primus separated himself from his body to provide its sentinels; divining his own spark, and allotting twelve archetypes the right of divine authority.

These were the first generation of Transformers, the Twelve Primes,

each not a birth of the Allspark for even it had yet to come into being; but a child of the Holy Frequency. Each Prime master of a specific element of creation, with bodies built of materials strong enough for the new cosmos.

FIRST OF THE TWELVE: PRIMA

Prima was the archetype of the Warrior. From his birthplace he came; in armor of a silver and white hue that soaked the background radiation, wielding a shard of the matrix, the Star Saber, and nothing he fought for was for any reason but for the Order. His own optics scanned for "glitches" in the matrix where Unicron's power might spill through and whenever his leg-actuators fired they would ring with a clear bell-like chime like a church, announcing that the Law was in motion.

SECOND OF THE TWELVE: VECTOR PRIME

The master of Spacetime. Vector's body seemed to be made of clock-work, the pieces moving to no particular pattern. This was because he did not only reside in the present, his consciousness occupied infinite points in time, he saw all the possible futures, and all the potential pasts. His internal coolant systems worked in sync with the constant expansion of space; and were his heart to stop beating time itself would cease to exist, keeping Cybertron from being ripped from the flow of time.

THIRD OF THE TWELVE: ALPHA TRION

The keeper of the Record of Time. While Vector kept the clock running; Trion made sure all of the sparks that ignited on Cybertron had their own specific path; and his Quill and Covenant let him view the future and assign a purpose to them all. His own body was designed to withstand infinite time with gears and micro-bearings that never ceased functioning; he was truly the librarians of the Gods, forever keeping the ledger of what each spark would become.

FOURTH OF THE TWELVE: SOLUS PRIME

The mother of Matter. The only Transformer capable of utilizing the Forge. Her body could mold and bend matter itself with nothing more than the blow of her hammer. Everything built on Cybertron, from the tallest spires to the smallest microchips, and the strongest weapons, was built by Solus and her tools; her body contained inner temperature regulators hotter than any other Transformer, her chest plating always glowing with a warm amber light.

FIFTH OF THE TWELVE: MICRONUS PRIME

Micronus was the smallest, yet arguably most essential Prime. His unique spark contained the universal key, capable of linking the sparks of the other eleven to his own at once. The other twelve could only harness such power with Micronus to redirect the flow of energy; otherwise the star saber would have ripped Prima's arm from his body, or Vector's chroniton particles would have been strewn throughout space.

SIXTH OF THE TWELVE: ALCHEMIST PRIME

A chemist of cosmic proportions, Alchemist Prime could manipulate energon on a fundamental level. With it he could craft fuels, weapons, and life saving medications with his own eyes allowing him to perceive atomic structures within anything he focused upon; he was truly the scientist of the soul, understanding both the organic and the inorganic.

SEVENTH OF THE TWELVE: NEXUS PRIME

Nexus Prime, first Transformer to merge. His entire existence revolved around the phrase 'The whole is greater than the sum of its parts', he could split into five separate bodies that operated autonomously, only to then reform into one impossibly tall mechanical colossus. He embodied the Unity of the Cybertronian race.

EIGHTH OF THE TWELVE: ONYX PRIME

The Lord of Beasts. Onyx rejected the anthropomorphic shape of his brothers in favor of a body mimicking the wild, primal forms of biological life on unknown planets. Centaur-like, winged, clawed, with optics glowing in a predatory green he defended the feral nature of Cybertron; where the metal grew naturally and was not molded with the touch of the creator.

NINTH OF THE TWELVE: AMALGAMOUS PRIME

The first Shapeshifter; Amalgamous was composed of billions of tiny nanites which shifted at the barest thought of their user into whatever form they willed. His existence was one of constant change; and he was the father of the T-Cog, the organ which would grant the Transformers their transformative ability.

TENTH OF THE TWELVE: QUINTUS PRIME

A scientist, or perhaps something more. Quintus viewed the universe as a blank canvas which he, using his artifact known as the Emberstone, wished to fill with life. From new races of beings to entirely new galaxies, Quintus pursued this goal without end. He was the ultimate pioneer, with the greatest possible drive to innovate and explore.

ELEVENTH OF THE TWELVE: LIEGE MAXIMO

The Prime of manipulation. Where Prima stood on the front line, Liege Maximo lurked in the shadows, his smooth, almost liquid-like body betraying the sharp edges of his thoughts. He saw everything coming, every attack, every treacherous thought. He was needed to safeguard the light against extinction, but that meant walking in the dark.

THE TWELFTH OF THE TWELVE: MEGATRONUS

The warrior cloaked in shadow. The destroyer. While all others built and recorded, Megatronus cleared the path for them to walk upon. His armor was thick enough to repel anything that flew, his internal spark chamber lined with depleted uranium to contain the burning light within. He was the final wall, between Cybertron and the encroaching nothing. And so the twelve ruled Cybertron with divine perfection; a cathedrallike world where there was no hunger, no death, no war; and where every bot built was a marvel of technology and a tribute to the Weaver.

Ever since the Primes Won over their Evil counterparts That were the primes or Unicron, Unicron still watched from his ever expanding prison of darkness; growing impatient with this ordered utopia he could not destroy with brute force.

Instead he sent a single speck of his being, compressed and compressed until its sheer, unfettered malice granted it form; the most vile, the most evil of creations that Unicron had ever known. He called it OMEGNATRON the combination of All primes of unicron who died with the utmost saturation of evil.

With the end of Chapter One, the very sky of Iacon begins to bleed. The stars do not fade, they are being murdered. The faint, oppressive, nearly-infinitesimal shard of purple shadow begin to fall to the Golden Spires. The Golden Age ends, and the Bloody History is about to begin.
