Miranda's POV
I missed Emily.
I thought that if she had been around when I discovered the curse, it wouldn't have hurt this much.
I was just a frightened young girl with no one at her side.
"You've lost a lot of weight, my lady," she said, and I let out a huge sigh. If only she knew what I had gone through these past few days.
"Where have you been?" She looked somewhat different.
It could also be due to the fact that it had been a while since I saw her.
"I went away on a trip, it's a long story," she flashed me a smile. "But I'm back now," she grinned.
"I'm glad you're here. I've missed you so much."
I wanted to tell her everything that had been happening since she left, but there was just so much to say that I didn't know where to begin.
"How's you and the Alpha?" She winked at me suggestively. "I was surprised to hear that you're now in his room. That means you'll be the Luna soon."
I said nothing but just smiled softly.
