Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: This Is the Human World, but It Feels Like Heaven!

[Ding! Nanashi has sent an exclusive red envelope to Chito!]

[Ding! Chito has received the red envelope!]

[Ding! Chito has applied for permanent migration to group member Nanashi's world. Approve?]

"Approved."

Megumi and Kanae looked at Nanashi in confusion as he reappeared—this time, with two cute girls wearing oversized military coats trailing behind him.

"It's... humans!"

Yuuri and Chito's eyes lit up with joy and disbelief. After everything, they had finally found people again. No one wanted to live with loneliness and despair forever.

Nanashi turned on the lights.

"Megumi, Kanae, could you please help them take a hot bath and change into clean clothes?"

"Sure," they replied softly.

Without asking questions, the two girls stepped out of bed—naked, but calm—and gently guided the newcomers toward the bathroom, under the girls' curious and slightly shy gazes.

Nanashi finally felt a little peace return to his heart. He had no regrets about spending 10,000 Doomsday Points to bring Chito and Yuuri here.

He did it simply because he wanted to.

No deeper reason.

When he opened the chat group again, the place was already buzzing with activity.

Bronya: "Nanashi, what happened? Was it urgent?"

Lemuel: "You seemed unusually gentle just now."

Nami: "What's up with that newcomer, Chito? You even admitted to being a god. Didn't you always hate that title?"

Momonga: "Right? I remember Boss Nanashi always mocked gods—like Aqua here."

Aqua: "Humph!"

Surprisingly, Aqua didn't talk back.

Saeko: "That new 'permanent migration' feature—does it mean Chito used 10,000 Doomsday Points to join Nanashi's world for good?"

Nanashi: "It's a long story. Chito's world was... special."

Nanashi: "It was a post-apocalyptic world."

Bronya: "You mean, like, the planet was destroyed?"

Silver Wolf: "If the planet was gone, Chito wouldn't have survived. It must be apocalyptic in another sense."

Nanashi: "Right. The end of her world was the end of civilization."

Nanashi: "Only two people were left: Chito and her best friend Yuuri—two girls."

Shinobu Kocho: "Only two people... that's..."

Emilia: "No wonder she asked how to live with despair. What a hopeless world."

Tushan Honghong: "So pitiful… Brother Nanashi, how are they now?"

Nanashi: "They're safe. I brought them here. They'll live with me from now on."

Tushan Honghong: "That's wonderful!"

Shinobu Kocho: "To them, Nanashi-kun, you really are a god."

Seitenshi: "Do gods truly exist in this world?"

Revenger: "Wait—are you really the Holy Son of Heaven?" (*Seitenshi means the Holy Son of Heaven.)

Seitenshi: "Yes. May I ask who you are…?"

Kisara Tendo: "Kisara Tendo."

She had changed her nickname.

Seitenshi: "Tendo… As in the Tendo family?"

Yes. That surname belonged to one of the powerful families.

In fact, both she and Seitenshi were students of Meiwa Academy.

But Seitenshi had never actually attended—too busy with national affairs.

A dark, twisted world corrupted by a mysterious virus…

Nanashi held no affection for that place.

Not even for its so-called protagonist.

To him, Tatsumi was far more capable than Satomi Rentaro.

Satomi Rentaro—

He was aimless, indecisive, and all talk. Always unsure of himself. The kind of person Nanashi disliked the most.

Saeko: "Another pair from the same world?"

Kisara Tendo: "Is it true? Is everyone here really from different worlds? And… can they actually travel between them?"

Nanashi: "You're free to believe it or not. See for yourself."

Kisara Tendo: "…"

She stared silently at the screen.

If traveling to other worlds was real… those people had to be powerful, right?

If she could gain that power…

She would do anything—everything—to take revenge.

To kill the people from the Tendo family who had murdered her parents!

Seitenshi: "Nanashi-sama… can you destroy the Gastrea?"

Nami: "Gastrea? What's that?"

Seitenshi: "They're creatures infected by the Gastrea virus. It turns them into monsters."

Saeko: "Like zombies?"

Nanashi: "Different. They evolve. Gain power."

Nanashi: "Some zombie viruses evolve too, but not in Saeko's world."

Shinobu Kocho: "So, they're like demons?"

Nanashi: "More or less. They look even more twisted—monstrous at a glance. The powerful ones are stronger than Muzan."

Nanashi briefly explained the Gastrea virus.

It was more dangerous than the zombie virus from Saeko's world, or the demonic blood in Shinobu's.

The Gastrea virus—once known as the Devil Virus—could rewrite a lifeform's genetic makeup.

Not only did it analyze the host's DNA, but it reshaped the body into its most optimized, lethal form.

The rate at which the protovirus rewrites DNA is brutally unfair—far beyond anything found in nature.

Once the erosion rate within a host exceeds 50%, their body can no longer maintain a human form. When their appearance collapses, they transform into a creature known as a Gastrea.

Some infected individuals develop unique abilities during this process—abilities they never possessed as humans.

The protovirus is a parasitic agent capable of rapidly rewriting genetic material, turning its host into a protozoan monster in a very short span of time.

