Colton's POV
I wondered if they had another reason for coming here unannounced, and as I watched them, I realized that it could be for the same reason they had visited previously—her.
"Alpha Colton," Alpha Bane, the Alpha of the Nevermore pack, began, "this cannot be ignored. The girl is a danger to you, to the pack, to the entire order of our kind."
I clenched my jaw, refusing to let them see my irritation. Alpha Bane had not been in attendance during the last meeting. He was one of the Alphas I respected due to his wisdom—but not this time.
"Her name is Miranda."
He waved his hand dismissively. "Names don't matter when curses are involved. I'm sure you've seen it yourself—the rune, the fire. If the prophecy is true, then…"
Prophecy?
"What prophecy?" I narrowed my eyes at him.
He leaned back. "I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, Alpha. I heard you have a witch here."