It retains and amplifies the characteristics of the original organism, making the transformed host larger, stronger, and more ferocious—without necessarily causing physical collapse.

Fortunately, it's not airborne. The virus is only transmitted through direct injection by infected organisms.

That may be the only "merciful" trait of the protovirus.

In the world of Seitenshi and Kisara Tendo, no cure exists. The only available treatment merely suppresses the rate of infection.

Shinobu Kocho: "This virus… it's terrifying!"

Seitenshi: "Lord God, you know so much. Could you please destroy the Gastrea… and save our world?"

Nanashi: "Tell me—how many stars are listed at the end of your world?"

Kisara Tendo: "Five stars. Classified as a future doomsday."

Seitenshi: "That's what mine shows as well."

Nanashi: "I see… In that case, eliminating Gastrea would be easy for me. I could even destroy the protovirus itself in an instant."

Nanashi: "But let me ask you something first."

Nanashi: "What do you think the darkness of the world is?"

Seitenshi: "It's the protovirus, of course!"

Kisara Tendo: "…"

Seitenshi's answer was immediate.

But Kisara remained silent.

She had seen more—endured more. She understood.

The darkness in their world wasn't just the Gastrea.

It was humanity.

The cruelty in people's hearts.

Nanashi: "So, are the Cursed Children—those born infected—darkness too?"

Seitenshi: "…"

Nanashi: "There's something you should understand before you ask me for help."

Nanashi: "I am not a kind or merciful god. I'm not like Aqua, granting every wish with a smile."

Nanashi: "What I love, I will protect with everything I have. But what I hate… I will destroy without hesitation."

Nanashi: "If I came to your world… I might not be able to stop myself from wiping out humanity—or at least most of it."

Seitenshi: "…"

Nanashi: "So pray that no Doomsday Companion appears in your world. Because if they do, I will eliminate the protovirus—but I'll also 'cleanse' the majority of your species."

Nanashi: "There's only one reason: most of you disgust me."

March 7th: "…This is the first time I've heard Nanashi speak so cruelly."

Nami: "Still… I trust his judgment."

Shinobu Kocho: "Me too."

March 7th: "We believe in you, Nanashi."

Esdeath: "So this is a world of killing and war? Hmph. Then I welcome the arrival of Doomsday Companions."

Aqua: "I don't want to admit it, but… Nanashi is actually quite gentle. If he finds a world revolting, then something's definitely wrong with it."

Bronya: "As someone whose world was saved by Mr. Nanashi, I don't doubt him. Seitenshi, maybe it's time you took a hard look at your own world."

Seitenshi: "…I understand."

Seitenshi clenched her fists tightly, lips trembling.

Has our world truly fallen so far?

Even a god despises humanity… Is this world beyond saving?

Elsewhere, Kisara Tendo sat alone in her room.

Nanashi's words gave her something she hadn't felt in years:

Hope.

Hope for revenge.

So what if the world was ending?

So what if humanity was doomed?

She didn't care.

She had become a monster born for one purpose—revenge.

Nanashi closed the chat group.

His expression was calm.

Every word he had spoken… he meant.

The world of Seitenshi and her people—

It disgusted him.

Not just the Gastrea and their grotesque forms…

But the rot in the hearts of humans.

It stank from the very core.

"Nanashi, can I get two sets of clean clothes?"

Kanae's voice called out from the bathroom.

Nanashi shelved the lingering bitterness and went to the wardrobe.

There were plenty of women's clothes prepared—backups and extras, mostly for Kanae.

A moment later—

Two pretty girls stepped out of the bathroom wearing white short-sleeved shirts. Their hair still damp, their faces dazed.

Chito and Yuuri stood quietly, looking around the warm, well-lit room.

It was too peaceful.

Too perfect.

Chito whispered, "Is this… really not a dream?"

"Ah! That hurts!"

She winced in pain.

Yuuri had pinched her arm.

Chito turned to glare. "Why don't you pinch yourself?!"

Yuuri blinked innocently. "But I'm scared of pain…"

Their silly exchange made the others chuckle.

Chito and Yuuri had already been through so much in their original world.

Exhausted beyond measure, curiosity could no longer keep them awake.

They fell asleep the moment their heads hit the bed.

Curled up in each other's arms—perhaps the only way they could feel something real, something safe.

The three adults exchanged glances before quietly stepping out of the room.

They moved to the living room and sat down on the sofa.

There, Nanashi began telling Megumi and Kanae about what had happened in the girls' world.

The lonely, despairing journey those two had endured drew a heavy silence from both listeners.

Moved by their pain, Megumi and Kanae made a decision.

"We'll sleep with them tonight," Kanae said softly.

Nanashi sighed. Is this what they call maternal instinct...?

Resigned, Nanashi could only do one thing—go find Nezuko.

Nezuko… who had become a demon.

A sweet-smelling one.

Almost as if she'd sensed his approach, Nezuko stirred.

Kie woke up as well.

Without hesitation, she teleported into the room—and joined the fight.

It was a sudden ambush.

Nezuko didn't even have time to refuse.

Or maybe… she didn't want to.

Her mind, already fogged with pleasure, couldn't muster the will to resist.

Tamayo, who was nearby, heard the noise but simply chuckled to herself.

She didn't interrupt.

In the end, Kie and Nezuko both got what they wanted.

The next morning, Sayuri, Yukino, and Eriri were tending to the dazed Chito and Yuuri.

They'd already heard about what the girls had gone through earlier that morning.

Since Nanashi had brought them into this world, it was only right that he take responsibility for them.

All four of them had asked Shizuka Hiratsuka for leave.

They had plans.

A fun day out.

Maybe some shopping at the mall.

A visit to an amusement park.

Strolling down the snack street.

They planned to do it all.

Not just to help Chito and Yuuri adjust to their new world…

But to share a joyful experience as a family.

A group of a dozen—maybe even twenty—moved together through the city.

And each one of them was a beautiful young woman, dressed in vibrant, stylish outfits.

Naturally, their group drew a lot of attention.

Surrounded by beauty on all sides, Nanashi didn't try to hide.

Instead, he let his presence dominate the atmosphere.

This is a view only I get to enjoy, he thought smugly.

Of course, while some lived in bliss, others were left in turmoil.

As they enjoyed their day, students back at school were gripped by a strange unease.

Faculty Office

Shizuka Hiratsuka rubbed her temples in frustration.

Something wasn't adding up.

Three people had asked her for leave at the same time.

Yukino, Nanashi, and Eriri.

Although Eriri wasn't in her class, all three had submitted the request through Nanashi's phone.

Worse, they even asked her to put it through.

But the real question was—why were they all in the same place?

She already had an idea about the situation between Nanashi and Eriri.

They'd been walking around the school openly as a couple.

Anyone with eyes could tell what was going on.

"That kid Nanashi… he's such a handful."

Not only was he shamelessly dating one girl on campus, he even had the guts to flirt with her, his teacher!

But what about Yukino?

They were a couple. That much was clear.

So what was she doing tagging along with someone else's relationship?

Just yesterday, she'd reassured Haruno on the phone that Yukino was doing fine.

Did karma really slap me this fast?

Haruno had said she'd finished up work and would visit Yukino soon.

"..."

Shizuka exhaled deeply and muttered, "I just hope nothing goes wrong."

Paranormal Research Club Room

Miko was still asleep.

Marin lay sprawled on the table, looking completely bored.

Yui kept glancing toward the door, distracted.

Nanashi, Yukino, and Eriri hadn't shown up today.

Nanashi and Eriri's relationship had already become common knowledge.

But Yukino…

Yui's thoughts spiraled.

She didn't know how to feel about her own relationship with Nanashi anymore.

Thinking about Yukino's behavior only made her more confused.

Student Council Room

Kaguya sat quietly on the sofa, staring at the president's chair—crafted by Nanashi himself.

Empty.

He hadn't come today.

She sighed and pulled out her flip phone.

Opening her contacts list, she found only two names.

Ai Hayasaka… and Nanashi.

Her thumb hovered over the second name.

But she hesitated.

After a few seconds, she gritted her teeth and tapped Hayasaka's name instead.

She began typing a message.

Hayasaka, dressed like a fashionable delinquent, sat at her desk browsing her phone.

Her lips twitched as she read the incoming message.

[Stupid Miss]: "Hayasaka! The president didn't come to school today!"

...And what exactly do you want me to do about that?

Should I drag him there for you?

Still, she got up and started gathering information.

What she found was unexpected.

Nanashi, Yukino, and Eriri had all taken leave.

Eriri.

That name stood out.

Her connection to Nanashi wasn't ordinary.

Hayasaka debated whether to tell her young lady.

From what she could tell, Kaguya was falling in love—and for reasons even her own maid didn't fully understand.

What would happen if she found out Nanashi already had a girlfriend?

"Oh, looks like I've got some digging to do," Hayasaka sighed.

Her silly young lady was giving her stress-induced shoulder pain.

Ugh… my back… someone please kill me…

Nanashi and the others spent the entire day showing Chito and Yuuri around.

The two girls were innocent and adorable, and everyone quickly grew fond of them.

Sayuri, Tamayo, and Kie, in particular, doted on them with genuine affection.

Eriri and Nezuko, on the other hand, found themselves feeling a little uneasy seeing that—but deep down, they cared for the two girls just as much.

Even the night raids treated Chito and Yuuri like cherished little sisters.

Akame and Kurome shared their favorite snacks and sweets with them—an honor rarely given.

Even Cocolia, who hadn't shown such warmth in ages, exuded a motherly affection that had once been reserved only for Bronya.

They visited every corner of the amusement areas, even if no one else seemed to notice.

But to Chito and Yuri, this day was something precious. For the first time in a long while, they felt truly alive.

They encountered people unlike anyone they'd ever seen in their own world.

And for the first time… they weren't alone.

Surrounded by kindness and laughter, the loneliness that once clung to them began to fade.

They tried foods they'd never tasted, saw things they'd never dreamed of.

It may have been the human world—but it felt like heaven.
